    Cabarete is a resort town on the Dominican Republic's northern coast. Cabarete Bay is protected by a coral reef. The calm waters, combined with breezy conditions on beaches like Cabarete and Kite, make it a center for water sports.

    It's known for Sosua Beach, in a sheltered cove with an offshore coral reef, tropical fish and colorful plants. The beach separates the neighborhoods of El Batey, the main hub, and laid-back Los Charamicos, known for its nightlife.

    A Family Favourite in Puerto Plata

    A great time for all 8 guests from ages 17 to 70! A very nice resort with many updates and more to come. Staff is wonderful! Larimar buffet was great, a la carte Zao Teppanyaki was good, a la carte Embers steak house was fantastic. The 24 hour Legends sports bar was a hit - food and drinks, not to mention the big screen tvs. I specifically liked the mini street with the pizza place, ice cream shop, coffee shop and souvenirs. The night life was a little lacking as the disco was very quiet, partly because drinks were not included. Also, with the theatre being outdoors it was weather dependent which wasn't always cooperating. However, silent disco and beach party were a lot of fun! We will be back!
