Do not come here
I was extremely dissappointed from the time I arrived. The room that I paid for was not guaranteed. The restaurants were closed half of the time. The premium bar ran out of liquor everyday and was not replaced. It actually was not replaced for 3 days at one of the 2 premium bars.

Honeymoon stay in October 2025
The overall stay was pretty average. The service is poor, the staff barely looks at you, and the food is awful. The minibar and air conditioning didn't work properly in the room, which is absurd, especially since I paid for the most expensive room, with an ocean view, but a huge tree blocked the view from the window. What really saved our stay was the private beach, which is wonderful. The bar and pool are also average, but nothing compares to the rudeness of the service. They complained about everything we did and always gave us dirty looks. We're Brazilian and felt a certain difference in treatment. They treated the Europeans very well and, sometimes, the Spanish-speaking Latinos. Brazilians were left out. In short, I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Disappointed
* My recent stay at this beach resort was deeply disappointing, despite a few redeeming features. The beach itself was breathtaking, with pristine waters and excellent snorkeling along a vibrant reef, which was the highlight of the trip. However, the resort’s numerous flaws overshadowed this. The facilities are in dire need of a complete overhaul. Our room was outdated, with water dripping from the ceiling, a missing shower door, a cracked sink, and a toilet that didn’t drain properly, making it a hassle to use. The common areas were equally neglected, with a tired, worn-out atmosphere. The main dining area felt like a dormitory cantina—chaotic and unappealing. Service was another major issue. Be prepared for endless lines at the bar, cafeteria, and restaurants. A single, overwhelmed bartender struggled to serve the entire resort, highlighting severe understaffing. The staff, clearly overworked and dulled by constant customer complaints, came across as unfriendly and disengaged. We pretty much came back to sleep in the resort, rented a car, going out eating elsewhere, and going to other beaches. This place is a teardown, plain and simple. With countless better options available, don’t even consider staying here—save your time and money for a resort that actually delivers.

Beach A+, the rooms clean, beds comfortable, rest needs work, a lot of it
Beach, outstanding. Breakfast experience, severely damaged by cockroach running across pancake station. French fries took over an hour and a half to get after talking to manager. Mint for mojitos is a rare thing, should be a staple item at a tropical resort. Birds, rats (not mice, large rats) are cohabitating with everyone. Very unsanitary conditions for an outdoor eating area, when pigeons by the dozens swarm tables, spy for food, drop their poop all over the tables and chairs. The staff tries, but probably overworked and not enough of them. I have never complained about any place I’ve been to but this time there were too many triggers. Rooms were clean, beds are good, but the AC was flooding the room multiple times a week.

Avoid sunscape, u can do better
My wife and I had to leave the sunscape on Sunday to salvage our vacation. Our room had a view of a parking lot and dumpster and when we arrived we we treated to a floor fan as AC in likely the worst room on the resort. I asked for info on AC repair or to move to an Air conditioned room with no consideration given, just told no rooms available and AC not likely to be fixed during our stay.....I had to book another resort. The Royal Sea Aquarium resort was amazing and saved our vacation. We stayed at sunscape a few years ago and the place has gone WAY downhill. Front desk(sunclub associates were dismissive). If you hear royal tower as your building.....run, you can get better accommodations in a college freshman dorm. Disgusted with my experience at this run down resort.
