  Worst experience at a resort ever. Staff rude and unattentive, rooms in poor shape, food was not good, app doesn't properly function, unable to make restaurant reservations and staff could care less and was unhelpful. Over an hour and a half check in process in heat. Entire resort completely short staffed.

  If you don't have to don't go !! Daniela at the bar/ restaurant is the best thing at this place .

  The only good thing about this place is Daniela at the bar/restaurant by the beach . She is exceptional!! Also the kadies that work at the coffee shop amazing . The rest of the resort questionable . You have to ask for them to clean your room and stock the fridge.

  Beautiful hotel with potential but serious management issues

  We stayed 2 weeks at this hotel with our toddler, and while there were some great aspects, the overall experience was disappointing. The first room we were given was unacceptable. Damp, sticky, mouldy ceiling leaking in the bathroom, no toiletries, dirty bedsheets, and an unbearable smell like a wet cave. The baby bed we pre-requested wasn’t ready, and I had to make it up myself. The room was outdated, noisy, and very uncomfortable. Thankfully, after our request, the staff did move us the next day. Our second room (in the Sun Club) was much better, but still had issues—old paint and silicone splashes everywhere, a constant leak in the bathroom, broken mirror, and the toilet never worked despite three repair attempts. We had to use public restrooms. The Sun Club access isn’t enforced at all—non-members use the private pool as well and it can feel cramped at times. Food in the buffet is descent, we didn't try the other restaurants. On the weekends, large and loud groups arrived. People were eating and leaving trash in the pool which was not cleaned daily. The water became yellow/green with algae and foam floating around. Light-colored swimsuits were stained (we had to throw ours away) and staff blamed sunscreen in the pool, but didn't do anything about it. By the time we left, the pool water looked very bad and blurry. Also, the rooms are not soundproof so if you have neighbours that like to party, good luck. Service is hit-or-miss. Staff seemed disengaged unless expecting a tip. We had to repeat requests multiple times each time as they don't really listen (we speak Spanish so that's not the issue). There’s no consistency in cleaning shared areas, in restaurant services or in pool maintenance. We didn't really like the daytime animations as we felt the team "cheerfulness" was very forced and unatural to the point it became annoying. We were hoping to experience more Dominican culture, but the hotel leaned heavily into American-style entertainment. The music situation was chaotic—songs were randomly switched mid-play, the same bachata songs looped daily, and eventually guests started blasting their own speakers around the pool, all playing different genres. The hotel and probably the whole area is not eco friendly at all. If you care about the animals and the environment I would recommend going somewhere else. We took one boat and snorkeling excursion that was offered by the hotel. The boat ride was nice but the actual snorkeling and swimming with shark thingy was bad- the coral is all dead, they dump a big box of bread in the sea to attract fish and the sharks are actually in prison in the middle of the sea... pretty horrible. That said, there are some real positives: My toddler had a fantastic time. Pools and beach are safe and ideal for little ones. He also loved the baby disco! I’d just suggest adding shade to the playground—it’s in full sun from early morning and too hot to use. Evening shows are excellent, with great variety and talented performers. We also enjoyed occasional singers coming around the pool—a lovely touch. The frappuccinos at the café are delicious, and the housekeeping team at the sun club was good throughout our stay. In summary: This hotel looks nice and has lots of potential, but poor management, lack of staff training and no attention to detail let it down.

  Best experience in Punta Cana so far

  Excellent experience. Very good service. Hotel crew very friendly and always willing to assist. Food was very good (specially compared to my experience last year in another hotel). Highly recommend this hotel.

  AMAZING ENTERTAINMENT !

  Our stay at Sunscape coco started a bit rough, than was out weighted by the fantastic entertainment team and other staff through the resort . Pros: -Beautiful grounds and sweet staff (Lucila- at windows buffet was wonderful and always helpful💞 -Great activities and entertainment team (Dj Chris, baby 9, Bonbon, chocolate , cafe, Coca Cola, golden boy, and the team coordinator (Wilson I believe his name was) all were over the top at making our vacation an amazing one ! 🥰 - Food at the reserved restaurants was excellent, while the food at the buffet was good but could’ve been better. Cons: -App for communication and bookings throughout the resort never worked. -Reception-Check in took 2 hours😳 - Room service, we always had to be calling because either replenishing soap, or towels was always forgotten. - Some people (some travellers and locals) were very dirty and inconsiderate on other vacationers and the staff. Nothing that can really be done there however all staff that were advised on any issues would do their best to resolve the problem or take care of a mess.. so another pro again on the staff🫶 Besides these hiccups and our experiences during our trip, I would truly recommend and we would love to return God willing in the near future . ☺️☺️
