Deceiving
The pictures online of the hotel/resort are deceptive. The rooms look nothing like pictures online. The rooms were out dated, small as a closet, they don’t have elevators, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. We were on the 3rd floor. The staff were very nice, but it wasn’t genuine, it seemed forced because they are there to help sell you a timeshare. The dining are looks like a cafeteria, nothing nice about the atmosphere. The food selection was horrible, literally 5 items on the menu. I was at the resort all of 4 hours. I ended up booking at another resort!

Resort misrepresents its’s self.
Arrived September 13th 2ish in afternoon. 1st we chose this resort because it had elevators, we are 4 senior couples. Next we chose Sun Club partial ocean view for upgraded amenities and Adults only pool. Our only room request was to be as near to one another as possible. The building #8 is not very big, 3 floors in U shape around pool. The rooms are dated but since Hyatt bought the property they are making improvements and working on more. Ok, so we arrived yesterday and quickly greeted and taken to air conditioned room with self serve refreshments and light snacks, very good, trouble was there wear over 30 guests in a room that seats 15. Then you had to stand in line to begin check in with only 2 of 3 desks working, mind you lobby desks had 5 working 🤷🏻♀️. When 1st of our group was waited on they told us our rooms were already assigned, but only one was ready maybe in an hour feel free to have something to eat and come back. I organized this group so when I spoke with Suriel she told me the same thing and I told her 2 of couples may need access to wheel chairs at times due to health issues as long as the elevators worked. She informed me there were NO Elevators in our building, told her then that we would need bottom floor then for 2 couples and no higher than 2nd for other two. Even told her we would upgrade or move to only building that did have elevators. She said that was not possible but one of our rooms was on 1st floor and there was going to be another one coming available that she could get us in same building. Second room became available so that coupe was sent off, that room was on 3rd floor, 1st couples room was on 2nd floor. Suriel told me it she talked to house keeping and our final 2 rooms should be ready in 15 to 20 minuets, its now 3:30. I sat in Sun Club room whole time being patient watching the stack of reservations going down. I checked with Suriel in 15 minutes and she said yes one bottom floor was ready and as she started to finish she realized girl at next desk just sent a couple off to that room. Mind you that couple initially checked in behind us. As couples came back from getting something to eat and ask if room was ready they were given what was ready. No order or assignments obviously. Explained my concerns to Suriel who went to talk to manager because now only one bottom floor was available. As I sat and occasionally checked on final rooms. Stack kept going down as people came in to other girl. Finally at 5 and the last 2 reservations in stack our rooms were ready. Qne on 1st floor under other two, and ours on 3rd floor on other side of building!! We were told they would try to get us bottom floor by 5 next day. Note under our door after dinner confirmed this. Spoke with first two couple who said apparently pool was NOT adult only as quite a few children were using it. I voiced concern to VIP guest relations who told me yes it IS adults only and he would check into it. We like children but we like to be able to have adult time too. Waiting to see. Oh when we came back from dinner 3rd floor had NO Outside hall lights. Hadn’t feel our way to room and try key to see if worked. Called front desk and hour or so they were on.

Not impressed
I usually never really write reviews, bur this is a special case....I came to this hotel from August 29th to September 5th, right from the get go our experience was horrible, we arrived on my birthday, we told staff there to see if there was something we can do to celebrate, we got nothing, but many people had balloons and banners on their doors for anniversaries, birthdays etc. When we were getting ready for bed we were greeted by cockroaches. The whole week we had to sleep with a towel under the door because the roaches kept getting in. On the 31st my partner and I got engaged on the beach there, we again attempted to tell front desk to see yet again if there was a way to celebrate or if we can get a bottle of champagne... and again.... nothing... no help. Alot of the staff are miserable and could care less to speak to other people. There was only 2 people that I can say made me feel better there and that were the bar girls Beverly and Cornela. Would I go back there again? Absolutely not.

Terrible Resort Vacation.
We stay in Sunscape from August 27-September6, 2025. For my 25 years of vacation travel in resort, I met terrible resort. All a very bad service starting from the opening refregerator on our 2 day they did not put water inside of our fridge, did not feel airconditioner in our room, it was very hot, working terrible. We were in room 2211. Smell of towels terrible, we came with 2 people from our group of 6, for their Birthday Celebration. I came to receptionist in the Lobby and ask who can help me with some decoration and glass of wine, they direct me to a VIP people next door in the Lobby. I talk with Lady, explain situation and ask if it is possible to make something in our room, like Birthday banner and glasses of wine or something? She told me yes, and she put room # in computer. When we came after dinner it was nothing, this was disgusting. Management not working at all. I came twice, no result. In the buffet not enough glasses for juice, not enough cups for soup during the lunch. Quality of food much lower, than we are expected. No seafood at all in the buffet, just sample fish no shrimp, no salmon. long line for omlet section. We did not see in the morning any kind of cottage cheese at all. Very limited fruits and desert. Near the Oceana restaraunt, during our dinner we all saw rat, running around. From my opinion, this beautifull resort with perfect beach, crystal clear sea water beach should have a more professional and experience Management and staff. People in the bar not friendly at all.
