  Relaxing and restful vacation

  I went to Sunscape Coco with my family on Christmas week. The atmosphere was relaxing and calming. The room had a fantastic view, right in front of one of the pools. This one was super cool: with a little isle in the middle where it was possible to walk around, lay on the surrounding glass, close to the beach and the other pool, close to the restaurant. It was clean and the room service for some little fixes was fast. The noise level was fine, I could sleep peacefully at night. The food at the international buffet, the Kaleidoscope, was of great quality. Every day I enjoyed different dishes, with a lot of vegetables and fruit. The staff members were welcoming and helpful. Especially Grismar, the lady at the check-in at the Sun Club building: she was compassionate, patient, proactive, understanding and resourceful! Also, I liked the enthusiasm of the entertainment team, in particular from two guys: "Pumbaa" and "Chocolate".

  I'm doing this at the end of and behest of a survey. I wasn't prepared to compose a detailed review on the fly. Suffice to say, it's 4/5 for me. Meals leave something to be desired, if you've cruised, you'll likely be disappointed. Specialty restaurants were generally poor (over/under cooked food). English is a fairly major problem. If your spanish isn't up to snuff, practice before going. Staff excellent, friendly, attentive, helpful, efficient. Venue very nice, clean pools/rooms/ammenities, nice beach, bars/drinks plentiful. Food abundant, if not impressive. Labels are an issue. I still don't know what kind of lettuce "Laughing Lettuce" is. We are not *resort* people and this trip was an aberration. If you're a resort type, ignore all the above, you'll probably love it.

  Ne pas y aller

  Épouvantables. À fuir. Sérieusement. Service exécrable du début à la fin. Personnel désorganisé, lent, parfois carrément bête. On a l’impression de déranger chaque fois qu’on demande quelque chose de normal. Zéro sens du service client. Parlons maintenant du vol déguisé : dépôts opaques, frais qui apparaissent comme par magie, aucune explication claire, et quand tu poses des questions… on te regarde comme si c’était toi le problème. Des pratiques douteuses dignes d’arnaqueurs professionnels. Chambres mal entretenues, promesses non respectées, réservations qui “disparaissent”, aucune responsabilité assumée. Tout est beau sur les photos, mais sur place c’est du bricolage cheap et de la poudre aux yeux. Bref : incompétence + malhonnêteté = expérience désastreuse. Il y a des dizaines d’hôtels à Punta Cana qui respectent leurs clients. Celui-ci n’en fait clairement pas partie. À éviter comme la peste. 🧨

  Best in the business.

  Nicolas at Sharkys Pool Bar is excellent! Strongly recommend it, very courteous has a sense of humour, easy vibes. Will be going again and again, best mojitos in the resort.

  The absolute WORST!

  I have traveled to 45+ countries and stayed in 20+ All Inclusive Resorts and this is the worst resort I have ever stayed at, ever. The food is so bad that my husband vomited and was bed ridden for 2 days, the service is the worst I’ve ever experienced - nobody smiles, even the entertainment team looks like they are being tortured, it takes 30 minutes to get water to the point where everyone brings their own drinks from the mini fridge because we all know we will not get a drink, the food is bland and disgusting, the app does not work, there are not any activities to do, the beach is filled with seaweed so you cannot go in, the beach is also filled with nonstop vendors harassing you to buy things to the point where my son asked to go back to the hotel room for some peace and quiet, our keys stopped working and the person at the front desk threw the keys back at me - do yourself a favor and pick another resort. My family is counting down the minutes until we leave. This is the worst experience of our lives.
