    Inspired by the simplicity and elegance of the desert, Manta — designed by JSa Arquitectura and Enrique Olvera — was conceived as a black box that focuses on the views from one of the most desirable and secluded playas in Cabo San Lucas. Our name has a thoughtful double meaning: a manta ray which symbolizes the kitchen’s focus on seafood, while manta, the Spanish word for canvas, conveys the idea of freedom in artistic expression. As The Cape’s culinary centerpiece, Manta celebrates the Pacific Coast cultures, taking inspiration from Mexico, Peru, Japan and beyond.

  • POINT BREAK
    The hotel’s main pool’s swim-up bar and terrace offer a vibe that’s both lively and laid-back. Dine and indulge in drinks whether enjoyed via the swim-up bar, at a lounge chair or underneath the shade of the restaurant’s covered patio. Signature items include fresh catch-of-the-day ceviche, Baja specialties, tacos on house-made tortillas, sandwiches and more. Enjoy sessions with a local DJ set every weekend.

    Modern Mexican meets traditional American by the beach. Join us for breakfast, lunch or dinner at our beach house-inspired Cabos San Lucas restaurant and patio. Here, you’ll find locally-sourced seafood, contemporary Mexican cuisine and American favorites in a casual, breezy atmosphere overlooking the ocean and picture-perfect views of El Arco. Don’t miss our famous Cape Toast or Sunday brunch with a food station and live music.

  • THE ROOFTOP
    The Rooftop is the quintessential spot for an evening out for two, drinks with friends or a private party. This signature space features open-air bars, al fresco dining, sunken communal seating, a fire pit, and serene water features — emblematic of its Baja locale. Live acoustic music is played to the setting sun, and DJs are on regular rotation at this signature Cabo San Lucas restaurant.

    Beautiful location, but won't be returning

    The Good: • The ocean and beach views are stunning — truly the best we’ve seen in Cabo. • Every single room (even the standard) is nice, spacious and has an ocean view • The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating • Manta, their signature restaurant, is excellent! Highly recommend their tasting menu ($130pp plus drinks) • Rooftop is cool, but they’re willing to close it for private events • If you surf, the beach location is a huge perk The Bad: • The food and drinks are outrageously overpriced, leaving you feeling robbed. $10 each time you ask for water, $28 for loaded fries, $38 for a sushi roll… it feels like you’re at Disney more than Mexico. The food quality doesn’t match the price. • Drinks are weak—to the point of going down like water. • The property is SMALL. With one pool and one hangout area… three nights felt repetitive. • The overall ambiance is dark: low lighting, dark walls, moody design. Stylish and masculine, but not uplifting/tropical/relaxing. • The energy feels muted, almost somber—and doesn’t give happy, vacation vibes. We stay at a lot of 5-star hotels and live in an affluent part of LA, so we’re used to splurging on hotels and food/drink, but this wasn’t it. Overall, it felt like we’d rented an expensive room with a pool—not a true, luxurious resort experience. By day 3, the prices made us feel trapped with gouged prices. I think this place got a lot of media attention and is overhyped, and they raised their prices to take advantage of Americans. For comparison, we stayed at Nobu a few years back (same price) and it was exceptionally better.

    Loved it all so so much!

    Everything was fantastic. The view, the live music, the food, the staff overlooking the ocean and the surfers. It was a perfect experience.

    You will not be disappointed!

    Second time staying at The Cape. Once again, an amazing experience. The Food, atmosphere, rooms and service were impeccable.

    Best dinner ever!

    Service was great! Food and drinks were amazing. Views to die for! We had a great time! Dj playing great music. Will be coming back soon!

    Really a stand out visit.

    Travel a lot globally. Don't write reviews. This place is outstanding. Any minor glitch was fixed with friendliness. First time here. Only 4 days, 2 in a residence then over the middle also facing the ocean with a plunge pool. Too many of the team to mention as they really work hard and look after you. Michell our concierge however was outstanding. Tip. Don't go here for beach holiday. Equiv of the Maui shore break 😂
