Jun 11, 2025Started with great promise and ended in disappointment
Great bartenders and service staff. Food was excellent. But the check-in/out staff left a lot to be desired. We missed out on many amenities that came with our honeymoon due to miscommunication and they did very little to try to make it right before we left. Seriously considering not rebooking. This was supposed to be our dream vacation, and the best experience of our lives, but we both left with bad tastes in our mouths. We had hoped they would try to make things right, but all they did was give us the phone number of a manager and said we would have to call them. They didn't even offer to have a manager talk to us while we were there. That is not what we call good service.

We met Mrs. Cassandra Johnson-Wint a couple of years ago at Secrets Montego Bay, Jamaica, and she instantly felt like family! For our recent wedding anniversary trip, we booked again—and Cassandra did not disappoint. Every single day, we were greeted with thoughtful gifts and surprises in our room. She even decorated our door! Her attention to detail and genuine care made our celebration unforgettable. Cassandra is truly a top-tier concierge—absolutely the tip of the spear!

The hotel is no longer top quality when it comes to food, service, and staff. I came here in 2018 before they sold the hotel and the experience was much better. Now I would not come back here. Please be aware of the discount for the Spa. They told me they were charging me the discount because of the vouchers we had but when we got home we found out that they charged us full price instead of the stated discount price on the voucher! They will also hound you to join there hotel program which made our vacation very stressful. Beware!

Disappointment
Wild Orchid: I wanted to start off by saying that I waited a year for this vacation just to be disappointed the moment we walked into the resort. I am so use to friendly -welcoming greetings - beverage or a towel would have been nice. We were checked in and was told we would receive an email notification when room was ready. (I still have not received any email notification). After 3 1/2 hours I went to the desk and my room key was available without notification of any kind. My luggage on the other hand took my husband going to the lobby at 6:30p (it's been 71/2 hours now since we arrived). I have been to this resort before nearly 7 years ago and had a wonderful time- This vacation there were no friendly faces- not even a hello or good morning from staff. I know the group I went with to celebrate my birthday was disappointed as well - They informed staff of their unhappiness and was told there was a management change recently. Wild Orchid Pool Service did not exist. We received no pool service but did notice the Cabana rental did have someone getting their drinks. St James Pool Service was amazing- We had someone coming up to us all the time asking to get us a drink. I will say the money that was spent for this trip I would have rather gone somewhere else. The only thing that made my trip worthwhile was being with my Friends the entire week. I usually do not write these reviews, but I was just so Disappointed.

Vacation!!!!
Went to secrets wild orchid and it was amazing from the food to the drinks to the entertainment it was all fantastic.. Entertainment in the day and night are really fun I loved Jamaican night which they called street vibes or something like that there I met the lady Kenzie from entertainment and she was soo professional she gave us a mini tour of the resort it was our first night Kenzie you are amazing I’m glad we’ve met you and we can’t wait to see you again
