Dec 28, 2025A week of bliss
If you are looking for a totally relaxing get away, with lots of great food, and fabulous service, in an upscale resort, Secrets Bahia Mita is for you. While evening entertainment is hit and miss, if your primary reasons to get away are to relax and enjoy the sun, with some great food and drinks, I don't think you will be disappointed. We booked the preferred club which provided access to roof top infinity pool, which we really enjoyed as did not have to get up early to reserve a chair by putting a towel down. They came by to offer us drinks more often than we needed them! Staffing levels overall are really good, as never seemed to wait long for anything. As we were there just before Christmas, perhaps a slower time but my sense is this resort delivers even during the peak season. Shout out to Jesus Cabrera (Assistant Manager, Front Desk) and Gladiola (our "butler") who were both awesome when anything popped up that needed attention. Both great people with genuine concern to make sure we were totally satisfied. Thanks again to both of you for making this past trip the most relaxing one I have ever been on.

Must travel to resort, lots to do, great food!
Me and my husband had a great time on the secrets side for 9 days in December 2025. Stand outs include Maria and Sergio pool concierges. Jessica our personal concierge. Luis our waiter on the secrets pool was fantastic, fast with drinks/food and had a great attitude with us! Liz in the breakfast buffet was so lovely and very helpful with breakfast. They all went above and beyond making our holiday experience one to remember. The entertainment team also was great with different things to do everyday and they put on a lovely Christmas dinner with a mariachi band!

Fabulous Family Christmas Getaway
The location was remote and beautiful. Atmosphere of the resort was very nice. Rooms were large with very comfortable beds. Dreams felt good bang for buck regarding value. Everything was kept clean, both resort and room. Dreams was as noisy as expected and Secrets was very quiet (aside from things like live music). Service was stellar! For example, Omar at Splash took amazing care of our extended family over multiple days; he was AWESOME! All of the onsite amenities were great, the hotel has recommendations for excursions like the one we did, and the guys enjoyed a round of golf 15 minutes away at Higuera. Bonus for coming during Christmas (there were some truly unbelievable things this week that I can’t spoil 😂)!!

This was our second time at the hotel. Everyting went well as expected. One of the elevators on Secrets building needs attention. It didn't stop evenly and I didn't noticed it and took a fall. Nothing major but it was painfull. I alerted the staff to check it our.

We had a great time. We pick this location for the surf break, but the resort and entertainment staff are great too. Special shoutout for Ana and Wendy as well as the pool side servers, Luis, Ivan and Marcel.
