Another great vacation at the Secrets resort
Another great vacation at the Secrets resort. This is a beautiful property with an elegantly designed hotel. The atmosphere puts you in a relaxed vacation mode right away. Great food and service, the staff is friendly and attentive. The minor negative aspects: Luck of privacy on balconies, as those are separated by decorative see through wooden railings. The hotel beach is pretty small and gets crowded fast. Especially since it’s open to the public. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the trip and would recommend the Secrets brand.

Very happy all inclusive
Overall very good experience. We enjoyed the nice restaurants and the beautiful view from our room. Wanted to thank Ehidan at lobby and Andrea at Spa especially for their exceptional hospitality during our stay. The sea has very good quality. Just note that the beach isn’t big and wave could be big sometimes.

Great vacation
I enjoyed my stay at the Vine alot and would consider going back . There were several things we did not like though. There is alot of wear and tear around the hotel, that shows the age of the hotel. Also the balconies are not private. I agree with the others on the heat in the lobby. Some days it was really hot but bearable for the limited time we spent there. The bathrooms are not really private either. The shower is in the middle of the room in a glass enclosure. It's frosted glass but that's as much privacy as you get. This is the same with the water closet. Housekeeping was hit or miss. The first day they were very attentive even did our turndown service. All the other days we had to request service multiple times before they actually came. Other than that we had a great time. The view and beach were great. Very little seaweed. There were plenty of beach chairs, however not alot of umbrellas after 9am. The energy and vibe of the hotel was great. There was always something to do. I would have preferred more hip hop/r&b music, but it wasn't a huge deal. The food was good, better than expected, especially in the sports bar. We had a preferred room, but didn't really see the benefit in having the upgrade. Overall it was a very nice experience and I would definitely go again.

The Vine Cancun - Not too big, not too small, just right.
4th trip to Cancun and Secrets - The Vine did not disappoint. As usual we bought thru Costco, same as other trips. Travel as a couple, 50's, not "preferred", members of any clubs, or time share holders. We just vacation wherever we want to go. :) HOTEL: The Vine has a small footprint compared to other resorts but packs a mighty punch. Exterior made use of low-voltage lighting to highlight the modern design. The interior was friendly, clean, inviting, open, modern and really convenient. All the elevators worked (nice). Getting to everything is really easy. We've been to resorts that required a golf cart or 1/2 mile walk to get anywhere. Minor architectural complaint we like coffee on our balcony in the AM, and there are no REAL dividers between the rooms, so no balcony privacy. CUISINE: We are not foodies, but I have to admit this place was a notch above other Secrets resorts (Mujeres /Jamaica) we have visited. The Food and Bev Mgr makes their offerings a priority. Thru the Asian Restaurant we were offered & accepted a private lobster dinner invitation which in itself was awesome. Private dining room, private chef all made right in front of a small group of 10. Not included ( $75.00 USD/person) and worth every penny. Thx Yovani ! BEACH/POOL: We beach every day and pool not very often. The pools looked nice but we didn't go in. The beach and pools are both a bit crowded due to limited space. The beverage service is as good as anywhere. Claudia, Juan-ito, and Jose made every effort for us and were great! The waves were beautiful and rough. Water temp was pleasant. Only real complaint was beach & pool chair saving which is a problem everywhere. At least the staff, after a 4 hour no show, did eventually take front row savers' belongings to a lost & found and opened up the chairs. If I could make ONE rule! It would be this! LOL OVERALL: We typically like new adventures each time we travel so we prolly won't return...but this is a very nice hotel! We would be happy to recommend to any of our family or friends.

Need lot of improvement on thier working staff and management staff.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with champagne and then guided to the registration desk. However, our first experience at check-in was disappointing. The staff was conversing in Spanish, and we overheard them saying, "Don’t even bother explaining upgrades; these people won’t be upgrading their room." My husband understood everything, and he was understandably upset. Despite this, we chose not to react as we were there to celebrate a special birthday with our cousins and didn't want to let it spoil our mood. Throughout our stay, we encountered more staff members displaying similar behavior, speaking in their language, which my husband could understand, but we never confronted them or responded. To make matters worse, our group dinner reservations were mysteriously lost not just once, but for two consecutive days, even though we had received confirmation emails each time. The staff seemed uninterested and dismissive of our concerns. When we addressed the issue with several managers, we found them difficult to work with as well. Some staff members even expressed frustration, saying things like, "My shift is over, I need to go home." It was astonishing how these incidents occurred daily, and the overall attitude from certain staff members made it hard to believe this was happening. While we did encounter a few amazing team members, unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression. Our large group traveled from different states to celebrate and have fun, but it feels like we chose the wrong place for a memorable experience.
