If you want rude service stay here.

Pros- The best snorkeling was located right in front of the resort. The other guests were nice and polite. The drinks at the bar were very good. They have a food truck for snacks during the day. they did a good job of scheduling activities during the day. Cons The resort is old and needs a facelift. There are not enough chairs to go around for the amount of guests that are at the resort. My air conditioning didn’t work for the first three days and although I brought it to their attention, the front desk assured me it would be fixed and it never was.they did not take it serious and make an effort to fix it until I gave them an ultimatum to either fix it or give me a new room. Although some of the workers at the resort were pleasant, most were rude and acted like our simple presence of being there was an inconvenience to them. I could not get extra towels. When I asked for extra towels, they acted like it was a big ordeal. The two paper thin towels they give you to use felt like 200 grit sandpaper. The room was not very clean and needed major updates. One night at dinner they completely forgot about our table and the waiter even left. Our dinner took about 3 1/2 hours. My wife got fed up. She just gave up and went to bed as it was getting close to 9 o’clock and our dinner started at 6:30. I believe I finally gave up around 9:45 and left, never getting my dessert. The food was average at best. My wife who is very patient ended up losing her patience near the end of our trip because the staff was so rude. Most of the staff that worked there did not seem like they enjoyed what they did. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are much more affordable and better Airbnb‘s to choose from or other resorts to stay at that they may appreciate your business and treat you better.

    Island Gem

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Club Barbados. It's a great location, walking distance to Holetown and bordered by lovely sandy beaches. The gardens are well maintained, making for a beautiful tropical atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the many water sports available including snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding. You can also book a sail on a Hobie Cat with one of the wonderful members of the waterfront staff. We also enjoyed the many organized activities, including pickle ball and dance classes. It's a beautiful spot to unwind and soak up some sunshine while admiring the Caribbean Sea.

First and last time very disappointed

Just returned from 10 days at the hotel , extremely disappointed. The hotel does not reflect the photos on their profile/ website. Poor food , many times at the buffet food ran out. Quality was extremely poor. We had the sea view garden room , paid extra for. The bathroom mold around the bath . Toilet seat broken , pipes under the sink was disgusting . Towels thin grey and marked . The terrace was dirty along with the sun lounges also very noisy due to air con units constantly blowing hot air. Not possible to sit out . The hotel was tired , the worse hotel we have ever been to, which is annoying due to the cost . Unless up and about early its very difficult to get a sun bed around the pool or near the sea. There is no beach at the hotel which is beyond their control. We definitely wont be returning. W

    Not as expected.

Just back from Club Barbados. The whole place needs a refurbishment especially the cracked and tiles missing in pools. A good painting and repairs would make the place so much attractive. Try not to have a room near reception as you will hear loud road traffic noise which starts up at 4am and the large bins get emptied daily early morning. The room 254 was large but very tired and our towels were so old and grey plus coat hangers broken, large gaps in front door and basic amenities. We had booked a superior room which this was certainly not. The food was very good as was the choice of drinks. Staff always pleasant and helpful. I love to swim in the sea but for the whole week was not allowed to go into our bit of beach as too rough. We went daily to Holetown beach or Paynes beach which were about 15mins walk away in either direction. This is a 3 star hotel and obviously an adult only hotel where the older generation like to repeat visit. I will not book here again a go to a better condition hotel in the beach where I can swim and a far quieter and updated room. Beware of the monkeys roaming about as two people got scratches just walking to the restaurant as monkeys in ground bushes. They went straight to medical centre for a tetanus jab. Also they do take items off your balcony!!

Don't waste your money on a day pass for this resort

My three friends and I had purchased a day pass for The Club, Barbados, in February of 2026. Our cruise ship was stopping in port for the day on Feb. 10. The online purchase process was smooth and the instructions clear, and we only had to pay a $20 USD deposit. When we arrived at the resort, the reception staff seemed completely unaware as to how to check us in. It took over half an hour and lots of calling around and checking this and checking that. It was precious time we didn't have to waste as our ship was only in port until 6:00 p.m. We felt we needed to depart the resort by 4:30 to ensure we made it back in good time. As we only arrived at the resort at 11:30, we wanted to make the most of every minute. At first we were told we would not have a room to change into our bathingsuits. We could use the washroom near the restaurant/pool. Two of our friends headed to the pool and another friend and I waited behind. WE were then escorted to a room where we could change. We had to take all our belongings because we were not left with a key for the room. We were given very little direction as to how to enjoy the resort. We were abandoned at the change room and no one interacted with us again. We then went to the beach area to try and get some loungers on the beach. Except there is no accessible beach anymore. It's been washed away by the ocean. You can look down over a rock wall to the beach, but you can't get down to the water. So we decided to get some loungers on the sandy area above the beach. But there were no loungers available. They were all secured by other guests. An area to the side had a number of loungers piled up in storage. We looked around for someone to assist us in bringing the loungers down and setting them up, but no staff member ever came around, so we ended up pulling down the heavy, wooden loungers ourselves and setting them up, partially in a walkway as there was no more room on the sandy overlook. The pools at The Club were very nice for swimming and so we spent a lot of time there. It would have been nice if they'd had someone skimming the water as there were an awful lot of leaves in the pools. When we went to the outdoor restaurant for the buffet lunch, it was completely underwhelming. There was a small selection of food. We opted for a burger and some salad. The table server asked if we wanted drinks. Two of us asked for Diet Coke, one asked for regular Coke. When they were delivered to the table, we informed her that ours were not Diet. Basically, she shrugged in a "what do you want me to do about it?" manner. Eventually she took the glasses away and brought two others. Was it Diet this time? We didn't care. By this time, we were glad just to get ANY service. The diningroom staff moved at a glacial pace and seemed absolutely disinterested in being there. We were getting much superior service on our cruise ship! By around 3:00, we left the pool area and returned to our loungers on the sandy ocean overlook only to discover they'd all been moved (with our stuff on them). They were making room for a wedding. As our chairs were no longer set up in a suitable spot, we returned to the pool and managed to secure four loungers under umbrellas, scattered around the pool. By the time we left the resort, we were not unhappy to be returning to the excellent service and facilities we had on our cruise ship. The cost of the day pass was $150 USD, which converted into about $210 CAD. We also had to pay $40 each way for a taxi to the resort. Was the day pass worth it? Absolutely not. I would not recommend purchasing a Caribbean Day Pass to this resort. We did not get value for our money.
