  Sandos always has great service and the people are very friendly, specially the bar tender at the avenue bar, Jose

  Our stay was fantastic as always. Jose, our favorite bar tender did not disappoint. Give this man a raise, he is always smiling and trying to make the guests as happy as possible. He is quick and always very respectful. The food at the restaurants was also great

  Everything was amazing!

  The sports bar was excellent. The workers were great. Helped so much and did amazing! they were the best bartender that we had. waited on us and gave the best drinkers possible. everything tasted amazing and we had as many as we wanted . The sports bar was the best bar possible.

  Rooms outdated/ unappealing. Utilities malfunctioning, room temperatures were not consistent. Lastly, the food HORRID!!

  I will NEVER come back to Sandos Playacar. All the restaurants and buffets at this resort was watered down, no flavor. I had to good off the resort to find decent food. The rooms were so unappealing. Not like the pictures shown online. Tour food was TERRIBLE as well.

  I’d stay again but improvements needed

  Booked with Tui and can’t really fault them. Only disappointment on arrival was when reception tried to upgrade us to their ‘better family accommodation’ on the beach front for about £750! I get why they offered but at this point we told that the room we had been allocated was close to the lobby + top pools but a 15-20 min walk to the beach and newer family pool area on beach front! After a 10 hour flight this really upset my wife as not what we expected but after exploring the resort we actually found it to be Ok. There are transfers to the beach/pool but we didn’t use them as was only really a 10 min walk even worth the kids. Overall room was as described but the extra bed wasn’t made when we arrived. This was a sofa bed that was covered in stains so didn’t look great. Can’t fault guest services who offered us a different room but we decided to stick with it. The fridge in the room wasn’t very cold and even though Tui state it is stocked every day - this actually had to be requested on a daily bases between 8am and 4pm - not ideal, especially of been out all day on excursion. The water dispenser was also room temperature, it looked like at some point in the past it would have been plugged in and could offer hot or cold water but it had no electrical lead so clearly didn’t work anymore. This was disappointing for such a hot country - warm water is not refreshing and as fridge not great, we couldnt really cool our own in bottles. Cleaner was good, came every day and eventually realised we needed 5 towels not 4! Pool areas all clean but 2 of my kids cut their foot in the beach kids pool and the one near our room on broken tiles! Pool bars also good but opened late. 90% of staff amazing but some not so much, came across a little rude at times. Overall buffet food was impressive, they just need to remember to check the chips as these always went quickly and on most occasions we stood waiting for more whilst the rest of our food got cold on our plate. This happened nearly every day. Restaurants also not amazing - good they are all included and easy to book but often you expect better food than the buffets which none of them really delivered on. Breakfast and lunch always amazing, also the snack bars. Overall we were happy, we had an amazing holiday and made some great memories
