My husband and I were here 3/6/20 to 3/11/20. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everyone was professional, courteous and friendly. A manager shows you to your unit to make sure everything is perfect in your unit. We were welcomed with a fruit, cheese and cracker plate. Also the bed had a gorgeous pattern of fresh flowers on it. I had arrived in paradise! I had a one bedroom ocean front unit in building 9. It was absolutely beautiful with so much character and huge with 2 bathrooms. We booked through HGVC. Housekeeping comes in everyday! There is an elevator to take you down to the beautiful beach. Chairs and umbrella at the beach are included. No problem getting them. There are multiple pools and restaurants. The 1887 bar has musicians every night. I can’t say enough positive things about this resort. A shout out to manager Dionne Franklyn! Also, to server Shaliqua at D’onofrio’s Restaurant.
Great Stay-Nice Suites
Stayed at the Crane for 4 days in early March-Took advantage of room sale and stayed in a 2 level rooftopp BBQ/Pool suite. Rooms are very large with full kitchens, washer/dryer, great sized living area and two terraces. 2 bathrooms in the suite as well although a tub would have been nice for one of the bathrooms. Pools are gorgeous as are the grounds. Staff are very friendly, helpful and diligent. We ate at two onsite restos-L'Azure and Zen-both were very good. The cafe also does great coffees. A definite return destination.
Great vacation at The Crane
This was my first time staying in Building 5, and the ocean views are fantastic! As usual, we enjoyed the restaurants and the professional, friendly service across the entire resort. The BBQ at The Grove was a lot of fun too, with live entertainment and plenty of good food. I will be back !
Lovely resort but the rooms are very dated and it showed inside and outside our room.
We were disappointed with the quality of the room, spacious, but the furniture was really worn out. The spacing between the cushions seemed like did not fit correctly. We had lounge chairs on our back patio with small wade pool. The fabric was ripped down the sides of both recliners from age. There was a lovely gazebo outside as well with 4 chairs and table. Great idea but all of the chairs were falling apart and missing the bottom part that stabilized and leveled it to the ground so they all swayed and tried to put things under the feet and table to make them levels. We had asked for another room but were told there were none available. Also the AC in the bedroom made a terrible noise every time it turned off, very annoying at night when trying to sleep. During our6 days, the beach had more and more seaweed every day. Trying to clean it up every day was challenging. There has to be a better way than what you’re doing now. Our first dinner we went to Zen, looked wonderful. 5 minutes later they sat a party of 16 right next to us. They were partying, brought their own drinks in and they were loud. I saw another small table of 2 looking to make the same move and we both asked to be reseated away from the large party. We were fitted at the sushi bar which was was great. We meet a. Ice couple there and a wonderful dinner and meet them several times during the week. Fun place but the hotel staff don’t give you too much hospitality. Most hotels I stay at would immediately have given us a better room but there’s always one person there that is referred to as the NO lady. I need another room as mine isn’t all there. No you can’t have another room. I know your type and it’s not worth my vacation to have an argument with a hostess. The resort itself is lovely, food is ok, not great and you can meet people from around the world. Glad I saw it at least once. I’ll be going back to Grand Cayman the trip. Love the 7 mile beach, never seaweed.on the beach and the clearest water you have to have.
The intersection of heaven and earth!
We have been owners at The Crane for many years. At eight weeks, this was our longest continuous stay yet. It’s hard to know where to begin when we think about this stay. Crane staff are fantastic. Friendly and helpful, they always make us feel like we’re among family! The resort itself is exquisitely beautiful from the buildings to the pools to the beach to the restaurants. And the landscaping is out of this world! If you’re looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of life, this is truly heaven on earth!
