    Sandos Playacar Beach Resort is not exceptional not excellent and not great it is just average.

    We so looked forward to our well earned holiday to Sandos Playacar Beach Resort. We booked a adult only select club ocean front. The room was nice and big the view was very nice. We couldn't get in our room with the bellboy when we first arrived late at night and tired from the flight. The door wouldn't open with our bracelets. One hour later someone came and fixed the entry lock. We are tired and decided to order room service at 8 pm and beer. Sat on the phone for 45 minutes before someone answered the 24 hour room service. Asked for food on the menu and oh sorry that is not available. Asked for beer and oh sorry that is not available. We ordered chicken wings and they came a hour later freezing cold. Next morning went down for breakfast at 7 am. Everything they had under lamps to keep warm looked wonderful however if you enjoy eating a cold breakfast? When we got back home my husband stated finally a warm breakfast and that is sad when you pay good money for a holiday. Many people were ill however I believe it was something contacted on the plane. We went back up to our room and we were locked out again from entering. Again 1 hour to get someone to let us in. The next night at 9 :30 pm we were sleeping and a person banging at our door wanted dishes we had none the person came earlier that morning and collected our first night stay room service dishes. 2 nights later 10 pm knock on the door for dishes. We didn't order room service. 2 nights later another knock on the door 10:30 pm we ignored it and they tried opening it and the chain stopped the door. My husband got up and the guy looked startled when my husband answered the door. I reported this to management however we feel like it fell on deaf ears. Next day again we were locked out of our room. Maintenance guy replacement the whole outdoor lock with a new one. This was another hour wasted waiting. A person was running around frantically on the beach in the adults only section someone had stolen their pack sacks containing money, phones and cameras. People from Nova Scotia were waiting for a different room because the room they were given had mold all over it and apparently it stunk of mold. They locked their luggage in storage waiting and took their money and passports with them. They were sitting by the adults only pool and had a few drinks and both headed to the washroom figuring their stuff was safe by the pool in the spot they were sitting in. All their money was gone however they were just happy they left their passports. This is not a 24 hour resort I don't know how they get away with advertising that. Room fridge was not stocked every day as advertised we were constantly phoning for it to be replenish every day. Room cleaning we had 3 days every thing looked wonderful out of 10 nights. The rest of the days were like a extremely bad house cleaning. Forgot towels, coffee and cleaning the floor. My husband loves Cancun side of Mexico so we will be back however we won't waste our hard earned money at Sandos Playacar Beach. Also we did feel ill with diarrhea and throwing up however we could have caught that on our flight there. I have come down since I have been back home with itchy palms and itchy feet on the bottom with tiny bumps everywhere. My doctor told me I have contacted foot, hand and mouth disease and he figured from this resort. Beach = 3 star Nicer beaches in St Lucia, St Marten, Varadero and Jamaica for less price. Room= 3 star House cleaner= 2 star Breakfast buffet= 1 star Lunch buffet= 5 star Dinner buffet= 3 star 24 hour room service= 0 star Front desk= 2 star Sandos Playacar Beach could be a 5 star resort however they need better management. The management at this resort is= 0 star. It's like they don't care.

    The service was good, everyone was very friendly.

    Beautiful resort! Very large so be prepared to walk. Adults only offers many extra perks. Ronaldo at the family pool swim up bar was absolutely amazing!

    It was the sim up bar they were amazing and so kind. Rogelio served me fast and everything he made was very good. He did not fail to put a smile on everyone’s faces and welcome us with kindness and respect

    I would like to thank Michel and Valeria for the participation they had with our children in the Michael Jackson show and the fashion show. We enjoyed it very much, and it is very nice that they involve our children as part of the show. They were always attentive and took very good care of our children

    The best restaurant at Sandos Playacar

    Carlos was amazing, the Services were above and beyond. Highly recommended. Even the hostess Beatriz went above and beyond for us. Go to Fogo Brazilian restaurant.
