Above my Expectations
Diamond Club was worth every penny. Bulters Oscar and Nassar were terrific. They made our stay so enjoyable. Juan and Aldo at the Diamond Club pool were fantastic.

Honest experience
The Royalton Riviera is a lovely, clean hotel. Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely especially Veronica in Agave restaurant and Rodrygo in Dips bar. The food is catered for everyone however the food in the buffet was freezing cold. The restaurants were delicious especially Agave and Hunters but I would recommend booking all restaurants as soon as you check in as they get fully booked fast. The only negative I have is the smell in the hotel. We complained to reception that there was a foul sewage smell and unsatisfying view outside the balcony and we were fobbed off. We couldn’t even sit out on the balcony or even open the door without the smell lingering. Definitely wouldn’t recommend staying in building 5. Other then that the hotel was brilliant and would stay here again

Wonderful week!
We were 3 generations, 6 of us, ages 4 to 75. Stayed in the Diamond Club area, occupying 2 ocean view junior suites each with terrace jacuzzi, plus a Presidential one bedroom ocean view suite. Overall a beautiful 4 star-plus resort with wonderful family-oriented facilities in every way. We upgraded to Diamond Club level, providing dedicated butler service (Daniel, thank you - you’re the best!), plus access to every area of the resort including restaurants, pools, lounges, activities and events. Food and beverages were plentiful and very good quality, 24 hour room service, with the Diamond Club restaurant Armadillo, as well as Mexican Agave, and Hunter steak house getting top marks. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating and helpful - another special shout out to our butler Daniel, as well as bellman Victor, and Diamond Club pool attendants Juan, Noe and Enrique. These individuals continually went above and beyond to make sure we felt well cared for in every way. Thank you!!! Last, one of our group has a physical mobility challenge that felt daunting once we realized the size of the resort. Big thanks to Victor for seeing the challenge, and arranging for a resort-provided motorized scooter (at our cost) for our entire stay. Also, the resort itself is very well laid out and equipped with ramps and accessible facilities that alleviated our concerns and allowed us to get wherever we wanted to go. Overall, a great week and experience enjoyed by all of us, young to old, and will definitely be on the list for a return visit!!!

Loved it!
We had an absolutely amazing time at Royalton Riviera Cancun for our first holiday to Mexico! Was a little worried from reading the reviews before we left but I really do think it is dependent on your own experience. We managed to book every restaurant whilst there, I would go onto the app around midnight and book 3 restaurants maximum that day. Our favourite restaurant was the Grazie Italian, the pizzas are amazing! As you are on a resort you would need to take a taxi to venture anywhere, we were quite happy with the amenities on the resort and only left once to go on an excursion. The evening entertainment was great and would finish around 10-10.30pm but there is a small club located next to the shisha area that opens at 11pm. There is a smell from the mangroves at the resort but luckily we did not have this smell in our room as other guests as said, we were located in building 7 so maybe it is worth booking there. The shop on the resort called Amani sells lovely clothing and I purchased quite a bit! Definitely worth a look! The staff around the pool were always friendly and checking if we needed another drink and that we were ok. A huge shout out to Destafano, absolutely amazing guy who made our stay even more memorable! And of course Hilda, thank you for being so welcoming and kind to us! Edwin at the shisha area was very helpful and looked after us the entire evening we were there. The staff at the beach bar are always smiling and make the best cocktails! Another shout out to Russell from the spa team who booked an amazing massage for my husband and I, we mentioned it was my husband’s birthday and he got the spa staff to put a banner and balloons on the door of the massage room, thank you so much again! All in all we would definitely return and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great experience
Great hotel and over all experience. We had the Diamond experience and were very happy with our butler service! Nasser and Diego were the best. They arranged everything from dinners to spa treatments to exchanging money for us. Highly recommend! All the bar staff were amazing too.
