    Great Time

Were happy with resort, Yes rooms are a bit out dated, but clean and large enough. I due wish AC worked better, but acceptable. We were with a large family group, all had great time. Food was great. We all had great time. All my family plan to book another visit in 2026.

    Don’t come here

These people who have been here more than once-spoke to a few here and they’ve never been anywhere else. This place is junk. Servers are nice but everything in this place is understaffed and out gunned. Will NEVER return and in the future will really listen to the reviews. If you’ve been around, please, don’t come here. Especially when expecting a good family experience instead of bent out of shape parents like us.

Not worth the money 1 star

The rooms in a bad need of renovation. For the amount we paid was very disappointing. The best thing was the location of the room.

Worst Resort on Planet! Don't Waste your Time and/or Money!

My family of 12 and I stayed at Sunscape Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino in July 2025, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Despite the beautiful setting, this resort failed in almost every area that matters for a holiday. Positives • The property itself has lots of shade and greenery, with plenty of trees around the grounds. It provides natural cover from the heat and makes walking around comfortable during the day. Negatives • Staff attitude and hospitality: The staff consistently seemed unhappy, disengaged, and unwilling to be there. Instead of making us feel welcome, they behaved as if serving us was a burden, almost like they were doing us a favour. On more than one occasion, interactions turned confrontational and argumentative over trivial matters, which left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. • Service speed: Nothing happens quickly at this resort. Whether it was receiving bedding, ordering a drink, or simply asking for information, the response was painfully slow. It felt like guests had to chase staff for even the simplest requests. • Food and drinks: Drinks were watered down to the point that they tasted like flavoured water rather than cocktails. The food was no better—served in a careless, almost prison-style fashion, with no presentation or care in preparation. It seemed designed to fill you up rather than provide any kind of enjoyable dining experience. • Closing times and atmosphere: When it was time for a bar, restaurant, or sushi station to close, the staff made sure you knew they wanted you gone. Instead of winding down service gracefully, they would directly tell you they wanted to go home and practically push you out. • Overall environment: Rather than the warm and relaxed all-inclusive experience one expects, the general atmosphere was unwelcoming and uncomfortable. Staff members often carried themselves with hostility, making it clear that guests’ presence was tolerated, not appreciated. In a nutshell Don’t waste your time or money at Sunscape Curaçao. My family of 12 spent a small fortune here and left feeling ill-treated and unwelcome. If you’re considering an all-inclusive resort, there are far better options elsewhere. Greece, for example, has consistently been a much better experience for us—where hospitality is genuine, service is attentive, and guests are truly cared for. Sunscape Curaçao looks good on paper, but in reality, it completely fails to deliver on service, hospitality, and value. If you value being treated with respect and want to enjoy your holiday, look elsewhere.

Not worth the money, especially for the Sun Club

Overall I was not impressed with the resort. We stayed for our honeymoon in the junior honeymoon suite which is part of the ‘sun club’. Our room had a beautiful view, but it was not in great condition. There was mold on the lamp shades and the AC did not work well. The balcony doors were difficult to open and close, and there was an adjoining room with paper thin doors you could hear every conversation and cough coming from the next room. Our shower was missing one of its door so the bathroom partially flooded whenever you took a shower, and we didn’t have hot water one of the nights of our stay. As for the Sun Club ‘perks’, I was not very satisfied. The breakfast on the beach was very nice, and did meet my expectations. It was really nice to have breakfast at 7 am rather than having to wait until 8 am, and the food was very tasty. Unfortunately, that’s where the good part ends. Our in room mini bar was empty when we arrived and did not get stocked even though we requested it at 3 pm (they’re supposed to restock until 6 pm), and it only got restocked half the days we were there. They never checked our cards for going to the Sun Club bar, pools, or beach, and it was a real pain having to carry them with us, I would’ve rather worn a bracelet. When we needed to check out so we could head to the airport we waited for over 10 minutes because we were told we had to check out in the Sun Club Lounge, not at the regular desk and there was only one person in the office, and this is where they do everything so she kept having to leave to check on things for the couple she was helping. The Sun Club is supposed to be a VIP experience, but it definitely did not feel like we were a priority. We paid extra for the Romantic Private Dinner on the beach which was a complete waste of money. I know that the resort cannot control the weather but it rained the night we had booked it, I do not understand why there are not covers on the pergolas, but we were seated out on the beach anyways. When it started pouring again we were told to grab our plates and wine glasses and go to the main seafood restaurant. We were seated at a table in the center of the restaurant, not even a table in the corner or on the edge, so our private dinner became very very public. The waiter brought us our wet napkins from the table at the beach and didn’t replace them with dry ones. The salad was the only course that tasted better than the regular food in the restaurant. The lobster was overcooked and chewy, and the mashed potatoes were very clearly poorly prepared instant mashed potatoes. They were so gritty I couldn’t even finish them. I had better mashed potatoes at the grill the following night. Overall it felt like a huge rip off, and it definitely wasn’t worth the money, 10000% do not recommend. The beach at the resort was very nice. We enjoyed the house reef and had a great time snorkeling and scuba diving. I cannot recommend Ocean Encounters onsite enough. We had an excellent experience renting tanks and weighs from them, and using their dock to go scuba diving.
