Nov 02, 2026Royalton bavaro
I have just returned from a week at the royalton Bávaro, and we had a fantastic time. The hotel is a large complex, we stayed as diamond club and had a lovely room. The amenities are well thought out and provide what you would expect from a 5 star resort. There are multiple restaurants and bars, particular favourites were Hunters steak restaurant and zen tapenyaki. We spent most of our time at the diamond club pool and bar during the day, they did lovely food and wine. As part of the diamond club we had a butler Luis armando who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Luis booked our restaurants every night, attended to any additional requests we had for food and drink in our room and was always on hand to support any queries we had. I would definitely go back and would request Luis again, thank you Luis!! There is lots of entertainment in the evening at the main lobby bars or if you prefer something more relaxed you can enjoy a quieter drink at the bar outside grazie, where Angel will look after you and keep you entertained, again he went above and beyond to provide us with drinks! As a special treat we got Luis to book us a meal on the beach where we were looked after by Raphael, again fantastic service and attentive to our needs. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel and in particular the aforementioned staff that really went above and beyond.

Diamond Club review
Royalton Bavaro is my favourite resort in Punta Cana. This time we tried Diamond Club for the first time and I highly recommend. Our butler Eduardo made the experience unforgettable, he was extremely attentive from the moment we arrived always making sure we had dinner reservations and having everything we needed.

Royalton Bavaro = Royal treatment!!
This was my 4th trip to a Royalton property and it did not disappoint. We booked the Royalton Bavaro in the Dominican Republic. The resort is absolutely beautiful and stays well kept. The food was amazing, as usual. I highly recommend upgrading to the Diamond Club. It includes an upgraded ocean view room, premium in room drinks and a butler for the extent of your stay. Your butler will tend to you the whole time including making dinner reservations, reserving beach chairs, making reservations for any excursions you may want to do, etc. Please, if you go to Royalton Bavaro, request Luis Armando as your butler! He went above and beyond all expectations for my wife and I as we were celebrating our anniversary while there. He is an amazing man and will see to it that you are taken care of and no details are forgotten. Royalton Bavaro- BOOK THE TRIP!!!

Nov 01, 2026Runaway DON’T GO HERE
Terrible “resort”. Rooms smell like a water treatment facility. Hair all over the bathroom and sink in our room at check in. My other family members room had underwear in the drawers. Floors are gross and grimey. Their website says Coke products but they ONLY serve Pepsi. Food is cold and rubbery like they bought food from dollar tree and put it in a microwave. No signs anywhere. No menus of what drinks they have like wine and beer. Room service is 45-90 minutes. Then they won’t just give you the food. They sit at your door and wait for you to give back the food covers; what the hell is that. 13 of my family here and less than 6 hours in and all of us would prefer to be back at work and not have wasted 15-18k on a trip to a rundown “motel” that serves food from dollar tree. Don’t waste your money.

Worst
Terrible stay from start to finish. Poor hygiene: cockroaches everywhere, algae in the pool, staff chasing a rat during breakfast buffet. Numerous complaints and management did nothing, awful attitude from staff all around. Half of the restaurants were closed despite explicitly enquiring about this prior to booking and being assured everything is open. Impossible to book any speciality restaurant (which is included in the price) without bribing staff. People trying to sell junk everywhere from timeshares to counterfeit cigars.
