The good: the food was superb at this resort. Our favorites were the Asian and Cleo. The press coffee shop is wonderful and the baristas are lovely. The coffee is amazing at this resort. Really good. Tonalli at the Bungalow, wow! What a great waiter. He's very attentive, funny, and personable. Really a special person. He made our dining experience at the Bungalow a great one every time. The gym facility and the programs are top notch. Loved Alex's classes, what a great personality she has. Now, the not so good: the sleeping area in the room is tight. With the pull out couch extended, you aren't able to walk around the bed. The pull out is uncomfortable and uneven. So it's doesn't make for good sleep. The pool isn't heated and when the weather isn't cooperating, it can keep you out. The hot tub isn't a hot tub. Don't go to the beach BBQ it's not worth it. The food was terrible. It was breaded chicken wings that weren't BBQ'd, hamburgers that were raw and hot dogs. The resort also caters to a specific group people. At the time we were there, the majority of the resort were of this group. We were not avle to attend certain areas or a certain restaurant because it was reserved for them. The nightly entertainment was geared to their community. I'm sorry but I don't want to hear a comedian talking about politics and war on vacation to a large group of people who are laughing about war and war criminals. Shameful. The Barracuda was a nightmare because they were dominating the area. I wouldn't go back to the SLS resort for that reason alone. It was like being out of place where everyone knows everyone but you.

There seems to be organized crime in this hotel. Our party booked multiple rooms and all the rooms had money stolen from the safes. Managers did nothing. Pools are freezing. Food had mold on it. Rooms are tiny, pull out sofa very uncomfortable. Bell boy almost lost our belongings. Completely Disorganized. Barracudas in the beach, not safe for kids

Must Read - take your kids to a better resort. Not family friendly. Theft from our safes. Unheated pools.
SLS Cancun was a major luxury letdown: theft from room safes, poor management response, freezing cold pools, terrible dining access, allergen issues with kids, and overall bad service—especially disappointing for families and not worth the price
