  Perfect for our honeymoon

  We spent 5 days at Secrets Moxché for our honeymoon the first week of June! The resort is absolutely stunning, and our Preferred Ocean View Junior Suite was beautiful and spacious. The beach had lots of seaweed, so we spent most of our time in the cenotes/pools. The Preferred Club has a rooftop pool and restaurant. We enjoyed that experience, but you could still really enjoy your time without it. The food was above average. We enjoyed the steak house, the buffet, and particularly the Mexican restaurant. The Italian was just okay, but it could have been what we ordered! They did a great job through music and games like volleyball crafting the atmosphere of each pool. We loved lounging by the quiet cenotes! The staff was attentive and personable. Though the price can seem steep compared to some resorts, our experience could not have been better!!!

  Gorgeous resort, horrible beach

  Pros: 1. Service was great. Everyone was extremely friendly. 2. Food was good. Restaurants had a good variety and the buffet(s) were stellar for breakfast and lunch. Beach Club buffet for lunch was out of this world. Some of the dinner restaurants were missing “expected” items - for example, the Italian didn’t have chicken Parmesan, no mole in the Mexican. Odd menu items but still good food overall. 3. The beach/sand lagoon was really cool. It tried to make up for the fact that you can’t really swim on the beach. 4. TONS of pools. Pools everywhere. Little nooks with pools, hammocks, so cute and romantic. Loved it. 5. We were on the Impression side - rooms were gorgeous. Black/grey stone, stone tub in the room and balcony. So pretty. The Impressions lobby was nice for snacks and coffee. Drinks were better in the Impressions lobby vs the pool bar. 6. Spa was stunning and the services were amazing. My massage therapist was Alma and she was beyond exceptional. 7. Love the coffee shop. Cons: 1. Hotel room key is on your phone and works half the time. The tech idea was nice, but annoying as hell 2. Drinks were horribly inconsistent - to the point where some smelled chemical and others had a powdery/grit texture. For example - the espresso in the espresso martinis was just floating in the glass? Weird. I dumped a few just due to the consistency. 3. The beach was unswimmable. We knew it was going to be ugly with the sandbags, but we did not expect it to be unswimmable with the seaweed. The rotten egg smell penetrated the entire resort. Brutal. And very disappointing. There’s nothing they could do about it - but honestly, as beautiful as this resort is - the decor, stone, lagoon… we will not be coming back to an unswimmable beach and that smell. 4. The stone walkways are unlevel with random potholes. They’re not travertine-esk like most of the Secrets. It was hard to watch people trip all night in their dress sandals. 5. My husband’s chair broke at dinner. We were just eating and he went flying sideways. He’s a very lean guy so it was a huge shock.

  Secreto review

  Gabby , aranza , Ellis, David all have been amazing. The people that stayed here feel welcomed and made everyone feel at home. They taught us Spanish and did everything they could to make us have a good time.

  Best trip ever

  Monica,Regina, Jessica, Lise, Cristian, Miguel, axel are the best people in the whole resort, they made our trip 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 the activities are so much fun, we are gonna come back only for this amazing people 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

  Fun!

  Jessica was my favorite! She was so informative so sweet so fun!!! Jose kept us entertained as well as axel and Monica! I look forward to then anytime we left the room!
