The Luxury stay I didn't know that I needed
I visited Los Cabos over Spring Break ( Late March to Early April). We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite on the first level at Solaz for 5 days. My stay was incomparable to anything I have ever experienced. We had arranged activities with our concierge prior to arrival, which worked out well. We went Snorkeling in La Paz, Boat Fishing, Mountain Biking and Zip Lining. All were fun. My bestie and I prepared tamales with a chef in a Master Chef Class. They were so wonderful and patient. It was great to learn from a chef and use authentic ingredients ( squash blossoms, green chile, etc). The zip lining was very hot at Wild Canyons and be prepared to hike, bring water and money for tipping. I cannot remark enough about the hotel staff , from the hotel lobby to the restaurants to the servers by the pool, the groundskeepers, maintenance staff, the staff at the market and the restaurants, the bartenders, spa staff and house keeping crew. Everyone was so very cheerful and happy to help us in any way. It was very nice to have people saying 'Buenos Dias' or Good Morning to us and a smile on their face. ( I am not naive, this is their job. ) We dined on the hotel premises on most nights, but went to San Jose del Cabo one night for dinner. The restaurants are top notch with wonderful atmosphere. Al Pairo- absolutely fantastic experience. Wonderfully prepared Mexican food. Knowledgable staff, sommelier was helpful ( Mexican wines were out of this world). I would highly recommend. Mako- wonderful seafood by the ocean. Knowledgable and helpful server and sommelier. Memorable dinner that night. Riccio Di Mare- fare meal, very rich. Wine was delicious. Pool side dining with sea air was relaxing. Sushi restaurant on our last night, was delicious but very expensive for what we ate. We have great sushi where we live in San Diego, so I might have chosen somewhere different instead. The pools and jacuzzis were peaceful and easily accessible. The pool staff were very attentive and helped you find a place for your family/ party. They set up your chair with towels and moved umbrellas as requested. They were cheerful, courteous and professional. We spent time at each of the pool areas and all staff were extremely professional and attentive. The swimmable beach in front of the resort was gorgeous. We walked for exercise early in the morning and admired the beautiful coastline each day. We did not use room service, but our housekeeping crew was impeccable. The room was clean and stocked with coffee, water and chocolates for turn down service. The chocolates are made on site and are so delicious. A sweet treat. My expectations were surpassed in all aspects. This was a very wonderful, relaxing and beautiful resort. I highly recommend visiting this location if you can. It is worth your time and money.

Wonderful Experience from start to finish
From the moment you drive through the gate, the whole Solar experience is 5 stars. From the hard working bell men to the check in process to the view you get from the lobby, everything is first class. The room is spacious and modern, but feels timeless and long lasting at the same time. Cabo has many luxury options, but I can’t imagine any being much better than Solaz.

Luxurious property that includes jaw-dropping views and exceptional service
Beautiful property with over the top service. Best ocean views to watch the whales from your room in a hammock on the balcony! The pools were excellent. Everywhere we went on the property, someone was there to help make our experience exceptional. Several great food options on property as well. Solaz gave us the relaxing trip we needed.

Solo Travel at Solaz was a complete joy.
I absolutely loved my stay at Solaz. This was my first ever solo trip and i felt very well looked after Rafael was very attentive and is very welcoming. Has great attention to detail and great foresight when it comes to planning. Much more service than i expected but very much needed. I also enjoyed my photographer with beam photography. He provided me with a photoshoot of a lifetime. I was very pleased with the amount of shots we were able to accomplish and the number of different settings that made me feel confident that i was going to be able to have plenty of photos to choose from. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed to enjoy being myself and enjoying my time rather than focusing on being perfectly posed. I absolutely enjoy my stay and will definitely return again in the near future. Thanks to all at Solaz for an enjoyable stay. Until next time. ❤️

Tranquil escape
I agree with another reviewer. This location really was perfect. It was beautiful and the open space of the resort was breathtaking. The architectural design was interesting as well. The timeshare unnecessarily created a rough start making you feel roped into something you didn’t want to hear. I think the resort really should be more up front with guests to see if you’re interested instead of wasting time. Raúl and Raphael took care of us during our stay and they were exceptional. They were friendly, courteous and helpful booking reservations and very attentive to our family’s needs. We really appreciated their services. The dining however was super disappointing. It was extremely overpriced and most things were underwhelming. The tempura, tortilla chips and pancakes could definitely use some improvement. Traditional veggies were not used for the tempura and without proper description, we were disappointed by the dish. I’m not sure what the deal is with the tortilla chips, but it was too thick and stale tasting throughout the resort. Strangely, we did not enjoy most of the Mexican dishes offered at the resort, which was surprising. With the resort having an air of exclusivity, you would think the local cuisine would reflect perfection. In contrast, the Italian restaurant was the best for dining as well as the room service for breakfast. We could not understand why the restaurant for breakfast was subpar and expensive with long wait times, but the room service was so much better and reasonable in prices. Had we known, we would have ordered room service every morning. We were a little weirded out that on our third day we found a dead bee on the floor of one of the bedrooms of our ocean view two bedroom suite. Our son is highly allergic to bees, so we carry an epi pen for him. This dead bee was discovered after we had housekeeping done. I had to have my husband clean it up. The housekeeper also left what looked like an empty juice bottle in the kitchen. I’m sure it was just an oversight in her part and perhaps she was thirsty while working. Still, it seemed odd. Also, for night service, the first and last nights we received chocolate truffles. I’m not sure if it’s every other night they offer this complimentary or if we got missed one night. Not a deal breaker, but more baffling if anything. Overall, our family had a nice stay. However, we were a little irked by guests taking our chairs at the pool and being extremely rude about it despite us tipping for towel service and our personal belongings there. We encountered this a few times by some pretty entitled guests. Something to be aware of.
