    Secrets Wild Orchids

    Beware !!! I was scheduled to go to secrets wild orchids and had to cancel. Unlimited Vacation club has refused credit me card with the refund of $2700 I paid . I have filed a complaint with Chase Visa. They have also refused to issue my refund for the Secrets Cabos trip. which was scheduled for May 15. Please help

    4th Visit

    This was our 4th visit to Secrets Wild Orchid and it has yet to disappoint. I had won the Secrets Got Talent on our trip back in November, so we cashed in our free nights and came back before heading to another resort, which we already had booked out. It is always good to feel like we are coming home again, and to be recognized by some of the outstanding staff. Hopeton and Jamal are always happy to see us, and we make sure to stop by every day when we are out walking around to chat with them. Plus, Kedisha over at the Barracuda bar knows what we want to drink before we even order it. The Wild Orchid really does feel like a second home to us. Being return guests, we are always given Black Cards that get us Preferred-Access so we are able to enjoy all areas of the resort. Yes they have some minor deficiencies, but every single resort that you will ever go to has their things too. My major letdown has been the removal of the soft-serve ice cream machine next to the Aroma Cafe' . If I could make one request, it would be for it to return. We ended up staying in an Oceanview Room this time, and not our normal Oceanview room, which just meant we faced the Preferred building and the World cafe, which was no huge deal to us. But, we certainly prefer our normal room that overlooks the main pool area. We are already scheduled to return in November again to visit our 2nd home and see our extended family.

    Vacation

    We received excellent services by Tajai, Shellie, and Mathew. We received a nice room and good service. The city is safe and close for me to walk. The boat ride was nice through secrets. The jamaican food was good but maybe the others may been lacking somewhat. The breakfast was near the end best they had.

    Like a Ramada Inn

    Went here for New Years 2020, first time at an all-inclusive. I am used to high end hotels—this is not one. Pool service is very hard to get, food is like the Red Lobster. Worst wine I’ve ever had. Spa was actually quite lovely. Rooms are ok. If you’re a Wynn/Encore traveler in Las Vegas, this is more of an MGM experience.

    Below average service

    I am a UVC member and experienced my first below average service at the Secrets brand resorts. There was a lot of confusion on the Love package I bought prior to what the resort was providing for our anniversary. They did resolve many issues but it was after I had to complain about something not correct. We were assigned a VIP concierge but unfortunately we never met or she was gone for the day. I hope other members do not experience that because many of our issues probably would have been resolved so that we could enjoy my anniversary with my wife. Also....a tip for management which was never around.....you should always be available at the resort. A lot of your employees in the concierge and front desk seemed very unexperienced with hospitality and customer service. I would invest in more training since many are coming from high school. But I do want to give KUDOS to the bell boys/men, they consistently provided great customer service and most of the time went out of there way.
