Go somewhere else
Ill start by saying this was my fifth and last time coming to this particular resort. Also Royalton all together. The last time we were there (always in feb. Always for a birthday) in 2024 was sub par from the previous three times. The vibe. The food. The poor app system they implemented (no reservations in person) absolutely have to use this app that barely works. The activities. Just have fallen off. 2024 trip things were off and I just chalked it up to everything cant be perfect every time we go. So this year we decided to give it another shot. Nothing changed. It just got worse. To start our booking went from a king on the hideaway side (adults only) to building 9. Last building on the property (not adults only) Instead of king bed, it was two doubles. Small room. No ocean view. When we had mentioned this was not our original booking they said there was nothing they could do. After complaining for two days and just saying we were going to just cut the vacay short and head home was when our original room miraculously opened up and was going to be available by the end of the day. And that was after being told there was no more available room any where else on the property that same afternoon. Which by walking around this huge place you could see there were plenty of spaces left. Okay whatever. But then this is when we started noticing , no more night activities in the main outside area. (Used to be painters, shopping, games, events) They were always out of ingredients for food. Like buns for burgers. Takes an hour or better to restock. The buffet… not what it used to be. Lots of bread. But not a very all inclusive selection of food. The fruit… hope you like cantalope. The food trucks they implemented are a poor choice. This is not All inclusive. Stick to making all different dishes pool side like they used to. The quality has plummeted. The steak house (inside) and a lot of surrounding area smelled like a sewer. Every restaurant was very slow service. Minimal staff. And they weren't as busy as they usually are. The Dorado a seafood restaurant had two seafood dishes available. (Again not what it used to be) The vibe team, tried their best with what they have been dealt. The vibe team used to be a VIBE. This go around very poor. I can ramble on about every small and or minimal problem, but the staff….. they did their absolute best. If anything great came of this very dismal trip to an all inclusive resort, it was the staff. I kept voicing my issues to them and really its not their fault. They kept blaming the systems, management, owners, staffing issues. Even with all that the few staff i did talk to were an absolute blessing for this resort that seems to be heading in the wrong direction. Tread lightly going here. There are many more all inclusive that give you that warm fuzzy.

Wedding experience
Amazing experience for our wedding. We had Nassar and Oscar as our butlers and they were incredible. It made the experience that much more memorable.

Be careful what you think you will be getting
This hotel is not as luxurious as it claims to be. Queues for food all the time. Speciality restaurants are difficult to book as they are never at capacity but the hotel doesn’t release all the tables for booking despite the hotel being full. The bars run out of ingredients for cocktails , it’s like the hotel is surprised at the number of people arriving! Don’t bother with a swim up pool, unless you pay for an upgrade ( 75US dollars per person per night), they are all in the shade. Upside, the staff are great!
