Apr 29, 2025Nice resort - good for families
We had a great stay at Royalton Punta Cana. We stayed in a Presidential Jacuzzi Two Bedroom Suite Diamond Club. The layout of the room was nice with a king bed, two queens, and a separate living/dining area, and three balconies overlooking the Diamond Club pool. Our butler Antonio was great and attentive. Honestly we didn't have many requests for him but he was helpful in getting a dining reservation on a night with no availability. He checked in every day at least once to make sure we had everything we needed. The restaurants were all OK. The food is good but not great. Service at the restaurants was always great though. And service at the various bars was always good. My only complaint on food service is we had a really hard time ordering food at the Diamond Club Beach Bar one day for lunch, and when we finally got our order what was brought to us wasn't quite right. Diamond Club lounge was a comfortable and cool place to hang out occasionally. The attendants always offered a drink and refills. The snacks were good and there was variety. The pools were all nice and not too crowded most days. They did run out of towels on one day. And on another day they had drained the pools overnight so they were low while they refilled them. The poolside servers came by frequently for drink orders and their service was quick. The water park was ok, but kind of a disappointment. One of my kids was too big for the little kid slides, but too small for the big slides. My other kid is bigger but was afraid of the big slides. Either way the lifeguards wouldn't let them go in to that area at all. They enjoyed the wave pool which we visited every day. We visited the Splash resort multiple times to use the pools and restaurants. Most of the time we decided to walk over because the tram service was inconsistent. One day we forgot something in our room and I walked from one resort to the other and back without ever seeing the tram. Overall the property was nice, the staff were excellent, things were clean, and we only encountered one who had a really hard time understanding English.

Omar was an excellent butler.Made sure we had dinner reservations each night and pointed us to the right people for booking excursions. Beautiful resort. Being haggled and hustled on the beach was frustrating. The Diamond Club food was excellent on the beach. Made it easy with kids.

Great for families
We recently stayed at the Royalton Punta Cana with our 3 boys (ages 8 and 7) and had an excellent time! We stayed in a presidential suite in building 5 and it was very clean and newly remodeled. Victor was the one who cleaned our room everyday and he was excellent! Always leaving fun towel animals on our beds and snacks for the kids. Huge rave to Romeo and Omar who took care of all of our needs during our stay! Would highly recommend them! The resort was beautiful and staff very friendly. The foam party is a must the kids had a blast! The food was not great but not awful. We found the best food to be at the buffet. Great place for families.

Very Enjoyable Vacation
This is a beautiful, well maintained resort. The staff in all areas were superb! Every interaction was friendly, helpful and professional. We were Diamond Club and 'shared' butlers with our son and his family since we traveled together. Omar and Romeo made sure our requests were accommodated satisfactorily. The way they helped with dinner and cabana reservations for the group left us free to simply enjoy the sand and sun. They really worked hard to build a relationship with everyone in the family, including the kids.

Great 2nd visit
We had a great time for our second time back. Restaurant booking was tough but our butler Omar really took care of us, he is top notch! Beach and pool areas were awesome. The Michael Jackson show and the Magic show were awesome as well. Great nightlife. Avoid the Mexican restaurant at Splash, poor service, food was terrible and cold. All and all a great time.
