    Great place to come for vacation

    Shanice and Zo are great with the butler service they provide . They go above and beyond for their guests, The service is the best out of any resort we have been to. I would definitely recommend coming to this resort with the friendly staff and amazing views !!!!! The nightly shows are great with mojitos.. Would definitely come back Antigua is by far my favourite destination!!!!!!

    Relaxing couples vacation for Ann

    Think twice before booking

    I’m here with my family which is lovely. But the resort is definitely not 5 star, at a push a 3 star. The cost was expensive as we paid for the diamond club experience. What a complete waste of money. We have had nothing but cock ups with our butlers booking meals and cabanas. The cabanas have had water level dropping to an unusable level on one of the days. They also told us they had reserved number 3 and when we got there and unpacked to relax we were told to move to number 8 in the standard area even though we are diamond. Which wasn’t a problem had they sent us to the correct one in the first place. The past 6 days the ladies toilets had broken flush and the tissue and poo piled up all day to be cleared overnight just to repeat the problem the following day. It’s been disgusting. Today finally a man was there to fix it, but it should be dealt with immediately in a 5 star resort. The cleanliness in the rooms has been poor. The majority of the staff are grumpy and treat everything as an inconvenience and are so laid back they move in slow motion. I know this all sounds like we’re fussy but we’re not. I’m smiling constantly at them and being polite but it makes no difference. There is some lovely staff, Casford, Anya, Stephanie and another lady that I can’t remember her name ( sorry). The buffet is average but the staff avoid offering drinks. They bring water but if you want wine or anything else you have to ask, it’s never offered even though it’s all inclusive. You can’t have a latte or similar at breakfast you have to go to a separate coffee shop. We had a meeting with the manager to discuss our issues but nothing has happened to improve things. The mess up with the cabanas which cost an additional $120 dollars per day has gone on our invoice on our room screen even though we didn’t get to use it fully on one of the days . You’d think they would give it free or a reduction as a goodwill gesture but that has not happened. There are so many other issues I haven’t mentioned and problems with rooms , fans not working, the noise, broken doors, staff shouting at each other in the corridors, the list goes on. Basically it’s not worth its money. Managers don’t seem to care. Fingers crossed our last 3 days are good.

    7 days Royalton Antigua vacation in December 2025

    One of the best locations in Caribbean. We usually go twice a year to Caribbean resorts and mostly interested in the clean beach, white sand and crystal-clear quiet water. This was our first time in Antigua and we were not disappointed. One of the best quiet and beautiful, picturesque settings surrounded this Deep Bay beach which is less than half a mile long. Royalton property was also very clean, with the enough stoned (cool even on the sun that could walk barefooted) paths to walk, especially beautiful at night with lights and quiet music. We felt very safe, no one bothered us on the beach, no locals, no other hotel guests. We felt like we are on the island with our private beach. Only Royalton is on this small beach surrounded by large hills. There are plenty of Umbrellas and where to lay down. The huge plus - no need to show room key for towels, you can have as many towels as you like. Another plus - room key is on your wrist - no worries to lose it or keep it in your pocket. Room is ok, nothing fancy or extra but very clean. I like to have a quiet room so for that definitely recommend avoiding ocean view (and pay extra) but instead ask for the room "garden view" which is actually facing a very high green hill. If you are a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member - Vanessa was very helpful and I could text her any time. Also, you may get points for your stay which is an extra bonus :-) The only thing what was not great - dining experience. The first couple of days Buffet was limited with choices. For example, I like tomatoes but there were no tomatoes at all but it improved with the variety each day even having Ox Tails one night. The restaurants were not impressive , much space to improve their quality and assortments. we tried Italian and Caribbean but decided to stick to buffet. All in all, it was a great vacation, and we didn't want to leave.

    Staff went above to make our stay comfortable

    The resort had everything we needed. Our butlers coco and Brandon were so attentive and took care of everything we needed. They made sure to reach out daily to work on reservations at restaurants, romantic beach dinner for the couple in our group, and even arranged us to meet with the head chef at the resort to discuss our Halaal meat requirement which they accommodated. Chef almonte made sure to have Halaal meat for us everyday. He sent a person to the market to ensure we had lamb chops. Ribeye and chicken and personally met us at each restaurant to prepare our food the way we liked. He went above and beyond. All three of the above mentioned staff members deserve a raise!!! I would return because of the special treatment form the above people! Thanks
