What We Love
- It's an all-inclusive family fiesta on the beach with everything you want - and more.
- The kids club with buckets of activities and the Noah's Ark waterpark for splishy-splashyness.
- Descending into blissdom during a stress-smashing massage at the spa.
- The relaxing pool for the adults where doing absolutely nothing is the main activity.
Things to Know
- The airport is just 15 minutes from the airport. You'll have a cocktail before you can say "beach."
- Don't miss horseback riding and whale watching between December and April. Bucket Listers, for sure.
- Taking a boat ride out to get a gander of El Arco is a must-do. (No, really, it is.)
- Bring your own thermal cup to the pool - they'll fill it. Bottoms up, beach lovers.

Significant Health Code Concerns and Unacceptable Food Quality
My recent stay at Royal Solaris, Los Cabos, was severely disappointing, primarily due to major issues with the dining services that raised serious health and safety flags. The location was great. The staff were kind, though many struggled with the English language. Because the resort is small, it was very family-friendly for those with young children. However, the food quality throughout the resort was very poor, a sentiment that only worsened as we observed concerning food handling practices. The main buffet appeared to have nonexistent temperature control protocols. Steam trays were frequently left off entirely, leaving hot food at unsafe lukewarm temperatures. Most alarming was the handling of meat at live cooking stations. We witnessed raw meat left out on an unheated spit for hours at a time. Staff would carve slices from this lukewarm meat and cook it on a flat top, a process that does not guarantee the prevention of bacterial growth. Beyond the safety issues, the service was lacking. Many food stations were not replenished after the initial rush of dinner guests, leaving latecomers with minimal options. The specialty à la carte restaurants, which typically offer a superior experience, were only marginally better and failed to deliver the expected quality. We observed items, including dessert, being brought directly from the main buffet line to the Mexican à la carte restaurant tables. On our final day, we witnessed kitchen staff washing fresh produce in the bottle washing station near the pool area—an unsanitary practice that confirmed our fears about the resort's hygiene standards. Until management addresses these critical health and safety concerns and drastically improves food preparation and handling standards, I cannot recommend staying here and I believe WestJet should re-evaluate this as a WJ Vacation option.

Great pools & rooms, below average food
Travelling as a two couples from Canada, I would rate this as a very average all inclusive getaway compared to my other experiences. Pros: rooms were spacious and well cleaned, adults only pool area was lovely, drinks and bar services were good, main pool area was enjoyable, good access to beach for those wanting to brave the waves and current, easy check in process, a very short and cheap taxi ride to the main square nearby which has lots of restaurants, shopping, and the art show on Thursdays. Cons: Although the buffet had a lot of variety, most of the food was bland or soaked in butter. There were some highlights - breakfast seemed to be one of the better done meals along with a taco station that operated every meal of the day. The other buffet choices however had little variation or taste, and were often mis-labeled or unlabeled all together which could be problematic for those who aren't as adventurous with eating. If you went right when the buffet opened we found it best where as if you went a few hours into service they had run out of many things (ex. cheese or fresh onions and pico for the tacos). Sometimes it seemed as if when they ran out of a main dish in the buffet they just tossed out whatever they had in the fridge as it didn't match the other things out. For the a la carte restaurants we were limited to three for our stay which is similar to many other resorts however we could never get a reservation earlier than 9pm. The booking was done through a resort app and there must have been some undisclosed tier system as when booking opened for us daily in the morning there were never any other times for 4 people. When we went to the a la carte restaurant there was never more than 1/3 of the tables sat so we weren't sure if it was a kitchen capacity or hiring employee issue. The food even at these places was nothing great compared to my other 5 Mexico stays. Personally I wouldn't go back but if you are looking for a very average and cheaper resort with good pools, a beach, and nice rooms and don't care much about food then it's a possibility.

Arturo is the best!
Arturo was our favorite! His sunrise yoga was amazing. The pool stretching, and Zumba were fun and when I saw him in the gym, he was helpful. He’s friendly, and we really enjoyed all of the activities he offered. Huge thanks to Arturo for making the trip feel so relaxed.
