    Poor Service

    Very poor Service. Staff absolutely not motivated, Restaurants have worse atmosphere than a train station but more loud! Good variety of food, but not really tasty

    First time to Dominican Republic

    Just returned from a 2 week holiday. We had a fabulous time. The staff were all amazing, friendly, helpful and nothing too much trouble. They are all a real credit to the hotel. Special mention to Kelvin and Antonio our butlers in DC who looked after us, and checked in every day to make sure all our needs were met. The buffet restaurant was the best all inclusive one we have had, we enjoyed lobster, steak, there was always plenty to choose from. We enjoyed the speciality restaurants too, including the ones at Splash hotel, only 1 meal in the Italian in our hotel that was not so good. Despite being careful and not witnessing any hygiene or cleanliness issues we did pick up a 24 hour bug. However I must say the hotel really looked after us, rang to check if we needed medical attention or electrolytes, gave us a special number for room service and sent extra water. This care made all the difference and overall ensured it didn’t impact our holiday too much. The grounds are well kept, the only area we saw that needed attention was the indoor theatre which had some broken seats. We enjoyed the Casino and white parties. We did get roped into the “Prime” selling talk. It was 3 hours rather than 1.5 and we saw 2 other people sign up while we were there, but it wasn’t for us. We are beach fans so spent all our time there. In the DC area. The guys working there were always friendly and helped you find beds. This was our first time in DR and at a Royalton and we had a fantastic time and would come back.

    306 days till the next trip there.

    This was our third year in a row staying at the splash DC with Johnny as our butler. Johnny has been a partner in crime every year, setting us up to have a blast. We were a group of 15 with 6 rooms. He had no problem booking us into all the al a cartes and enjoying the beach bbq at sunset. Anything we needed we just asked. Everyone was helpful, typically there is beach loungers everywhere, our parents needed chairs for sitting in, they never had a problem helping out to provide chairs for us. The pool were very refreshing as the ocean didn’t cooperate for our the last three days. Food was great, buffet had lots of choices.
