  Do not stay here

  Where to even begin... First the good. We were in diamond Club and the Butler service was outstanding. Highly recommend this feature. Also, the grounds and the pool and the beach area are beautiful. That's it for the good. The food was awful to mediocre at best. Every restaurant, every meal. I think I've lost weight on this trip which is nice. Most of the service staff at the restaurants are apathetic and don't show up very often. Some of them are good, not fair to say they're all like that, but more often than not that was our experience. The rooms... Not maintained very well, a lot of little things were wrong or broken, and in and of themselves would not bother me, but it is indicative of a bigger systemic issue with management. This place was made very poorly and cheaply, super thin walls, we heard our neighbors all the time. And they weren't yelling they were just talking regularly. I know this because one of them woke up coughing in the middle of the night and it was like he was in the room with us. Also, all the floors are tiled, not carpeted which I totally understand because it's the humid Caribbean, however, as a result it echoed loudly anytime somebody walked down the hallway or even spoke in the hallway. Luckily, everybody went to sleep around the same time we did and nobody kept us up at night. Overall we enjoyed Antigua but would not stay here again and do not recommend it.

  Amazing experience at the gym!!

  It was a great experience. It was extremely clean and had every piece of equipment that I needed. It was nicer than a lot of the gyms back home in Canada. There were always fresh towels, water, and sanitizer wipes. The gym has a treadmill, weights, barbells, kettlebells, stretching room, and more. Jameel and the other trainers were extremely friendly and uplifting during my 6 days I worked out there. The staff does a great job and even though I was on vacation I found myself in that gym for over an hour each day. 10/10 would recommend.

  My daughter's wedding held at the Royalton on 23rd November

  Beautifully laid out resort with some great amenities for children and adults. Great entertainment from the Vibes team. Some very friendly staff, especially a server called Chelsea who was very attentive and had a great sense of humour. There was a great variety of food to be eaten in the buffet area but unfortunately most of the time the meals were cold and too salty for my taste. There are some serious maintenance issues especially with the strong smell of damp and mold in the shower, needs an extractor fan. Dirty glass doors as you enter the buffet eating area, needs to be cleaned more regularly. Dead flies hanging on the lampshades in the buffet dinning area. Paint left on the windows glass in the foyer on all floors outside the lift and on all of the railings on the balconies, even the tops of the trees had paint in them. More attention to details needs to be spent on cleaning of the rooms and to ensure sheets are ironed, also to make sure sufficient robes and towels are left in the rooms. The biggest complaint I have is that my daughter Shamilla chose this hotel to get married in. Despite a year of planning her wedding and holding zoom meetings and phone calls with her personal wedding planner, the 2 hotel wedding planners and the manager of the hotel Frederick, who never attended any of these planned meetings, and despite the fact that my daughter brought 63 of her guest to stay at the hotel, the service she initially received was appalling and a disgrace. From the disrespectful reception at the checking desk, where we were ignored for about 5 minutes whilst the staff chatted to themselves, the room she and the groom was initially allocated with twin beds and a bad smell, with a view looking onto rocks. She was moved 3 times and lost her wedding shoes in the move. Thank God for Carl, acting manager, filling in for the elusive Frederick, for coming to our rescue. He listened to our complaints and pulled out all stops to get my daughter's room changed to what she should have had in the first place. A bridal suite with 1 bed for a newly wed couple to share, and with all of the trimmings all newly wed deserved. However, despite all of the above my daughter's wedding day went off perfectly. The hotels wedding planners ensured the terraced and all the glass doors were cleaned and all of the chairs were beautifully dressed. It was a perfect end to a most glorious day.

  Love it here

  The gym at royalton I love it the most .. really friendly staff and helpful too .. spent Time with jameel from the who showed me a couple of movements.. one day i will be as Big as him!
