  Very poor resort

  Second time in Punta Cana , we came as a family vacation and were not impressed, 1- food very poor in 10 days we saw fish 2 times Tuna only . 2-service slow 3-rooms not very clean hygiene poor 4- beach full of seaweed 5- beach and swimming pool chairs people use to put towels on top to reserve the seats , therefore no chairs after 7am . 6-information on arrival terrible very poor , it took us 2/3 days to figure out what was going on in the resort . 7-management it’s very poor all they do it’s walk around the resort talking to each other instead of talking to the guests . 8- The choice of wine that they offer in the resort it’s very very poor , I wouldn’t even use it for cooking wine , and they have one white one red only . 9-having to drink a cocktail 🍸in any bar with plastic cups it’s very poor . 10-I would not recommend this resort to anyone . A waist of money !!

  YOU CAN NOT SLEEP

  This hotel is a complete disaster. It was impossible to sleep because the fire alarm kept going off throughout the entire night. The noise was constant and extremely stressful, with no effective response from the staff to resolve the situation. An unacceptable experience that I would not recommend to anyone.

  Would Definitely Return

  We stayed at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana in December and had a wonderful time overall. I saw several reviews saying the resort isn’t enjoyable without an upgrade, but that was not our experience at all. We did not upgrade and still felt it was great value for the price we paid. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is the restaurant booking process. The app is a bit difficult to navigate, and it’s not very clear what steps you need to take. My advice is to download the Hyatt app in advance and enter your guest information as soon as you receive your reservation number. Restaurant bookings open at 9:00 a.m. the day before, and the app will then show which restaurants are open that night. I recommend logging in a few minutes before 9 because reservations fill up fast. That said, the restaurants that require reservations are really good and absolutely worth it. We especially loved Terra and the Blue Water Grill. The entertainment team was fantastic. Huge shout out to Pumba, Timon, and Cappuccino. They were energetic, engaging, and made the activities so much fun. We also really enjoyed the Spanish lessons offered every morning, which was a nice extra touch. The rooms weren’t jaw-dropping, but they were clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Housekeeping did a good job. The resort itself is a great size. Everything is within a reasonable walking distance, which we really appreciated. It has a good balance of features without feeling overwhelming or exhausting to get around. The beach was nice and relaxing. The buffet wasn’t spectacular, but we always found something good to eat, and the desserts were a highlight for us. Overall, this resort offered great value, a fun atmosphere, and a really enjoyable vacation.

  Amazing time at Sunscape Coco

  We spent a week at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana for New Year’s and had an amazing time. The room was nice and clean and had a good location near the beach. There was a good atmosphere with lots of entertainment and pools to swim in. We were in the Sunclub so the included room service was nice but the food at the buffet was also good. The best part of the trip though was the entertainment staff, they seriously made the trip. Special shoutout to Cappuccino for being so kind, fun, and energetic. He made the experience one of a kind and unforgettable.
