  Awful.

  Here is the same review with all bold formatting removed: ⸻ ⭐☆☆☆☆ Unfortunately, this stay has been extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel. 1. Bracelet issue / unfair charge The clasp on my son’s bracelet came off. On the 24th, we went to the front desk specifically to have it fixed properly. Instead of replacing the clasp, staff only tied knots and refused to provide a new clasp. Yesterday, the bracelet fell off and was lost — which was completely predictable given the poor “repair.” When we returned to the front desk to explain what happened, we were told we must pay $150 for the lost bracelet. This is unacceptable. We reported the issue while we still had the bracelet, and the hotel chose a temporary fix that clearly did not hold. This situation is not our fault. 2. Misleading “concierge” / timeshare pressure Kirsy, who presented herself as a concierge, told us she wanted to explain what the hotel had to offer. This turned out to be a misleading tactic to push us into a timeshare presentation. Before the meeting, she repeatedly assured us she would handle all our dinner reservations — something we were relieved about, as the reservation system is a nightmare. The meeting lasted nearly two hours, with heavy pressure to sign up for the Prime Travellers Club. During the presentation, we mentioned the bracelet issue to Adrien, who agreed the charge was absurd and told us he would take care of it. That reassurance ultimately led nowhere. 3. Poor treatment of non–Diamond Club guests Unless you are a Diamond Club guest, you are clearly treated as a lower priority. The difference in service is noticeable and disappointing for a resort of this level. 4. Family suite with missing bedding We booked a Family Suite. On our first night, our children’s bed had no sheets. I spoke to two different staff members, and the sheets never arrived. Our children had to sleep using towels instead of bedding. This is unacceptable under any circumstances. Overall, this hotel lacks accountability, transparency, and basic service standards. Between the misleading sales tactics, poor customer service, and unresolved issues, this stay has been far from relaxing. I would not return, nor would I recommend this resort to families.

  Check in is a shambles - awful 1st impression!

  I’ve been at the resort for an hour & that was the worst check in I have ever experienced. No hi, no welcome to Royalton, no welcome drink, just handed a sheet with Diamond Club details, no care given to explain what it actually is. Couldn’t find our booking until we had to ask another staff member to help to find our booking as the staff member just kept asking when we had made the booking & advised April 2025 numerous times. Deposit taken & advised if we lose our wrist bands is $150 charge? Never heard anything so ridiculous in my life! First impressions are not great at all!

  RUN RUN RUN.

  RUN as fast as you can away from this place. 2 stars at best. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. they bait and switched me and charged me $50 for a bottle of solarcaine and wouldn’t let me leave until I paid it. Complete craphole. Rooms disgusting, garbage everywhere. Food is decent and that’s about it. I travel often and never leave reviews. I’m so disgusted with this place. Never again will I go to the DR!!

  A perfect Christmas Holiday on Royalton Bàvaro

  We totally recommend. One of our (family of 4 with 14 and 18 yrs sons) best and hassle free DR All Inclusive holidays and we have done quite a few. Still a couple of days left of the 2-week trip but I feel it’s safe to write a review. Friendly staff. Good variation and quality in food, specially seafood is recommended. Even the included Spanish wines were surprisingly good. We didn’t plan for it but ended up booking with Diamond Club, as we got an offer. Our butler Ryan was a fun guy and made all the reservations etc we wished. I would say that DC made our holiday better, partly because we like to go everywhere on site without limitations. As DC guests we could visit the Splash Water Park by the Royalton Punta Cana, down the Memory lane (we stayed there a couple of years ago). Only 10 min walk on the beach or a shuttle from Royalton Bavarò. We made even diving trips to Bayahibe/Catalina Island (we had booked them beforehand). Compared with the entertainment on resorts we have been to, some of the bands and artists here were amazingly professional. Good gym and workout classes. Our youngest son could practice soccer. Beautiful gardens with lazy river, nice beach even though on the windier side of the island. Totally happy with everything. Not a hint of upset stomach for any of us. Sure, the property is a little run down in some places (the staff was making repair/paint jobs here and there), sometimes the service at restaurants is a bit chaotic but nothing to worry about. We weren’t disturbed or disappointed by any staff members - only by some noisy adult hotel guests. But that’s also included in the concept…

  Tropical Christmas 2025

  My family chose a different Christmas this year and we went to the Royalton Bávaro. I choose rooms with the swim out option and everyone loved these. The food for all meals was very good and we used the room service often. The restaurants for dinner were very good and the were different types of cuisines to choose from. The location was well kept and the house keeping staff was very good also. Everyone working on site was lovely and helpful. I absolutely must thank and praise Adoni our Experian concierge for all of his help. He made our trip a success. We had to request changes in our plans and he was always able to take care of the request. Sometimes my requests were short notice due to things that happened and he never failed to be able to come up to a resolution for my family. There were six of us and Adoni was able to make all of us happy. He truly made our trip a success and I thank him again. I will speak of Adoni when I tell everyone about my. Adoni- Thank you!!!!!!!
