Jan 25, 2026Royalton Punta Cana not worth it
I stayed at the Royalton in Punta Cana for a wedding. I am giving the resort 2 stars because of the beach, pools and the staff. The food ( buffet) and wine were terrible. The room was very dated and smelled of mildew. When we got home our clothes smelled like mildew and we had to wash all of our clothes including the clothes we didn’t wear. Would not recommend this hotel.

Highly recommend upgrading to the Dimond Club and requesting Nazario for your butler. He's absolutely amazing. The past 2 times he has made my birthday so special. Overall, the resort and staff are top notch. We will be heading back January 2027. Can't wait.

An Amazing Stay Made Even Better by Our Outstanding Butler
We had an amazing stay at the Royalton Punta Cana and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and very comfortable, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our trip. The beach was warm, clean, and perfect for swimming and lounging—it felt like a true tropical paradise. A huge highlight of our stay was our butler, Omar. He truly went above and beyond to make our experience special. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Omar made our trip feel effortless and really elevated our entire vacation. Overall, Royalton Punta Cana is a fantastic resort, and we would absolutely recommend it—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Omar as your butler!

Jan 25, 2026Amazing hotel - be cautious of Nexus
Hotel, food, staff, rooms, pool and beach were all a solid 9/10! The "Hideaway" (adults only) side of this very large resort is comparable to some "Secrets" in other countries! Not all of the a la cart restaurants were over the top, but the Dorado was consistently amazing - from eggs benny for breakfast to a variety of steaks for lunch or supper, they never let us down! As for the sales guy at the Royalton Excursions booth in the hotel lobby, and their horrific after sales service, be very cautious, promises are tailored to what you want, bit certainly not what you get! hope you don't have to lodge a complaint or look for them to remedy an error they made,... zero response and no real concern. Hotel Guest services were also greatly disappointed in Nexus and their lack of a response to us being lied to.

Girls Trip
Naz is great. He took care of our whole group, even got a personalized cake for a girl in our group that had her birthday. We had a great room location right next to the pool and ocean. The rooms are very quiet at night and you cannot hear other guests. Highly recommend! Housekeeping came 2 times a day and the rooms stayed very clean! They also decorated our bed with rose petals one night.
