  A Gift of a Trip

  My husband and I were at Salterra for four days last week. The trip was a gift from my husband at Christmas. He had read about the resort online and wanted to try it. It was an easy trip with a connection on American Airlines from Miami to South Caicos. Our resort check in was a breeze. Deep was especially friendly. We were offered an upgrade to our room and were given a beautiful suite on an upper floor. The complimentary beach bag and water bottles were a nice touch. The bed was so comfy. And the bathroom was huge!! The moon cooperated by being full so the view from the balcony was gorgeous at night. The ambience was very peaceful as the hotel was not full at all. The pool area is magnificent with two levels of deck chairs. Lots of towels and sunscreen available. The pool water was cool and refreshing, although the different depths of water made it an interesting swim if you were doing laps. And the beach is right there down a few steps from the pool. The water is clear and warm and the waves are very gentle. We enjoyed the tropical drinks offered poolside. The lavender infused one was especially tasty. We did not go on any of the "Adventures" offered although you could see the nice new Salterra boats from the beach. We did take yoga one morning with Vishnu. It was a nice way to start the day outside. Our goal was to relax. I had been in touch with Devon, the Concierge. He arranged transportation to and from the airport. We made reservations at three restaurants (although it was not necessary due to the smaller guest number). We dined at Cobo, the more casual restaurant, a few times. It is right on the water. We loved the greens salad with grilled shrimp-a perfect light meal. Asanica at Cobo was very friendly and accommodating. We had Mother's Day dinner at Regatta. Very good. Sholini was our server. She was lovely and attentive. She served us another day at Cobo and we discovered she had quite a sense of humor also! Brine is an experience and a splurge. The prix-fixe dinner with the wine pairings was superb. We had the dining room mostly to ourselves and the service by Nabil and others was impeccable. The Flamingo Cafe was perfect for breakfast. And we really liked Daniel! He remembered our names, room number, food preferences, after one day. And all with a charming smile! Even the gal at the gift shop was friendly, and we had the added surprise of seeing her at the airport as she works for American Airlines also! In fact, everybody was so friendly. The housekeeping staff is a bit overzealous. They rang our door even with the Privacy light on, but, as a whole, the staff is obviously invested in making Salterra a success. Many of them have worked in other resorts and are enjoying the relaxed atmosphere at Salterra. It is a beautiful place. We would love to go back!

  Wonderful week at Salterra Resort on South Caicos

  What a great week at Salterra Resort! Service was 5 star! Everything was fresh and new. The design was not overstated and tastefully done; in both common areas as well as the rooms. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable. The weather was perfect with many adventures to take in each day. You can choose between 4 pools or the beach; each gorgeous and clean.

  A Peaceful Slice of Paradise – Can’t Wait to Return!

  My husband and I stayed at Salterra for four nights in April, and it was everything we hoped for and more! Transportation On the way in, we flew from Miami (MIA) to Providenciales (PLS), then took InterCaribbean Airways to South Caicos (XSC), it was a longer day but everything went smoothly. The resort arranged our pickup, and it was a quick drive to the property. On the way back, we took the new American Airlines direct flight from XSC to MIA (the route runs on Wed & Sat), which was super easy and highly recommend! The Property Salterra is absolutely beautiful, from the main building to the rooms, every space is stunningly decorated. The main pool was perfect for relaxing, and the beach is quiet and serene with the picturesque Turks & Caicos turquoise water. We really appreciated the resort’s commitment to sustainability, the reusable water bottles and filtered water stations in-room were thoughtful touches. Activities There’s something for everyone here. The resort offers a weekly activity calendar with both complimentary and paid activities, we loved the conch salad demonstration! We also went snorkeling (with a boat that picks you up right on the beach) and you can also borrow bikes to explore the island at our own pace. Dining Every meal on the resort was fantastic. We especially loved lunch at Cobo and enjoyed dinners at Regatta and Sisal. Our favorite night was the five-course tasting menu at Brine, where each course was paired with local salts, it was such a unique and memorable experience! Service The staff truly made our trip special. Everyone was kind, helpful, and eager to make our stay unforgettable. Huge shout-outs to Jati, who wowed us with his craft cocktails at Sisal (and his passion for mixology), Mey at Cobo, and Aru and Daniel at Brine — they each made our dining experiences even more memorable. The island of South Caicos is quiet and stunning, and Salterra was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. We couldn’t recommend Salterra more and are already dreaming of our next visit!

  Beautiful resort in south Caicos

  Beautiful brand new resort. I loved it! Friendliest staff ever :) Pison was amazing! The restaurant was fantastic, the gym staff was great! I really really enjoyed my stay! I can’t wait to come visit again in the future! I would recommend this to anyone looking to get away!

  Pristine resort located in paradise

  My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Salterra and the experience was tremendous. Some highlights: - the resort itself is exceptional. Decor perfectly suits the vibe. Pool is the soul of the property. - We thought the food at Sisal was just okay, but the rest of the dining experiences were exceptional- particularly Regatta. Believe it or not, the Flamingo Cafe, which is essentially just a coffee bar + bakery, had some of our favorite items. - The beach is exactly what you would expect while visiting Turks & Caicos. Stunningly clear water. - I think they’ll have additional daily activities planned as they hit their stride, but we really enjoyed the morning yoga, conch salad cooking class and s’mores night. While we spent the majority of time on property just relaxing, the best things we did, hands down, were the sunset cruise and the kayaking at Jerry Camp. We were lucky enough to meet Michael, who is a co-founder of the Salterra property, and he was extremely gracious with both his time and his knowledge. He really went out of his way to ensure my wife and I had an unforgettable experience and it’s something I sincerely appreciated. - Some of the best food on the island can be found off-property- make sure you take a trip to Sunset Cafe, Dolphin Grill and Triple J’s. - Pickleball courts are lighted, which was nice in case you want to burn some calories post-dinner - The only thing that comes to mind that we weren’t fond of was the mosquito situation at night, but even then, the staff goes out of their way to make sure you are supplied with insect repellent to remain comfortable. All in all, it was an awesome trip and we’ll definitely be back!
