    Great Location. Terrible Food and Mediocre Staff.

    Property: Beautiful, beach and Deep Bay are gorgeous. The rooms were clean and well kept. The security was visibly present and we felt safe at the resort. The recreation at the beach were also very nice and included. Our room was on the first floor with a swim out plunge pool, IT WAS VERY LOUD at night when people were coming back from late night drinks. I had to start wearing ear plugs to avoid being awakened at 2am every night. Staff: We were Diamond Club and had butlers, they were very nice, well trained and very helpful: they took care of us. Staff elsewhere was not great. Waitstaff was only occasionally friendly and attentive, more typically they were not. My family and I had several times when the staff just seemed annoyed and they were not at all interested in providing service. Food: Bad. Just not at all good. 3 out of 4 of our family got sick by the second day and it was food poisoning (one of our party is a physician, it was food poisoning). We also talked to many other guests during our stay that were also sick! The 4th got sick on the last 2 days - it was inescapable. The quality of the food was not good either. 1 or 2 items during our week were actually enjoyable, typically food was not prepared to the proper temperature (which upon reflection, I'm glad some meats were overcooked, even if it made them tough to actually eat). This resort has food handling and preparation issues. This was perhaps the most disappointing part of our stay. Lacking service can be overlooked if the food was good and it just wasn't. The sports bar was an incredible letdown. 1 beer. Yes, 1 beer at a sports bar and while there were other drinks, when you want to watch a game (which we did during college football playoffs), I feel like some beers and more TV's is kind of key to a sports bar. Overall: We got stranded on our final night due to an FAA airspace closure that prevented our flight and we needed to extend our stay by one night. They could not handle that at the resort, we were required to book our extra night online. It kind of bugs me that the front desk can't figure that out and help us while we are standing right there in front of them. Everything on property was handled on paper - reservations for restaurants, reserving a cabana, everything was paper logs and triple receipts - it is now 2026...seriously? When we settled up at the end of our stay, our very nice desk agent, verbally reviewed our charges, added them on a calculator and then processed our credit card (everything was on paper, we didn't get an itemized receipt). I would not recommend this resort, while the location is perfect and the property is beautiful, there are much better places to spend money.

    Do not stay here

    This was the worst resort i have ever stayed in . I am a Marriott bonvoy elite memeber and i have Stayed at Royalton in Jamaica and this was not comparable at all . First of all the room was full of mold and the ceiling was falling . The room also smelled of mold . We asked to move and the manager Kimberly said there were no other rooms available to move to . Kimberly was very unprofessional, rude and did not care about or needs. We had a large group and everyone had issues with there room . Second the food was digesting. Most days it was resused from the day before . Nothing was good in fact my stomach was upset the entire time . Even the restaurants you have to book were nasty . No flavor at all . The staff were rude . All of them . Literally not enjoyable . There was hardly anyone pumping the resort up . It was very dry . We have 2 days left and decided to go to the Royalton Chic to finish out our vacation . I will Not be back here ! As a proud elite member i have Always been treated with respect and this is the first place that customer service was not valued . My husband and I will not be back here .

    Maliki is the best and made our trip so memorable

    Maliki was wonderful and a great asset to the resort!!!! He made the trip! The rooms however could use some fixing up and the room cleaning staff could do a little better. Other than that it has been a wonderful experience!
