Awesome Holiday
We just finished our second stay at this resort and travelled with another couple. I can’t say enough about the fabulous service we received from the front desk to the waiters on the beach. I do have to say the best bartender was Jose Luis Rodriguez at the Whale bar. He was very personable and made the best cocktails. Our Air Canada rep Luis Azpiri was fantastic as well and provided us with some great tips, excursions and sorted out a minor room issue in short order. The resort food was very good with a wide selection. The best restaurant was Agave with incredible service and food quality. The resort staff put on a great Super Bowl party with lots of food and music. The Waldorf Astoria resort is located right next to Sandos so we did book dinner at their El Farallon restaurant which is carved into a cliff overlooking the ocean. The views and food were incredible and well worth the extra cost. Their lobster Mac and cheese is to die for. We did a self guided tour to Chileno beach which is a $25 Uber ride from the resort. The beach was gorgeous, with clean bathrooms and some great snorkeling. There is limited food and drink options available on the beach so pack your own to bring along. We also did the Dog Walk excursion which is available next to the resort. Enrique runs a dog rescue and 6 days a week the public can join him at 8 am to climb Mt. Solmar. The climb was tough and really not suitable for anyone out of shape. Once at the top of the mountain the views of the ocean and marina were incredible. The only fee was a donation to the rescue at the end. The final excursion we did was a camel ride at the Cactus Tour site. The place is about a 45 minute ride from the resort and although the camel ride along the beach at sunset was fun it was constantly interrupted by a staff photographer taking photos to try and sell you for $150 at the end. They also have atv/side by side, horseback riding and cycling on elevated wires for additional cost. The facility was great and food provided was very good. The marina across the street from the resort was great for a stroll to shop or go for drinks but check the cruise ship schedule online to avoid the large crowds that arrive with the ships. We had a fantastic week at this resort and will definitely return next year.

The resort was 100% exceptional
The resort setting is very beautiful. The swim up bar was ran by very hard working bartenders. The bar service was excellent as well as the drinks. The restaurants all have great food and excellent servers. I’d like to acknowledge Jaz and Alberto, they provided, smiles, and superior service. Nora provided superb drink service at the pool. Edgar was very responsive and attentive.

Great holiday! Lots of extras, cooking classes, crafts, mixology and wine tasting were great and complimentary.
The service and cleanliness of the property deserves a 5 but our room needed some upgrades. The entertainment staff was excellent. Yuki, Carmen and Melissa were amazing.
