    Cabarete is a resort town on the Dominican Republic's northern coast. Cabarete Bay is protected by a coral reef. The calm waters, combined with breezy conditions on beaches like Cabarete and Kite, make it a center for water sports.

    It's known for Sosua Beach, in a sheltered cove with an offshore coral reef, tropical fish and colorful plants. The beach separates the neighborhoods of El Batey, the main hub, and laid-back Los Charamicos, known for its nightlife.
  • Puerto Plata
    The city is best known for its beaches. Playa Dorada's lengthy beachfront is backed by resorts and an 18-hole golf course.

    Nice and friendly resort

    Food was good, Japanese restaurant was good but not to our expectations compared to other places we went, need to eat fast as we only had an 1 hour to eat and had to leave for other guests we coming in, cook did not make a show, we were disappointed, as for the breakfast buffet it was excellent and servers were always there with a smile and happy and ready to serve your coffee, beach was clean and always had chairs available,

    Great entertainment team, very welcoming and funny. Had a great time, lots of dancing and games The Shorty was amazing she is super friendly.

    Misleading “Complimentary” Transfer & No Effort to Resolve

    We booked two luxury rooms directly with Senator Hotels & Resorts Puerto Plata specifically because the website advertised a complimentary VIP airport transfer as an included benefit. At no point during the booking process or confirmation was it disclosed that the transfer required arrival on a same-day flight tied to check-in. When we reached out to coordinate pickup, Guest Services initially confirmed the transfer was included. Later, Reservations stated it would only be honored if we arrived on a flight the same day — a restriction never previously disclosed. We were then directed to their transportation partner, who requested $100 for the transfer that had been advertised as complimentary. Despite booking two luxury rooms directly, there was no effort to offer a reasonable solution, modify the arrangement, or take accountability for the lack of transparency. Due to the inconsistent information and undisclosed conditions, we cancelled our reservation. If a benefit has material restrictions, those restrictions should be clearly stated upfront. Transparency matters.

    If you needed a reason to book this is it!

    Coffe, Skinny, and Monkey are the best at their jobs! They make sure to include everyone during dances and other activities to ensure a great experience! Senators rooms were very clean with fast and reliable WiFi. The beach and various pools are beautiful along with the overall vibe of the resort. The staff are committed to making sure you have the best time in Puerto Plata! I will definitely be back soon!

    Check-in Policy - Hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds. 


    Convention Policy - Individuals attending a convention cannot book this property for their stay. If found attending a convention, guests may be subject to higher room rates upon arrival. 

    Hotel Spring Break Policy - This hotel cannot guarantee a spring-break-free environment.

    Transfer Policy - A price may display when children stay free, if your vacation includes transfer to your hotel.
