  Sensational Stay

  This was our 10th stay at the hotel (we are not RE members) and we love it. There was some negative reviews just before we arrived and there was absolutely no reason, and is no reason, to be worried about getting ill. We drank and ate at numerous restaurants and used the large water dispenser in the room daily. No tummy issues at all. We stayed in the new Platinum suites which are stunning. You can book these rooms with the hotel directly, or if you use an agent, your agent can do this for you. As always, the beach is amazing. We found this time the food at the Italian was the best for a la carte dining. We always had breakfast at the small buffet located near the infinity pool which is adult only for breakfast (families served for lunch). We often would pop in the Premium Select Club bar at the meeting point for a snack/lunch as they always had fresh prosciutto and cheese, fruit, sweets and the drinks there are fantastic - especially when made by Rodrigo! But, if we went to the main buffet for lunch, there was always a lot of great options in terms of salads, grilled fish and meats. The night shows are fun - the night of the Elvis show, I couldn't believe how many people were up dancing by the stage! People were having a blast. I highly recommend booking a romantic dinner via concierge. There are a number of options but we did a dinner in the wine cellar. But there a lot of beautiful beach venues as well. Pricing depends on menu selection. The adult only pool does have Bali beds that now charge a fee for rental for the day. But there are loungers available and on the adult only section of beach there is never an issue getting seats. No drink service in the adult only beach area while we were there, but there was in the family section. There was drink service at the adult only pool. No issues with using your own Yeti - they gladly filled those. Can't wait to go back!

  Good and Not so Good

  We just left this resort. It is huge!!! The employees are super friendly and food was very good. The room was OK. It could use some upkeep. The juccusi was stained and was not appealing. We didn't use it. The door to the balcony was broken and hard to slide. There is just 1 shuttle to service this huge resort. We waited 20 minutes and sometimes couldn't get on due to the amount of people who wanted this service. It was a scramble to get on as no one wanted to wait another 20 minutes for the next one. This was very frustrating. Beach and white sand was gorgeous. A lot of seaweed but people worked hard to clean it. Kids loved the slides. I went to the conceige about the shuttle. Not much help. I was told there were 3. That was not true in fact driver confirmed it. Restaurants were very difficult to book. We were a family of 7. The conceige helped us but I strongly suggest to see them when u arrive. Drinks were ok, not the best I've had. A menu or drink of the day would be nice. We would not return unfortunately.

  Best Family Vacation for 10 days stay.

  Family vacation April 7th to the 17th. First time bringing our 6 yar old son with us and second time at this resort. We have nothing bad to say about this resort! The food was amazing and always fresh and had the variety available for all of us.. we where 9 travelling together. Our room was always clean, stocked up fridge and fresh towels. The staff was the best part of our stay, so helpful and friendly. There was always a chair for us by the beach or pool, even with us 9 people needing them. The entertainment was a 10 our of 10. Kids club was great also for our 6 year old. I used the Gym everyday and I have never seen a cleaner gym at a resort. The only suggestion is to get more sets of weights, it was had to grab a set as the gym was busy in the AM. There is soo much to do at this resort and see.. for a 10 day stay we never go board. Our room was at the very front of the resort in the family section and it was very quite at night and during the day too.. We hardly used the trolly to get to the beach, we loved walking there and seeing all the beautiful trees and sounds in the jungle beside us. For those who have bad things to say about this place, I have no idea why you would. The beach was sooo clean and clear also. again the second time going and both times were the best!

  Highly recommended!

  Excellent resort. We travelled here with our three children and some extended family. Everything was wonderful. Spacious, clean, well maintained rooms. Great food and drinks. Beautiful beach and pools. Lots of entertainment and activities. No complaints!

  Jose and Miriam awesome!

  Awesome! Jose and Miriam over at sandos playacar vip lounge are a must visit duo of spectacular bartenders! They smile non stop and serve you to your hearts delight! It was a pleasure to drink there with their drink recommendations; get the Charro Negro!
