Rooms clean, service excellent with decent food selections. We did Premium, which includes robes, constantly filled fridge with soft drinks and beer, and bottle of wine. Coffee makers are Keurig and espresso. Beds were comfortable. Buffet open until 10:30 for breakfast and 12:30-3:30 for lunch. Mexican restaurant was best. Would stay again.

This place is NOT a 4-star hotel. The rooms are super outdated and beds are uncomfortable. The beach is dirty with garbage and seaweed, the pool is dirty. Most of all, the food is straight garbage. The buffet is awful, the Italian restaurant was even worse. We upgraded to the gold wristband nd it got us….nothing. No drinks in our room, no coffee bar, the “beach bar” is not a beach bar. There’s no nightlife at all. Only giving this 2 stars because of the staff.

Temazcal
Such a great experience from beginning to end. The temazcal Mayan ceremony was not only detoxifying but also spiritually uplifting. The heat, herbs, and guided meditation helped me release tension. My skin feels incredibly soft and I left feeling refreshed, renewed, and deeply connected.

Temazcal - Mayan spiritual service at the Reef Playacar location.
We had a great time! It was a fun experience and much needed relaxation. Rosio and Adela were very nice and respectful to us. Would recommend to anyone staying at the reef locations in Playacar! We left relaxed and full of heated fresh skin, but don’t forget to put your hair up!

Friendly staff, great food and drinks, amazing beach, fun activities, comfy beds, and very affordable. We had such great weather it was very hard to leave. The whole resort is built around a natural cenote. Pathways are lined by jungle. We seen spider monkeys in the trees.
