My husband and I have been members for several years. Over time we’ve gotten to know a few employees and our visits now feel like coming home to get pampered. During these difficult times with the pandemic, I think of how hard it must be for all the wonderful people who work here to have their livelihoods affected. I’d like to know how to reach out to a couple of them specifically to see how they’re doing. Is there a way to get a message out to them? We’re looking forward to returning as soon as they let us fly again. See you again soon. From California with love!
Stayed at Sandos in July 2019, hotel was great. Buffet at Don Diego was great, lots of choices, didn't care too much for Italian Restaurant, had the shrimp scampi, but all other food choices everywhere were very good. Night time entertainment was good. By the pool, there is a small stand with a guy making small pizzas with any ingredients of your choice which were tasty. Lots of very good Mexican food everywhere. Burgers, hot dogs and nachos by the pool. Couples massage at the spa was fabulous and romantic. Walking distance to Cabot Wabo. Right across the street is the Marina with lots to see and do. The hotel is built within and on top of mountains and from the upper level where the entertainment is the view is fabulous. All the workers were friendly. We stayed on the first floor and had the view of the beach. We would definitely stay there again. Had a great time..
Love this place!!
I have been coming here for the past couple of years and all I can say is I LOVE IT HERE!! Been to other Sandos locations, but this by far is my FAVORITE!! The staff is amazing! I always look forward to seeing Fernando at the pool area, Norma's beautiful smile, Queen Elizabeth are just a couple to contribute to my stay. The food is amazing and with a beautiful presentation! I was looking forward to coming again this May, but due to the COVID19 I have to postpone my trip. Looking forward to coming back later this year.
My husband and I have been to this resort 4 times and we just love it! We take a quick flight (4 hrs) and land in sunny weather. We are always greeted with smiling faces and a glass of champagne! We spend most of our days by the pool just relaxing, reading and swimming. Our pool attendant Carlos is amazing! He has been there to take care of us on all our visits. He always greets us with a smile and keeps us well fed and with drinks in hand all day long. He is professional, courteous and always reliable. We look forward to seeing him each year and catching up. We have also taken excursions off the resort that were suggested by their staff (whale watching) and also used the resort amenities such as the gym and spa. We like the fact that this resort is smaller and more intimate and not super packed. There is no need to rent a car, we usually just walk out the resort and you are at the entrance to the marina. We also walk around town and visit the local attractions. Because this is all inclusive resort you can always find something to eat, but if you want to venture out and check out the local fare, it’s not far away. We will continue to visit Sandos Finisterra. Thank you Carlos for always making our stay memorable!
Nice, but not Memorable
Nice spot, clean, good service, nice landscaping, decent rooms. Pools noisy and too close to each other. Swim up bar congested. Beach sand very hot - cannot swim or walk the beach. The angle of the shoreline is too steep to walk. There are 3 restaurants. The Italian was very good, the other two were very poor, except for breakfast which was quite good.. Not enough variety in restaurants. The room was ok. Very dark, only one beside table lamp - and VERY noisy at night near the harbour. I could not sleep. The evening shows were really fun and the outdoor venue was pretty nice (chairs not that great) - but is VERY cold at night! There were almost no activities - daytime entertainment was poor. I did love the Whale watching Bar. Beautiful view.
