Fantastic van tour with Ezra..
Took an island tour with several stops and ended with lunch at Lone Star Restaurant. Our tour guide was EZRA and he was very knowledgeable and informative about the places we visited. Really enjoyed seeing local 'out of the way' sites and learning about native flora and fauna. We also enjoyed his sense of humor and very understandable command of the English language. We recommend scheduling your trip at the earliest possible time to miss the big bus tour groups. He has other tours including a local food tour that we are booking on our next trip. THANK YOU EZRA! HIS PHONE NUMBER IS 246-234-8176

5 star prices and 2 star service
Resort has very nice facilities but nowhere near enough staff to deliver a quality product. I would not recommend a vacation or a fractional ownership at this property.

TOP TIER SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM
I've stayed at the Crane Resort for the past 5 times that I've visited Barbados. The professionalism, Top tier hospitality and friendliness of the staff is commendable. A special thanks to Joan, Donna, Anthony, Bryan, Shaquan, and Chaunte for their commitment to ensuring that I had an amazing time on my excursions, Bellman service to my room, helpful resources about the Crane and events, transportation to Oistin's, and a clear understanding of all my charges. I truly appreciate you guys! And will see you again in March!

DO NOT BOOK HERE
ROOM 3130: Issues with first room included a ripped and uncomfortable mattress, broken toilet handle and horrible smell in shower. WiFi across the resort was painfully slow. Phone service went out one day we were there. Because we were impacted by the flight restrictions in the Caribbean, we had to stay additional nights so were moved to a new room. ROOM 411A: The second room did not have working A/C. There was a portable unit however there were gaps in the doors letting mosquitos in. We were also unable to lock the sliding doors. Multiple promises to bring mosquito netting resulting in nothing. Mattress was uncomfortable and had multiple stains. We also found a roach in the shower. ROOM 5365: We were again moved to a new room. The third room had no working A/C. Toilets did not flush and room had strong smell of sewage. No hot water so had to take cold showers. Needless to say overnight was miserable…but at least we were no longer a mosquito buffet. FOOD: 1887 was out of Mozzarella sticks. The Carriage House was out of half the menu and when chicken satay came we were then told they were out of peanut sauce. Would have helped to know that when we ordered. Zen tasted great but caused vomiting later that night. The Italian restaurant was mediocre. Azure was horrible and expensive. The bakery was closed and the small shop with gelato was not clean with flies. There was no cook at the beach bar/grill so unable to order food and long waits for drinks. Best meal was at the adult/spa pool bar. STAFF: There were a few stand out staff members. Joan at the front desk was great during an extremely stressful situation for all due to all flights to America cancelled. There’s was a gentleman who was also helpful but I did not catch his name. We also had an amazing bartender at 1887. Also cannot recall his name. The maintenance team who came the morning we checked out (room 5365) were also great. The majority of our experience with staff were not good. Seemed like we were an inconvenience, especially at the Carriage House and Italian restaurant. Also many promises of help with no follow through. Fortunately the manager did not charge us for the last night, which was appreciated.
