  Mainly a hit.

  We went to the Royalton for our honeymoon from 30/12/25 - 13/01/25. Firstly, the staff make the hotel the most wonderful place. Antonio Castillo was our butler, & he was tremendous. No ask of him was too big, & he went completely out of his way to make our stay wonderful. He cares about the people he waits on, & we could not be more thankful to have had Antonio as our butler. We went to Dorado for two of our meals, arranged kindly by Antonio, and this was the best food we had. The calamari, and steaks were delicious & it is absolutely the best restaurant at the Royalton. Efri was our waiter both nights, and he is thoughtful, and kind, with such great attention to detail. He is also a credit to the Royalton. The hotel grounds, & restaurant are very well maintained with staff working around the clock. The pools are wonderful, and being right on the beach is such a welcome addition. Omar, Wander, & Solomon are excellent bar staff, bringing a wonderful atmosphere to the pool bar. The buffet restaurant was also excellent, in the 2 weeks we stayed there, there was only one evening which was not to our taste. The food was great, varied, and tasty. On New Year’s Eve we went to the gala dinner which was delicious with extra special desserts. The buffet restaurant frequently had seafood, from crab, to prawns & lobster - it was excellent. There was a few downsides to our stay, firstly the initial room we were given was rusty, and run down. Furniture chipped, stained robes, no hangers, the shower was rusted & full of limescale. Antonio managed to get us the same size room, with better quality furniture, which was much appreciated. Further, we made the resort, and the booking agent, aware we were on our honeymoon but we did not get anything extra special for the room to acknowledge this. It did not feel like a once in a lifetime honeymoon from the resort. Also, despite being told the minibar would be filled daily in the diamond building, it was filled up 3 times for us during the two week stay. There are both relaxing, and party aspects to the hotel. We enjoyed the Diamond pool, which except for two days (due to drunken neighbours), was relaxing, quiet, and we were able to swim. The Diamond bar was also great, & did wonderful lunch time snacks! In terms of value, I think the price we paid was a little more than expected for the hotel - the rooms need an upgrade & we’re feeling tired. As were some of the pool areas with missing, and rusted tiles. If these improvements were made, we would absolutely return to the Royalton and we would want to have Antonio as our butler again - he is 10/10, and an absolute credit to the Royalton Hotel.   1st time revisiting a destination

  This is our second year in a row coming to the Royalton Punta Cana with our friends and family. We love everything about the place. The staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. There is plenty of variety for restaurants, and the buffet is a culmination of all of them. The beach is great, and they have an amazing waterpark for the kids. All in all, this is the first time we have gone back to a place twice, and the reason is obvious. Overall, it's an awesome place and great value. Roland Mazzara (who is part of the Marriott Ambassador team) was simply incredible. He took care of expediting our check-in. Arranged dinner reservations, and when we needed any extra items like surplus towels in the room, he ensured they were delivered.

  Royalton Punta Cana

  Our stay at Royalton Punta Cana was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We loved Royalton Splash so much last year that we decided to come back again — and this time stay on the other side of the resort. The fact that it’s a 2-in-1 resort is a huge bonus, giving you access to even more restaurants, pools, and activities. The location is perfect, being close to the airport, which made arrival and departure easy and stress-free. Despite that, the resort is never too loud and maintains a luxury, relaxed atmosphere throughout the entire property. The service was truly 5-star in every way. The food was excellent with plenty of variety, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the property itself was massive, spotless, and beautifully maintained. There was always something to do, whether you wanted to relax or stay busy. We stayed in a swim-out room, which is an absolute must, especially paired with Diamond Club. It elevated the entire experience and was well worth it — the value for what you get is perfect. A huge shoutout to our butler, Cesar, who was honestly 11/10. He went above and beyond every single day — bringing us drinks while we relaxed in the pool, delivering coffees, booking all of our dinner reservations, and constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Our pool butler Jose was top notch, always attentive and making sure we were taken care of, and cabana girl Maria at the beach was absolutely amazing and made our beach days even better. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend Royalton Punta Cana to anyone looking for a luxury, stress-free getaway. We will definitely be back again!

  Best Butler on the Resort!

  Part 1 I had the pleasure of staying at Royalton at Punta Cana Resort and Casino January 7th through the 12th, 2026. I had the absolute best butler, Antonio Castillo he spoiled me the entire stay. He went OVER and BEYOND for me. No what time or day I reached out for him, he delivered with a smile. I needed things off of the resort and he made it happen, down to an arts and craft tool. Anyone who has Antonio as their butler will be in for a extremely wonderful experience. Well done Antonio. I can't wait for my next trip, I will be requesting you! Thank you for making my 60th Birthday a most memorable one. Part 2 I definitely enjoy all of the Diamond Club Ammenities. I was super excited for the 'Luxury Room' with the swimout, but our room could have used some cosmetic upgrades. Outside of the swimout, there was nothing to write home about the room. There were what looked like permanent stains in the floors, cracked and missing tiles in the shower. Apparently there was an resort wide towel and washcloth shortage, help me understand. Even pool side there was a towel shortage, confusing. The pool side bathroom was out of soap and toilet paper, and that was with an attendant present?? Our last night we had reservations at the Grazzie when we arrived, it was as if they weren't expecting my group (all of my dinners those days were reserved), then we were told that we had to order family style, which was not what anyone wanted. When asked if we could just order individually we were told no. Not very accommodating at all. We were willing to be split up, still No. On a personal note, I would appreciate more of the staff to be bilingual. It's so frustrating when you're not being understood and have to search for a bilingual staff member. My overall rating would be a B+

  Great as a family

  We had an amazing time on our first visit to Punta Cana as a family! The hotel was lovely and quiet during the week. We were extra lucky to have Antonio C. As our butler whom diligently helped me plan my husband's 50th with dinner and decor as well as a spa visit. He went over and beyond twice sure our stay was perfect. We all enjoyed our time there on the beach and at Splash water park. We will definitely be back to soak up some more fun, and will request our dear Antonio!
