An other dominican trip
Overall a good experience. Diversified food selection, good staff, the ration beach front and pools are suffiscient for the amount of guests. Diamond club with butle service is a great addition to the experience. Angelo tended greatly to our needs and dinner bookings, good personalized aproach. 2 cons: -don't waste your time with the "welcome gift presentation", "not a time share" but an other form of it. -an other resort plagued by selfish guests that just leave their towels on chairs for the day. Their souls can burn in hell.

Good time
First off, this review is from a Diamond club perspective. Joel was our butler. When you arrive at the resort, they find out your diamond and then you’re carded over to a separate lobby. There, they will check you in get your bracelets and you’re ready to go. Our room we had had a swim out pool and faced a wall. It seemed a little odd to us as far as room goes and turns out it was a handicap room. The next day, Joel made sure we were moved to a regular room with a swim out pool facing the actual pool area. It had a tub in it and was wonderful. Our bar was stocked regularly with the drinks that I requested. The shower was wonderful. Had two heads plus a handheld. The room was always cold, which is to my liking. We were in building 19. Joel would make our reservations for the restaurants and always came through with seating for six at our table. My favorite restaurant was the Brazilian steakhouse. The meats there were very very good. The actual steakhouse itself we weren’t too pleased with the meats didn’t seem as good as the Brazilian steakhouse. The Japanese restaurant Zen was also very good. We went there twice. The Italian was good, especially the pizza. However the pizza we got from room service was not good at all. The buffet for the diamond club was very convenient and close to the diamond club buildings. There they did have cooked to order eggs, omelettes, and many other different choices on the water. We enjoyed the diamond club swimming area and rented the cabanas every day. The service there was wonderful especially with Juan Carlos. The beach itself isbeautiful good saying good water and had a lot of fun on the beach itself too. We were definitely go back again and do diamond club. We had some friends who were not diamond club while we were there and they did have problems getting reservations for the restaurants.

Relaxing week away
Review traveled Mother Daughter Feb 13th to the 20th. Diamond club building 19. As with any resort nothing is ever perfect. We did not get the room we wanted or paid for however our Butler Joel was able to get us moved as soon as he could. We had a couple issues with the room that he was right on top of to correct. The resort was beautiful. The daily activities and entertainment was awesome. The food was typical resort food. We stuck with teppenyaki and pasta station at buffet. Diamond club wings were the best. Beach is beautiful. Mudslides were our go to. Every resort has its issues however it was the employees that made our stay what it was. Alfonso always looked for us to make sure we were okay. He went over and above for us. We will never forget you. Rosanna from the Diamond club lounge. Your cappuccino's were delicious and you always had a smile. Lastly Joel. We are going to miss your morning texts and conversations. Thank you for being so attentive and going way over and above for us. Anyone traveling here. Highly recommend you request Joel as your butler. Overall. It was the most relaxing vacation we have had. Thank you Royalton. We will miss you. But we will be back.:-)

Mixed Experience – Great Entertainment, but Service and Logistics Fell Short
Entertainment was great, food is good, but service, crowds, and amenities were frustrating to say the least. We arrived late at the resort. Only one person was working the front desk, leading to huge lineups that took forever to clear. We specifically requested a room with two queen beds for our family of three, but they assigned us to a king and said we'd have to wait until the next day to switch. Not ideal after a tiring arrival. No WiFi was available until the next morning. When it finally came on, speeds in the room were decent at around 40 Mbps. For the late arrivals, bar food is available in the nightclub. Many times our room wasn't ready until 5 pm (even after asking), and despite requesting a blanket four times during our stay, it never arrived. Housekeeping felt inconsistent overall. If you want faster service or things to actually get done, grab one of the Diamond butlers, they seemed far more competent and responsive than standard staff. The resort layout consists of two long buildings divided into sections each with staircases and elevators, but the staircases seemed poorly placed, everyone in our building ended up using the service staircase instead. The quality of the food was generally good, especially once you figure out the rhythm: breakfast on one side of the resort, lunch on the opposite. Dining reservations through the app were nearly impossible to secure for normal times, no matter how many days in advance or what time of day I tried. Zen à la carte restaurant was a complete miss—three-quarters of the menu items were unavailable, but they only informed us 30 minutes after ordering. We had to bail entirely. In comparison, Zen Teppanyaki was much better. Every restaurant, food truck, and café bar had constant lineups. The café bar was frequently out of key ingredients. Service across the board was extremely slow. Bar service was subpar, drinks were basically ingredients slopped into a glass (or worse, a plastic cup for a martini). No real care or presentation. The beach is part of Bavaro Beach, so the sand is nice, but it's very narrow compared to neighboring resorts. There weren't enough beach loungers or parasols, and seaweed was an issue, they only cleared it every other day. Crowds everywhere made it hard to relax. Lazy river was a nice touch, but you have to hunt for a floatie yourself, so most people simply end up wondering up and down the river. Entertainment was a definite highlight! The nightly shows were very enjoyable, classic themes like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Lion King, 80s hits, etc. Daily pool parties, including the foam party, were excellent. The White Party on the beach was perfect. However, the main shows are held in the lobby area with very limited seating. If it rains, there's basically no seating at all. Upgrading to Diamond Club might be worth it just for better service and fewer hassles. That said, the constant lines, slow service, reservation struggles, and understaffed feel made it frustrating at times. It seems like service levels in the Dominican have dropped quite a bit lately. If you're looking for a low-stress, seamless all-inclusive, this might not be it. Would I return? Probably not without some major improvements, but parts of it were fun.
