At Sunscape Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa, kids ages 3-12 will have a blast with all the fun-filled activities at the Explorer’s Club for Kids. Feb 24, 2026Cristian for the all the fun, smiles and the WIN!!
We had so much fun with the sunscape entertainment crew. Cristian had all the dance vibes and was such a blast. Zumba, Karakoe, and aquacise with Cristian were hands down the funnest events!! Cristian is an absolute 10/10. We learned the coolest dance moves and Cristian had us smiling the whole time. We recommend you enjoy any of his or the whole crew's activities!!! We had so so so much fun with Cristian and the entertainment staff!

Feb 24, 2026Needs major upgrade
Unfortunately, the Sunscape did not our expectations. The hotel really needs an upgrade. The room was not in good condition. The faucets were broken, one was almost impossible to use. The bathroom had a whole in the ceiling that was so scary. The headboards and lounge area was so dusty. The pool area was well maintained and seemed clean but the towels were a disgrace. The pool towels were worn and stringy, i just can't even explain. Staff was nice and seemed helpful but the condition of the hotel was deplorable.

Feb 23, 2026Good time had by all (5 adults)
2 couples and a single spent 2 weeks at the resort. Check in was fast and efficient with our bags accompanying us. Bell boy made sure everything was OK with the room. Air conditioning was set at 18C a bit cool for us but was easy to adjust. King size bed was comfortable and housekeeping kept it in good shape (20 pesos on the pillow every day may have got some "extras"). Some days it was mid afternoon before the room was made up - usually days with a large number of checkouts and checkins. The food was good (not exceptional or fancy). The World Cafe (buffet) had lots of selection for breakfast and dinner. We did not do lunch there. The Mexican restaurant is buffet and open most nights for dinner. We found there was enough variety to satisfy everyone. Italian restaurant thinks it is more upscale than it is - dress code (collared shirt, dress shorts and no sandals with open toes for men), women seem to get away with anything. We did lunch at the "food truck" - burgers, hot dogs, special of the day (wings, corn dogs) and make your own nacho plate. Service at all places was very good. The pool chairs/lounges were reserved early each day (we had one early riser so were never short where we wanted to be) and the leave it for 30 minutes and lose it was not enforced. Bar service around the pool was more than good for our group who did not drink a lot but were served quickly when we were ready. Our group was quite satisfied with the whole experience considering the price we paid.

2/10 stay, look around…
Very disappointed with the overall experience. I would recommend doing research, if you’re able to see my Sunscape review, please view it. If you are one who travels frequently to semi frequently, you might want to look at another place. The drinks were not very good(diluted) and liquor quality was poor, we bought several bottles off of the location and they were much better, even took some home.

The staff is AMAZING!!! Christian, Jose, Omar, and Nesto did such a great job. They helped us feel like we were at home and made sure we enjoyed every minute. I will say that the food and the pool were not nice. I didn't have a warm meal the entire trip... the pool was dirty and was only cleaned one time during our two week stay. We ended up leaving the resort for almost every meal ... I wish the food and pool were as good as the staff!
