Lucky to spend a week in paradise before isolation started
From the moment we arrived everyone was beyond nice. The location is absolutely awesome! The views are just amazing and the perfect weather just enhances it. We spent days lounging by pool, sailing, and kayaking....every worker was kind and helpful and made you feel like family. The food was great and service even better. I have to say the resort did a amazing job keeping everything clean...we were there at the start of the pandemic and never did I not feel safe. We will definitely be returning.
Best vacation we had at an adult all inclusive resort
Check in was quick and easy because we beat the crowds but hiring a private car from Secrets. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated. The view was breath taking. We have travelled the Caribbean and cruised extensively. Secrets property was top notch. The entire place was spectacular. The architecture was interesting and constructed with a lot of intent. The intent being the satisfaction to the customer. We stayed in building 2, second floor. Perfect location. Same floor as the Sky Bar, stores, buffet and the restaurants. The service at all of these locations was amazing. The staff all go to great lengths to ensure the guests are happy. We had a few meals at Castaways. By far our favourite restaurant. The view and vibe were memorable. Nathaly the hostess greeted us with warmth every time we attended. Eden MARTINEZ the Castaways manager attended to our every dietary request. He made us feel special and not a bother. Daily beach activities with Alessandro and the team was a daily thing for us. They were all very helpful and engaging. The daily room staff were so friendly and took pride in their work. Griselda and Elizabeth made our 14 day extremely comfortable attending to our every need. Every night Elizabeth came to the room to turn down the bed and helped us with our limited Spanish language. Service at the beach was always consistently good. Barefoot Grill , Cin Cin, Oceana, Spice and buffet, staff and food were amazing. Theme night food was also very good.
4th visit and they dont care if its your 1st
I feel loyalty should lie when you return year after year !This resort does nothing to there loyal guests! Its a real shame .I emailed 3 weeks before arriving to ask for the building Id like to be placed in and that it was our anniversary! After several emails I was told its busy I will get what I get and that what I got a crappy room not what I ask for and nothing for our anniversary! Weve went every year and they really do nothing like some of the other resorts weve went to! One resort upgraded us every year very nice rooms and we didnt ask! From talking to lots of guests the week we were there everyone said the same thing the staff is good but just not friendly like other resorts .We barely tipped in the breakfast we couldnt even get a second cup of coffee every morning and no one ever picked up our plates and we sat in the breakfast area in the front! I was really disappointed . The Elevator was BROKE ALL WEEK LONG!! I have a knee brace and was all I could do to climb stairs all day long!They didnt care Our building was in 1 so we had to use it daily!That would never fly in the USA!! It was aweful I was so upset! Not much entertainment but you cant go to sleep until they are done its so loud almost every room can hear it! As there daily totals started to drop they closed restaurants changed menus and made them smaller a few nights there were only 2 open for the night we ended up going to town and eating since there was nothing open.Lots of wonderful place to choose in the cute quaint town! We all felt they got there full price of money from us and we got shafted! The thing that brings us back every year is the weather its very very hot no rain no cool breeze we love it to get out of cold winter weather but Secrets needs someone to come in work on a few areas while they are closed during this time.

We found this resort to be outstanding! For years Aruba was our numbers destination but for the price, we prefer Secrets. The room was great with a nice sitting area outside. The staff was unbelievably pleasant and helpful. Upon our arrival we were met by Alexis with pleasant smile and could not do enough to help you. Every morning, early at about 7:00 a.m. we obtained a coffee which is in the lobby located at front of the Market Coffee, and went downstairs to locate a nice place around the pools or beach. If you try to place a towel on a chair and return several hours later, you may find that your chair has been given to someone else. From previous experience at other resorts some people would save a chair by placing a towel all day and would not show up or late afternoon which is not fair for other people. We never had problems finding a chair or getting a towel. The restaurants were great and meals are very good and well prepared and presented. I find the wine was good but you could order better quality wine if you wish. The staff was AWESOME. Every one from cleaners, waiters, waitresses, managers were pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, we did not obtain all the names but several names I recall, Ana, works at breakfast time at the Market Coffee, her manager, Nemotio Cruz. Also Leyver Arrona who works as a waiter at CinCin. Service, food, rooms and location is great. We will certainly return in the near future Reno and Claudette Daigle
