Great place to stay
The kids had a great time on the jet ski experience that they put on in the kids pool. Elisabeth was great with setting the kids up on the little jet skis. The level of entertainment this year has really been great, so much to do for everyone. This is our second year coming back and look forward to coming back again next year.

One week stay in the diamond club. Very relaxing.
Lovely resort. Enjoyed all the facilities. Juan C. the pool butler was amazing! He addressed our every need and was very attentive. Always checking on us to see if we were comfortable. Fabian and Cesar our butlers checked on us everyday and we're always ready to give assistance. Wonderful place to take a vacation.

Nice relaxing break at a good hotel.
Hotel was excellent despite being very large and a little bit off the beaten track. Staff are exceptional. Good choice of Resterant’s and very good daytime classes for fitness. Pools are well maintained. Rooms, are very good. And enough bars that it’s not an issue getting a drink. However, If you are visiting please be aware of the following. There can be a smell from the mangrove swamp that surrounds the hotel at times, however it did not put us off. Getting sun beds are a bit of a nightmare, be prepared to get up early. The hotel does not offer a shuttle bus to cancun or playa del carmen. Taxi to both is $75 each way. Despite being all inclusive tipping (while not expected) is really a given, so make sure you have plenty of $1 bills. Most of the trips offered are quite pricey and expect long journeys. But I recommend the Cirque Du Soleil show for a night out, that was excellent in a purpose built venue.

Relaxing and luxurious stay near Cancun
The hotel is beautiful and the beach is very nice. The lobby is magnificent, with a lot of seating overlooking the gorgeous view of the sea. The staff were so friendly throughout the resort. Very helpful. And the food was delicious everywhere. Best buffet I've been to. The themed restaurants had terrific variety and such tasty offerings. Everything was well prepared and plentiful. There are many different pools throughout the resort. They really cater to families with kids, with half of the pools dedicated to various slides and play apparatuses. There were often no chairs available around the pools or even at the beach as people went out early and put towels down on chairs in numerous areas. Royalton needs better beach towel management to avoid multiple "reserved" chairs. We have found that this is becoming a trend at many resorts. We were very disappointed with the evening entertainment. Although there was the odd cultural presentation, most of the post-dinner offerings were just loud music with robotic characters moving around. There was nowhere to sit and enjoy a show even if you'd wanted to. No separate theatre or disco for dancing, unless you had a premium membership. Techno music booming everywhere. No pool tables or card tables. There are a lot of bars, and the staff moved things along quite quickly to avoid line-ups. Although it was well appointed and comfortable, our room was only cleaned once during the week. We did turn them away on day 2 as we had arrived after midnight, but we had to ask for new towels a couple of times and a cleaning on day 5. With that said, the staff really were very gracious everywhere. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider Royalton resorts in future.
