  Amazing staff

  Just back from a 10 night stay. It’s been a bit of a mixed trip! We paid for Diamond Club with our agent before we arrived, but unfortunately on arrival they implied we were still standard! After a while they said it was no problem. We were shown to our rooms which were not in the DC blocks..so I feel we were still given our original rooms! Anyway, our butler showed us around and was fairly helpful. Bedrooms are large with a huge queen bed and is really comfortable. Fridge restocked daily and rooms cleaned daily also. Food from the buffet we found fantastic! Great choice of meats and fish freshly cooked in front of you so there’s no fear of uncooked food! The lobster was massive!! There’s just a super choice and the fresh pasta bar was great, you get a huge bowl of piping hot pasta. We ate in the Italian and the steakhouse. Disappointed in both to say the least. I was still eating my starter in the steakhouse when the mains came! Food was rather cold. The Italian was chaotic and they’d clearly lost our reservation! Food at the DC beach bar was quite nice! The DC beach area I must point out is a free for all…we saw lots of different wrist bands using it and no one batted an eye! I would not say DC is worth the money we paid at all. But I suppose you only find out these things after the event and wouldn’t bother in future. Splash water park was great fun! Good choice of different slides and it wasn’t too busy. Well run with plenty of lifeguards around so certainly safe for young families. The beach is stunning. They keep it clean and tidy. So NYE was a total let down. The main entertainment area was ticketed and the cheapest table to reserve for us three was $499!! Absolutely shocking. It sadly poured down all evening so the few uncover places to sit were rammed. We ended up back in our room as there was nowhere else to go! I must say something about the staff. The staff were absolutely amazing! From dining room staff to the cleaners, they were all super friendly and welcoming. Bar staff were good fun too, especially at Dips bar! Fabulous trip to Saona Island. We booked the small group with Melvin, which got you on the beautiful island before all the crowds arrive!! It’s a must. So, would we return here? Sadly not.

  Family vacation

  Antonio our butler was amazing. He went above and beyond to make our experience the best possible experience. Joselito from the diamond club beach area also went above and beyond to make sure our family was taken care of. Now the food on the other hand was not the best quality. It was 15 of us and we struggled most days finding something we enjoyed eating. The steakhouse was a great meal and service. Eddie was great as well. The beach meal with the cabana was also fantastic but other than that, we struggled with the food.

  Fun Family Time

  Friendly staff and good food! Well kept hotel. Loved the morning yoga. Pool could use more seating or maybe a limit to how long towels can remain if unoccupied. Some upgrades only for diamond club which we did not do. We enjoyed our time here.

  Beach Butler

  Joselito, the Diamond Club Beach Butler, was absolutely amazing! Did not matter what time of the day we arrived, he always greeted us with a smile and found us amazing seats. He made our trip stress free! We had been to many other Royaltons and Joselito has by far been the best.

  Wonderful Family trip!!!

  We had a wonderful family trip! Facility and services were great! Romeo made sure that we had everything that we needed. We highly recommended the family bunk bed rooms and Diamond Club! Please request Romeo! He is the best! Family memories!!
