    The beach can’t be beat!

    I would rate this a 3.5 but there’s no option for that. The best thing about this resort is, by far, the ocean and beach. Is is GORGEOUS! I could stare at the water all day. Resort is good. Room was spacious with a big bed and lots of pillows. The cleaning staff did an excellent job and our room was cleaned early every day! The grounds are well maintained. The swim up pool bar is great but there’s only one bartender and even though he is outstanding considering the amount of drinks he makes, they could afford to have 2 bartenders There is a huge pool for families with water slides yet the kids are also allowed in the swim up bar pool which is pretty small to begin with. Why not restrict kids to the big pool? Really the only disappointment was the food. Breakfast was usually cold or lukewarm at best. We didn’t even eat lunch at all after looking at the options. Dinner was ok. Average at best. The Italian restaurant was best. We would return to this resort. Beautiful island!

    5 star trip

    This was my first time in St.Maarten and let me just say wow. I had an amazing time at Sonesta. Upon checking in you are given champagne and a cold towel. The bell man Omarian was very polite and took our bags upstairs. The drinks by the poolside bar Mickel made were delicious. The buffet was phenomenal with a vast variety of selections. And the pizza OMG! I would definitely be returning and bringing more family and friends to enjoy sonesta and st.Maarten.

    Beautiful resort, wonderful experience

    Sonsesta Resort on Maho Beach Sint Maarten was wonderful. The resort and rooms were great. The staff were friendly and attentive with the right amount of activities to keep you entertained. The food on the resort was a 7/10 but the local restaurants were absolutely delicious .

    Great vacation amazing views

    The resort was well kept. We were able to enjoy our pool side experience and had amazing service from Kemarie from food and beverage. He always had a smile on his face and went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. The maid service was great.

    Not relaxing, very average.

    Unfortunately, my room door was broken. There was no water available in my room, and the air conditioning was very weak and could not keep the room comfortable. The whole hotel was crowded and most areas were noisy. The restaurants never opened on time and long lines. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were nice. The elevators were down as well for many hours. We had to walk up to the 9th floor.
