Feb 06, 2026Wonderful time (again) at Secrets Cap Cana
This was our second vacation at Secrets Cap Cana. We absolutely love it there. Ricardo was our butler. We requested him because he was our butler the first time we visited in December 2024. The property is beautiful and our room (Master Suite Ocean Front) was wonderful. We will definitely visit again!

10/10 Need to go back!
BOOK IT I have absolutely no cons about this place!! I’d go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. We visited for 10 nights January 2026 and had the best time. The food was incredible at every restaurant, we usually do self catering in Europe somewhere so we can have a walk and try somewhere new each night so the idea of all inclusive did scare us. HOWEVER this place had the best food, we never had an issue getting a table of 4 and even if there was a short wait we got a flashing pager so we could grab a drink and wait. The quality and selection on offer was mind blowing, fillet steak, lobster tail, huge prawns, scallops… the list goes on. We’ve never stayed anywhere like this so we were really impressed. The cocktails were also all amazing, especially the frozen daiquiris and frozen mojitos, they will basically make you anything you want at the bar so don’t worry about the menus. Premium spirits are also available just make sure you specify grey goose etc. if you want it. The staff can’t do enough for you at this place and Reinaldo our concierge was on hand if we ever needed him, we’d ask for him again if we can ever afford to go back! Do take plenty of $1 & $5 bills to tip the staff and cleaners, they deserve it. We’ve stayed in plenty of 5* hotels but this was the first time we’ve had a turn down service every night!! We did visit the spa for a deep tissue massage and it was one of the best massage I’ve had! There was seaweed on the beach but not an awful amount and the tractor does come out at sunrise to clear most of it up. Water sports were great fun, we did kayaking and paddle boarding and would have done more if it wasn’t so windy. The sea is also really shallow for a long way out and very calm so great for a dip! Top tips: The pool beds fill up by 10:00/10:30 and do get reserved before breakfast even though they say you can’t reserve them. The beach always has plenty of beds all day and with a beach like that who needs a pool. You won’t see a sunset so get up at least once for the sunrise and walk to the small pier to watch it with the brow pelicans. Book the spa early in your stay as you’ll get use of the facilities for your whole stay. Go to the shows, they’re not usually our thing but the singers and dancers were great. Men need trousers to eat inside at the French and Italian. Dyson airwaps from the UK do not work in the Dominican so don’t bother bringing it. The toiletries in the room are all Le Labo so don’t waste space packing your own. Download the Hyatt Inclusive app before you go to check out the menus and activities. A daily list of activities etc. are also send by your concierge via what’s app daily.

Tired middle school teacher here. Third annual stay at SCC. Peace and quiet!!! Service always great! Our butler Matiel and Eduardo at the Market Cafe always take such good care of us. Two negatives: The towel game is on at the Preferred Club pool. Nearly all the chairs had towels on them by 8:30 a.m. The guests open the big plastic bags and take the towels out before the pool attendants even get there!!! The dinner food at Oceana was baaadddd. Overcooked. Third year in a row! We learned for year four LOL! We will still return for Christmas 2026...

Firstly, I visited here back in 2023 and it was a far better experience. This time around was awful. First week was bliss, the second week we overheard someone say there was a private party of 700 people arriving for a 4 day private event! They weren’t joking…they set up 2 enormous tents on the beach which completely obstructed any view we had. The construction of these took about 4 days to put up, with constant driving in the beach, banging about and general smells and mess. The workers even started using the female toilets that were for the guests to use on the beach. When the group did finally arrive, they had access to all the same restaurants etc as us, resulting in at least 3 nights in a row a restaurant was closed to us to cater for them. The entertainment put in for them was so much better, DJs cocktails whilst the likes of us had nothing. We had one night on the beach with a DJ, that was then moved indoors about 2 hrs later! This went on for the whole second week we were there. They finally had their main event (didn’t use the enormous tents on the beach except for the last night and morning) and the hotel closed the restaurant facing the beach that night so the party had their ‘privacy’. They had their security walking around making sure we didn’t get too close to their event etc. The music from the DJ pretty much drowned out anything that we were trying to listen to and the next morning (their last day) they had a breakfast on the beach with the DJ again, doing sound checks at 8am! We just felt like we were not important (despite spending nearly £9,000 for 2 weeks) and were treated as if our money and time and experience didn’t matter. The pool Staff were great and the restaurant staff, but as for management of the hotel, they couldn’t care less. TUI Gave us £250.00 back!!! Never go back here again. So sad as the first experience was great

Luis was awesome, he was very attentive and always able to get us the information we needed. He quickly booked out spa treatments and Hibachi dinner. He was able very kind and encouraging. He would find us at the pool in the morning and make sure we had everything we needed. I would request Luis the next time we return :)
