Jun 13, 2025Average hotel with less than average service.
Hotel was in a decent area. But no amenities. The front desk staff were rude and spoke badly about people in Spanish when they thought we couldn’t understand. Also they were racist; hassling colleagues of color, but never questioning our white colleagues. Unfortunately I won’t use this hotel again.

It was decent. The room was great and staff was nice. Beach very pretty. Other than that, the place was packed with events and there was not enough space at the pool for these people. The lobby bar is underwhelming, so is the food. That said, we had a good time. I'd stay next door at the Fairmont next time.

My friend and I were visiting for the weekend after a rough travel experience getting to Puerto Rico. The moment we arrived, everything changed for the better. We were warmly welcomed by Javier at the front door, who helped us store our luggage—he was friendly and super helpful, setting the tone right away. At check-in, Nestor, the Chief Concierge, completely turned our mood around. He was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. His professionalism and warmth were unmatched. Down by the pool, Jeni, the poolside server, truly delivered some of the best hospitality we’ve ever experienced. She checked in on us consistently and made sure we had everything we needed, always with a smile and a great attitude. The hotel grounds and rooms were spotless, and the overall atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. What started as a stressful trip quickly became a magical getaway thanks to the amazing staff. Highly recommend!

** GREAT TIME
What can I say? Well first I’d like to give a special thank you to the wait staff that greeted us every morning with smiles and warm welcomes. Wanda, Jamie, Emmanuel and Rafael, we will always be grateful for your warm and friendly hospitality. Our room was clean, the view was beautiful. Happy hour was great! The bartenders were kind, quick, polite and patient. We travel to PR from time to time and will most likely stay at the Royal Sonesta in the future. Thank you all for your hospitality once again. You are greatly appreciated:)

Awesome experience
Wonderful stay— from the on site restaurants, to the staff, to the room anmmenities and cleanliness. We had wonderful service and food at breakfast every morning at Aleli. Drinks and lunch by the pool or beachside, and cocktails at night. A short walk down the beach or quick uber to other restaurants. We came during the week— not too many kids, not super crowded— noise level was appropriate/ not too loud no matter the time of day. Highly recommend and would definitely come back.
