  Perfect combination of relaxation and pampering

  First of all Jorge our butler made this trip perfect! The diamond club was a surprise gift for my boyfriend for his birthday and we sincerely appreciate our Butler Jorge for going above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of on the front end! All we had to do was show up. He did not miss a beat and made sure he was in constant communication and present. The whole hotel staff was nice and accommodating I highly recommend if you choice DR stay here and if you can splurge a little go Diamond and tell Jorge Hi!!!!

  Fun family stay with great service and friendly smiles

  They were helpful but recognized that we wanted our space and privacy. Check in and out seemed more complicated than it needed to be, but the lounge and snacks went a long way when we were hungry and tired. Most of the hotel was very clean and in good shape, especially considering the intense humidity and proximity to the beach. The only areas unclean were due to fellow guests who left food outside of their doors. Great value for the money!

  Terrible

  Horrible service…for our 4 days stay, our concierge came to the room, late at night, to advise they will assist with our stay. We were ignored for the rest of the trip. Unable to make reservations for anything. We only had room service for the entire stay.

  Good stay

  Dodgy start but got lots better. Check in was quick and easy, room was ok but shower didn’t work properly which they sorted very fast. Booking the restaurants through there app is very tricky and ruined the start of this holiday for me. It did improve but still not impressed. The buffet though is outstanding so no big deal I guess. There is a lovely beach here and you also have access to Splash next door and all its restaurants and bars. Weather is funky here. You can get a monsoon for a few minutes followed by the beautiful Caribbean sunshine. Always warm so the rain can be a relief. Most of the staff are fantastic although you can see a few who appear to question their life choices. On the whole excellent

  Not 5 star

  We arrived at the resort and had to queue up even tho we had checked in online. We were then kept waiting for around 2 hours to get our luggage to our room. The overall decor of the hotel is very dated and worn down. The food was adequate, the drink was good except we constantly had to substitute what we wanted for what was available. The reception staff were hostile and often lied to us when we had issues. There was many H&S issues especially dangerous to children with rusty metal exposed and sheet metal broken which could cause serious injury. We had issues with toilets not flushing, a leak in the roof which took 8 hours to be investigated, then a man came with a mop to mop the roof space, I looked in the roof space and sore old towels up there. There was a constant musty/mold smell in rooms. The bar staff and reception staff was very good, the entertainment team started off very poor but improved over our 3 week stay. The water in whole blocks was turned off for the day without notice, we was unable to flush toilets or wash which lead to hygiene concerns. The management team when we finally got hold of them listened and wrote down all issues but did not return with an explanation. We stay at Royalton splash previously which was a fantastic stay, but the bravaro was nowhere near the experience we had at the splash. A few members of staff to name would be Daniel, Gustavo and Nesto in the beach restaurant area. The pool bar staff was very good, the lobby bar staff was also very good, Omar, Alexander and Yamani, also the waitresses in the lobby was excellent.
