  With wife- great food, great sun, great staff

  Awesome experience . The weight staff were excellent, the room cleaners/housekeeping did an excellent job. Everyone there was professional, the room got cleaned every day, the waiters, and waitresses did an excellent job. I would recommend it to anyone that would like to have an all inclusive destination. Each day we had an opportunity to do an excursion. My wife and I went and enrolled the ATV vehicles and we had a blast. Our children visited before, therefore, they encouraged us to come and experience it for ourselves and so we did and it was an enjoyable experience. we stayed at the Royalton Punta, Cana, and it was one of the best vacations we have taken. The atmosphere was family, friendly, and everyone had good respect for each other space.

  Great resort with excellent service

  We had a great time at the resort. Our son loved the splash park that was at the adjoining resort. The resort was clean, the food at Marche was great, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We stayed with Diamond Club access & our butler, Johnny, was fantastic. He made sure we had everything we needed and surprised us with balloons and rose petals for our anniversary.

  We had an amazing time. The staff were great. We had Johnny as our butler and he was so on top of things. We had cabana poolside and Maria was so fantastic. I’d recommend going for sure! Absolutely going back.

  VIOLENTLY ILL…STAY AWAY

  Let me begin by saying that this turned out to be the worst experience ever. We had travelled on Oct 18-25 to Royalton Punta Cana diamond club with swim out. Had great expectations despite warnings beforehand of people becoming sick. But figured with proper precautions ( using bottled water,stay out of sun, use hand sanitizer always and don’t over indulge with food or drinks) we’d be fine as we always have been when travelling. Boy was I wrong!!! Within 2 days of arriving I became so VIOLENTLY ILL. Never in my life have I been so sick!!! Came on so quick and was so explosive my husband had to go to guest services to request help twice for cleanup and bed linens. No sanitizer was used so my husband had to disinfect floor and bed frame himself. It took 3 days to fully recover. During our stay it became evident that many others were becoming ill as well. In fact 8 of 10 of another group became violently ill. Others in our block expressed they had become very ill as well during same timeframe. Everyone was instructed to fill out forms describing the severity of the illness, where and what we ate prior to the onset of symptoms and hand in to guest services. I ended up having to fill out 2 forms during my stay and others were lined up at the same time to hand in theirs. It was evident there was a problem with so many becoming ill which hindered our enjoyment as we were afraid to eat or drink not knowing source of sickness. When we returned we contacted Sunwing to alert them to the sickness experienced at this resort. When Sunwing contacted Royalton they denied having any knowledge of anyone getting sick at their resort. I had sent pretty graphic pics to Sunwing showing how ill I was and had required housecleaning yet Royalton had no knowledge of sickness? They then denied any knowledge of us filling out any forms but thankfully I had the presence of mind to make a copy which I forwarded to Sunwing. They then refused to acknowledge the form as credible as it had been filled out ourselves as they had requested us to do. What is the point of filling out forms and have them deny any knowledge of illness and having received them. If anyone does hand in any forms maybe do a video as they will not admit to requesting and receiving one!! The beach is terrible with unsightly sand bags, housekeeping wasn’t thorough although we always had lots of towels, no robe or umbrella in room, special dinner at Grazie and Bbq at Dorado was terrible. However food at buffet was ok and service by all especially waiter Radhames was excellent and friendly. Nicaury at the diamond club lounge was lovely and service exceptional always making you feel welcome. Butler service was good and he checked in daily. Rooms are bright but dated and wish they had 2 sinks instead of sharing especially if one person is ill for hygienic reasons. Drinks were always replenished in room fridge and bottled water plentiful. To conclude although we had high expectations especially considering the price we could not have been anymore disappointed If we had to do it all over again I would have listened to the negative reviews warning of sickness spreading throughout the resort and booked elsewhere. Shame on the Royalton denying that anyone was sick and denying having received any forms. Obviously they don’t care about the tourists. I hope that others don’t go through what many of us experienced!!! Hope they get this situation under control. Until they do stay away. Cannot recommend this resort and will never go back.
