The Rosewood Baha Mar was incredible. The food, accommodations, and especially the service were top notch. Ricarra and Lee, our “butlers,” were fabulous. They made sure everything was taken care of and all we had to do was relax and enjoy.
This was our first time to The Bahamas! We vacation a lot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, so thought we would try somewhere new. We have also been to Jamaica and Turks & Caicos ...... We loved loved loved Rosewood Baha Mar! The beach was so gorgeous and the staff were wonderful. Thank you to Stephanique, Chalis, Chris, Ashlan, Laveto, Jason & Miguel at Costa restaurant on site. We can hardly wait to see you again as you made our stay more welcoming and lovely! Tristan, Michael and DJ at the pool and beach, thank you as well, you are awesome! And thank you to the resort manager, Monica! All y’all are good people, now friends!!!! Oh, and Troy in room service, you are a sharp dresser and a gentleman! This is an upscale resort for those who know that spending a little more really pays off. The Baha Mar has 3 hotels within its limits and Rosewood is the quieter one with that luxury appeal! I could not believe how many lifeguards they had. Safety, cleanliness, and comfort are hallmarks of this beautiful resort. Order room service breakfast, it was fantastic! Dine at Costa for lobster tacos! Order the lobster roll at the pool or beach! Go to The Current art gallery on site! And shop at the lovely shops on site! Go to the fish fry in town! And, definitely do a beach day and swim in the ocean lots! My husband golfed at the Royal Blue golf club across the street and he loved it. I would have a nice quiet solo lunch at Costa and chat with Stephanique and Chalis! Love you ladies! A big big big thanks to Tristan who went above and beyond to get me a grilled conch entre! After going into town to experience the fish fry, I asked Tristan where I could find fresh grilled conch (rather than fried). Oh my goodness! He said no worries, and left for awhile, and he and Micheal brought me the BEST conch ever! Tristan instructed the chef at the beach restaurant to do it in the foil with peppers, plantains, etc! And WOW! One of my top meals of all time!!!!!! Tristan you are cool ! We will go back for sure to stay at Rosewood ..... I would suggest even a 4 night trip if you don’t have a lot of vacation days. Beautiful Resort with 'eh' Service
The Rosewood Baha Mar is a gorgeous resort with a beautiful backdrop of the Bahamas Beach. We are a family of four with two children (8 and 4) We were greeted by a warm gentleman at theThe welcome lounge at the airport. Upon arriving at the property, Ash “the pirate” from the explorers kids club welcomed our children with goodies and a scavenger hunt. They were super excited to check out the property and kids club. The front desk manager, Eugeneal went above and beyond to get us an upgraded room and make sure we were situated comfortably. The rest of the front desk staff seemed morose, at best and while they technically accomplished their tasks, there was no excitement or warmth as one would expect at this level of property. We weren’t offered a tour, map or any other introduction to the resort. We were sent to two different restaurants, on property, to grab a bite while our rooms were being cleaned, both of which were closed. We expected the staff to know the timings of their restaurants. The service at baha mar as a whole was slower than what we are accustomed to but once we adjusted our expectations we were pleased with the service. The kids club was great! Both our kids loved it and it was a welcome break from the intense sun during the day. The manager of explorers was very warm and our children got excited to see any of the kids club employees around the resort during the day. We had a very rude encounter at 25 North where security created a scene and essentially removed us (along with our children) because we brought a bottle of champagne. At the other properties in baha mar, we were simply charged a $50 corkage fee which is what we expected at 25 north, as well. The way we were spoken to there was beyond rude and embarrassing. We traveled with another family and as a result needed reservations for 7 people nightly. We ended up with later reservations (830-930pm) because we didn’t realize the restaurants would be so busy. Melam, Filio, Carna, katsuya and Costa had fabulous food with good service. Shuang ba had great service but the meal was mediocre. Expect to pay an arm and a leg for everything! A glass of veuve was $42 before service and vat taxes! Dinners were overpriced but seemed to be the theme for the larger baha mar property. Swimming pig was the hidden jewel For families with young kids. They had kid friendly food at very reasonable prices. Kevin was the best server we had over the entire week! Michael, at the pool was attentive to our needs and hustled. Wish we had met him earlier during our stay! All in all we had a lovely vacation with great friends and while we still love the rosewood brand I don’t think we will revisit this particular property.
Is there a more beautiful place on Earth?
This place is so stunning. I wish I could live there for half of the year. The service, incredible. The ambience, unbelievable. Will definitely come back in the very near future. I was also here for New Years and personally, I don’t think there is a more fun place to be in than the Bahamas.
Another Amazing Rosewood Experience!
Our third Rosewood stay, different from the others (San Miguel de Allende and Maykoba). Quaint island experience no...but beautiful large hotel experience, yes! Connected to the much larger Baha Mar casino and hotel complex with all of those restaurants and amenities, but private and separated from that impressive facility. Ocean view room was not huge, but very well designed and appointed. Quiet, comfortable and plush. Amazing, personal service! Pool stewards and bar service were consistently amazing. Pools and grounds plush and exotic. Restaurants and bar service top shelf. Staff was personable, elegant and attentive with out being overbearing. Only disappointment was the surprisingly small and limited wine list. And some of the few listed were not in stock. Purchased bottles of wine outside and brought them in. But hopefully and likely, Rosewood will correct this very soon. Great experience, thank you Rosewood!
