Made the best of it but would have loved not to have spent this much money

The good: The report is smaller so it’s easily walkable from one side to the other. -It’s directly on the beach, pretty nice. Lots of seaweed but this may be seasonal. Plenty of food options and later availability- 24 hour room service with a small basic menu if you upgrade to sunclub. -the renovated rooms are quite nice if you can snag one. -plenty of pools -lots of seating around pools and on the beach The bad: -This resort is noisy af. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, this may not be the spot for you. Unless you are tucked away in a middle buiing somewhere, it’s noisy. We upgraded to a beachfront renovated room and the evening entertainment was heard through the walls. Totally ok if you’re here for a party… we were not and weren’t aware it was this rowdy. -it’s overpriced for what it is. You will find better value elsewhere. Most rooms on the non-sunclub sides are not renovated. Very “lived in” super rough and dated. -sunclub family area rooms suck. Simple as that. -the lineups are insane here… for everything!! If you want to eat, be ready to wait or get there early. -a lot of local traffic in this resort on the weekend. -family area of sunclub is on a small local road that has continuous music and noise night and day. (We moved from this area but honestly the noise around our new room has been worse so far! If you don’t care about spending 5 to 6 grand for a “meh” resort, and a party, go for it! If you want high end and quiet, go elsewhere. We are regular Hyatt customers and have stayed in some of their best. Grand Hyatt downtown San Francisco was one of our faves. This is a disappointment.

    Great Vacation 🌄☀️🏝️🏖️

We just returned, my 19 year old daughter and myself. I will start at the start Check in - smooth! But - I had booked a double room, we got a king bed, but the room was great very spacious, clean and comfy (very basic, but hits the basics) so we didn't bother switching. Beach - beautiful, but yea some seaweed issues, got better as the week went on! Pools - nice, basic, a bit too busy for my preference Restaurants and booking them - Yes you have to get up at midnight and book your a la cartes for that day. Seems daunting but it wasn't that bad once I got help from concierge to set up my app. We loved both meals at chopsticks, loved Tiera, and the one on the beach was ok Quite enjoyed the Mexican and Italian buffets. Regular buffet was good for breakfast. We absolutely loved the pizza place on the beach, as well as the window at the flip flops bar. The cafes make amazing cappuccino- but always busy, always a line up even at 6 am I couldn't believe it! This may be my only complaint...lack of staffing, making the service just meh. Overall we had a wonderful week. It's not the best resort nor the worst I've been to! If you get a decent price - do it!

    Stay at SCPC

This is my 2nd review of the hotel. We stayed for 5 nights. C/IN process took almost 50 min with 1 person at Front Desk. Why? She had a speed of an old turtle. Room was lovely. We were in 15108. Kids club was fine. Water park was fine too. Everything seems to be ok...seems to be... well... main buffet... there are no words to describe the dining room. Every day they run out of: utensils, paper cups for coffee, plates, hot water for tea...etc... no mater at what time we went for breakfast or lunch or dinner buffet looks like half eaten... no one was replenishing empty platters and if you TRY to get any buffet staff to ask for something they ignore you. I'm sorry to say that but I felt as I was bothering them and interrupting their conversations with each other. They simply DO NOT care. Entertainment at night is nonexistent. 9:30PM!? Are you serious??? Not even 1 show with native music or native dances! Nothing! Why? RD has such a beautiful folk music and dances... such a shame. Lots of alga's on the beach - must be the season for it. Music was blasting for Sunday and Monday night from locals next door. ALL NIGHT LOMG. I thing they had speakers mounted up high to annoy hotel guests. Wednesday night they were blasting music as well and on top of it they were burning trash. No comments...

    Wonderful vacation in Punta Cana!

We had a wonderful week at this resort. We were initially in building 15, which didn’t work for us so we upgraded to Adults only, and it was definitely worth it. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this resort!! They are all wonderful and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Our private concierge Jorge Luis was very helpful by making our dinner reservations for us, and always ensuring we had everything we needed. He definitely made our stay even more wonderful and we are very appreciative of him. The Kaleidoscope buffet was our favourite with plentiful and delicious options. As for the a la carte, we absolutely loved the Teppanyaki and Terrier. Overall this is a beautiful, well kept resort. I would definitely recommend.

    We had a fantastic holiday

Kaleidoscope restaurant was excellent. Carlos, Yeico and Jennifer all great attentive service 5 star all the way. There was always a variety of fresh food for breakfast lunch or dinner. The food at Flip Flops beach bar was also good although simple.
