Went in with LOW expectations
5 stars overall - The resort itself is no where near a 5 stars - perhaps between 3-4. But all things considered - it is 5 stars in my heart. Allow me to share my own experience. May I add that I also went with low expectations because I had just returned from staying at Finest Playa Mujeres last month with my husband and toddler. We traveled with my mom and my brother’s family. Altogether 5 adults, 1 newborn, and 2 toddlers. Check-in - It was a little chaotic as expected from reviews. I purposely emailed and made earlier arrangements with them via instagram to ask for our 3 rooms to be adjacent to one another and was told yes, no problem. It was news to the person checking us in and my mom had a room upstairs of us while my brothers was in another building. If you can’t accommodate next time, please just tell your guest no. Food - The food quality is much higher compared to a lot of mid tier all inclusive resorts and was much better than my expectation. For example, the octopus at Sunset Grill was very tender. The ribeye from Casa de Rosa was delicious and cooked perfectly. The lunch buffets offer much less than other resorts I’ve ever been to but whatever was offered was delicious and great in quality. I appreciate the daily soup options, fresh hibachi grill of your choice, smoked salmon in the cold bar, and many hot sauces to choose from. I especially appreciate that because I love hot sauces & it truly made each meal more enjoyable for me! For my spicy lover, try the green garlicky jalapeño sauce that’s at the corner next to the hibachi! Beach - Was expecting lots of seaweed and to our surprise, the beach was pretty clear and was Tiffany blue. This really caught me off guard. Even saw lots of small fishies swimming near shore. You can go out pretty far. Pool - Small and compact. However, PERFECT with a toddler/kid. One end of the pool has a higher surface for toddlers to stand on. Literally a great spot for the parents to let their toddler walk on while next to them. If we weren’t at the beach, this is where you’ll find us. **Like many reviews stated, there is NOT enough shaded areas. It really doesn’t hurt to have more shaded areas if you’re going for a family resort and don’t want babies/kids to burn. Room - we booked the most basic room. Room is definitely showing clear signs of aging and needing lots of TLC but the bed was soooo comfortable to sleep in. AC was strong. Bathroom is tiny, zero ventilation, gets hot and steamy, and had strong smell of mold. I appreciate the front providing slippers upon request. Room was spacious and clean. Entertainment - I can sense the effort in night time shows but it’s not all there. Can get boring with nothing left to do once the show is over which is typically 40 minutes. Not enough seats for guests to enjoy the one show/entertainment they have at the property. I had the most fun on karaoke night. Energy from staff during day time can improve. RANDOM: The resort is very stroller/handicap accessible friendly. It’s mosquito free. Got bit 15 times at Finest last month. So I do very much appreciate being bite-free this trip. Always food available from pool to lobby to room service ( for extra cost ) Many thanks to Chef Limber. He went above and beyond to make my husband and Is wedding anniversary memorable when we dined at the balcony at the Italian restaurant. We appreciate his kindness and hospitality to us and totally made our experience much more memorable. Thank you Chef! Many thanks to the bellboys with taking our belongings to our room quickly and picking it up prior to us checking-out.

Amazing Experience 🤩🤩🤩
The staff at ventanas are so nice and welcoming everyone has a great time thanks to the amazing food and service. We made lots of friends at ventanas, including Roberto, Antonio, Jose, Carmen and many more. Their English was very good at all the restaurants so it was easy for any English-speakers to feel right at home.
