  Older but well maintained - be careful if the conman bellboy

  It's an older hotel but the pool and restaurant staff was absolutely amazing. Fhe property is really clean and well maintained. The only horrible thing is the head bellboy. As we were checking ouy, the Head bellboy (older guy, dressed all in khaki, who gave us our luggage) asked how are we going to the airport. We said that Uber is picking us up. He said, Uber is not allowed at the airport, we'll be dropped off at the highway and suggested we use the car already at the door. We just got to the airport and we learned that we got tricked by him. Uber us absolutely allowed - our friends just came by Uber. Utterly disrespectful!!! An act of a con man undid the amazing work if tens of hard working people at the resort. He doesn't deserve to be there

  Fun week with friends!

  Fun week with friends. All of us were repeat guests. The hotel is older but very clean and well maintained. The staff is professional, responsive and friendly. The General Manager Nicki, sets the tone and is out engaging with staff and communicating with guests. Edgar our butler made our visit special. He was proactive in anticipating our needs and responsive to all our requests. Alberto the manager of Agave and Tortuga restaurants remember us from prior visits and made sure we received excellent service. Norma provided the best service at the pool area.

  Best Location and STAFF!!!

  My wife, two sons and daughter--in-law stayed here for one week in early February. While the hotel itself is a little dated compared to the newer hotels in Mexico, the location and the staff are the best I have experienced anywhere. When it was newer, Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones was married there. Although it is a little dated, the staff do an excellent job of maintaining it. In real estate, they say, "Location, Location, Location!" This resort probably has the best location in Cabo. Most of the rooms face the Pacific Ocean and the three pools. The morning breakfast buffet is at the Don Diego restaurant that overlooks the marina and the entire city. It is an amazing view. The entertainment is also done here as well as the Cupcake Cafe for extra desserts. Several restaurants and bars are located at this ridge top location. So, you have the best of everything with this hotel's views of the ocean, the marina, the dolphin experience pool, and the entire city. Furthermore, it is a quick walk to get to the marina where most of the city’s restaurants and bars are located. If you want a really good Italian dinner, go see Mario at The Kitchen by Nowhere Bar (it will make sense when you get there). I should add that the food in the hotel restaurants was very good. I was never disappointed. Starting with our Sando Finisterra receptionist and down to our exit, the staff was wonderful. Mar, at reception, was welcoming, helpful and efficient. She really handled everything we asked of her. I don’t think I ever walked by reception when Mar was not there. Omar, supervisor at the Steakhouse restaurant, is fantastic. He works hard to make the experience of dining there extraordinaire. He is one of those people who doesn't just supervise, but he also jumps into action to make sure the needs of guests are met quickly and satisfactorily. Adi, the hostess at the Steakhouse and at the morning buffet, had our names, room number, etc. memorized by the second day. She was amazing. It made us feel like family, not some visiting guests. Ameyuli, a server at the Steakhouse and several other restaurants, was welcoming, informative, and very quick to respond. Again, we felt at home. And finally, Jeffite (sp?) is one of the activity leaders, in the pool area. He has a great deal of energy as he leads water aerobics, dance, etc. in the pool. He also keeps the crowd energized with his dialogue over the pool speakers. These are the main people who really stood out as being exemplar in their responsibilities. However, I should note that we did not have any negative experience with any staff and they were all well trained and friendly. These are extremely hard-working people and I can't tell you how much I appreciate them. You need to go there and experience it yourself.   A week trip with 4 couples.

  Amazing service by everyone. Edgar is the best concierge/butler we have ever had anywhere. Alberto is also an amazing restaurant manager.
