My wife and I stayed at this hotel in room 3250 from the 5th to the 26th of December on preferred status. The first thing to say is that preferred status is a waste of money the only extra you receive is the services of a so called butler , for even the smallest things i.e we asked for the bulb in our balcony lamp to be replaced for 17 days and then gave up. Premium drinks are available to all guests, not just preferred and preferred areas are not well policed so that people who have not payed the extra use these facilities (a simple wrist band would solve this problem) On the plus side the hotel has excellent staff, I must mention Ramiel at the Casino bar who makes the best whisky sour on the complex, all of the staff at the Olio(the best place for breakfast) Margarita at the Manatee bar and all of the staff there, the barefoot grill on the beach great for lunchtime snacks with Mr Sexy, and the El Patio in our opinion the best for an evening meal. You are told on arrival that there is no need to book any restaurant, the problem with this is that you have to be early or be prepared to be disappointed They have a very unreliable turn down service but they do have excellent entertainment every night.

The resort itself was immaculate and a great location beautiful beaches pools are clean. The food was not up to standard service was good. I had upgraded to a room with a hot tub. The hot tub itself was nice hot tub probably a four seater and it was surrounded by marble you had to go up two steps the handle itself stopped at the second step so when you exited the hot tub you immediately hit the marble after the second step and there was nothing to over any support. I slipped and turned my ankle and tore ligaments in my toes which ruined my whole vacation because I wasn’t able to move around to where I wanted to go.There are no warning signs around the hot tub nor any mats or rough grouched surface when you exit hot tub.My advice is don’t get room with hot tub til they fix the problem

If you are looking for a full Christmas experience with some hype prior to, you will be disappointed, Christmas Eve was full of activity which helped, the pool and bar staff were awesome and engaging if you want to be but respectful if you chose not to be, found most of the music after the nightly shows, which were great, catered to the 30 and under guests
