    Dragons Restaurant (Secrets of the Vine Cancun) Amazing service!

    What an amazing experience at every meal. The manager Tthiel made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the whole time during dinner. He came around frequently to check on each table. Chef Francisco prepared amazing meals every time. We were never disappointed! Elias and Alejandro are the best waiters we've ever had. They tended to our every need and made sure we had an excellent dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

    Dragons - Secrets of the Vine

    We had the most fantastic meals at the dragon restaurant. We came to secrets of the vine on our honeymoon. Alejandro was our main waiter. He and his assistant Elias were on top of everything. They were funny and made sure we were well taken care of. The chef Francisco cooked the most amazing meals for us. He is very creative and our food was cook to perfection. The manager Tthiel was very nice and made a point to come to our table during our meal which was very appreciated. The whole team was great and I would highly recommend eating here.

    30% of resort for 100% of the price!

    I am placing this review on July of 2020 shortly after the resorts in Cancun opened following a period of closure due to Covid 19 so matters may be different if you are reading this years later. We are big fans of Cancun and come frequently. Yet this was one of our few disappointments. See the negatives and positives but overall, I would say that this resort is closer to a 3 star hotel so come with correct expectation ( we had expected 5 star hotel as advertised by Expedia). Positives: Staff are polite and are genuinely interested in helping. The place has done a great job with sanitation and overall feels safe from pandemic standpoint. Negatives: Of the 7 restaurants only 2 are open, gym is closed, vanities in the room are very minimal. Room services has limited hours and menu. Some of the food times don't taste fresh. Overall, the place is offering at most 30% of what it normally would, except at 100% the cost. We had communicated with the hotel staff prior to arrival from the US and we had been told that all amenities were available. The closure are in part due to mandates and in part due to low volume at the resort. The only blame to the hotel is that they may not be honest about the extent what's open before you arrive and their unwillingness to discount the rate to the service they provide. Basically, your vacation will end up in getting up in the morning, going to the only pool open, eating at one place open for lunch, and then go to one of two places open for dinner. We started doing exercises using our phone on the side of the pool. The spa interestingly is open and you can get a massage for 200 dollars for 50 min with a gloved masseuse.

    Have not refunded me for my cancelled trip during COVID

    I booked a trip for April 24. I cancelled it March 20, due to COVID. I was told I would see a refund within 10 days. Once I inquired about not seeing it, they said it would be UP to 90 days before they could issue the refund. It is now June 30, and they have not refunded my money back. I have emailed, called, and messaged on Social media. They have stolen my money!!

    Didn't care for the staff

    The hotel is beautiful, mostly quiet and very clean. I am giving two starts based on the staff. The staff was disingenuous, they talked & criticized some of the guest while smiling at them or behind their backs. They didn't know I spoke Spanish. Twice during breakfast and Lunch while waiting for our turn to sit I heard the hostess and another staff member talking about some of the guests as they came back from walking them to their table. In another occasion they laughed as they walked behind the guest commenting on their appearance. Of course, this will not be the same experience for everyone, but being that I have been to a lot of resorts, this one didn’t feel welcoming and was really missing that vacation vibe you get when you are at a resort. I just can’t recommend.
