We had an amazing time at the Royalton Bavaro. Our butler Jorge Mata was awesome, he made sure we had reservations at a different restaurant every night and was great about working around our schedule. We would definitely go back and have Jorge Mata as our butler again.

This resort has potential but needs a lot of help!
This was the 11th time we had stayed at an all-inclusive resort, and by far the worst experience of them all. The closet in the room was literally falling apart every time you closed the door, and the safe didn't work. Four out of seven days, I had to chase down bathcloths and towels (housekeeping took the soiled ones but didn't replace them with fresh ones). There were constantly dirty dishes and glasses left over from room service in the hallways (for days). The food was fair at best, unless you like bones in your Chicken parmesan. Unless you used your building concierge, there was no way to book a reservation at their specialty restaurants. The free Wi-Fi was unavailable, which is ironic because all the employees were constantly streaming videos every time we saw (most) of them. The staff at the martini bar was great! (The only reason for the 2-star rating.) If it wasn't for them, the trip would have been a total disappointment. The shining light was the last day, when, apparently, corporate executives appeared, and then, for the first time all week, it was run like a professional experience we had all paid for.

The diamond club was amazing. And we stayed for 2 weeks. Both of our butlers were fantastic - Francisco and Jesus. They made sure our reservations were made and went above and beyond. Fernando and Raymer the diamond club beach servers were such hard workers and provided amazing service.

Family Friendly vacation
We had a an amazing time as a family at the resort. The beach was so beautiful and close to the diamond club pool- which was where we spent most of our time. There was lots for the kids to do and the resort was very family friendly. We loved the nightly activities for the kids followed by the live shows- they even had a production of the Lion King! We especially were quite impressed with the service of Jesus- he took care of us from the time we arrived until after we left- even checked with us to see that we arrived home safely. He was truly dedicated to doing his best in his role and was kind, friendly and detail oriented. We’re going to miss seeing him and his smile on our morning walks to the Oceanside restaurant and our golf cart rides!
