SCAM
I’m going to dive right in - any response by their management account to address my displeasure is disingenuous and probably pre-written. So I’m going to call that out first, they don’t care they just want to make it SEEM like they care. Plus , México is a third world country, they scam Americans any way that they can, this isn’t An opinion , this is fact. The staff hates Americans - you can tell by their body language, this place IS NOT A HOTEL OR A RESORT. They give you a description that it operates as one, the buffet is high school cafeteria food, so they cut corners and save money from that, the alcohol is probably well-grade alcohol. It’s literally a building that has cheap food, bad customer service , below average amenities and you are given the bare minimum because their whole business model is to scam Americans out of money, so what they’ll do is ACT and PRETEND to give you the bare minimum you sign up for and THATS IT. Nothing more nothing less. Royal Solaris , means if you stay here, you’re royally fd. Do not come here and expect anything luxury or anything nice, it is a building to funnel Americans out of money. That’s their business , nothing more nothing less. They also have TIME SHARE operation here, you all know how that goes. So yeah, this isn’t a hotel , I expect a response from their management team On here to mitigate damage control, I’m here to tell people, there’s tons of other hotels and resorts besides this one that’s much better bang for your buck. This place cuts corners on EVERYTHING, because their business model is to funnel extra money out of customers to make up for profit. Save your money do not come here. Oh - and they also have a convenient QR code placed on the front desk to TripAdvisor for reviews because that gives them an angle to respond to bad reviews and discredit your experience. So before you leave a bad review just know, they have a team that will work on discrediting it. Nothing is real here.

Overall, we loved our time there and will be coming back because of the amazing staff!
Our personal butler, Ross and our personal waiter by the pool, Lazaro were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay there amazing! Our bartenders at the Premiere Lounge, Isaac and Kalimba we also amazing! Our room was spectacular with full oceanfront! The service we received was top notch! Some of the food was excellent, some good, some ok, and some not so good.

Paradise
My daughter and I go every year and always have a great vacation. This was our 24th year going to Royal Solaris and although the hotel is under new management, it is still a great hotel. We would especially like to thank Samantha at the front desk for getting us the room we needed. She is the best person to see if there is anything you need. Also Ulyses, the best server at the buffet for breakfast, he has a great memory, he spots you and already he has your order ready. Angel for dinner is also a great server, very attentive. Claudia, the pool server is very attentive, always makes sure you have something to drink. Also Rosalinda, she was our lovely lady who works so hard cleaning, for housekeeping. You are all appreciated and missed.

Great stay
Coming to the end of 11 night stay. I've enjoyed my time here. Easily the highlight of my stay has been the evening shows. 100% effort by the dancers/acrobats. Food is pretty much the same everyday but it's good and freshly cooked. Some of it while you wait. Found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Well worth thd 10 hour flight to get here.

Food and buffet need work!
The location is fantastic, the beach is beautiful but the resort needs work. The buffet has limited selection (sometimes they have the same things out that were out for dinner the previous night) You cant help youself to things like home fries or bacon at breakfast you need to request bacon from your server which is like pulling teeth. The server (Alfredo ) was rude and looked like i was inconveniencing him every time i asked for bacon. Then would take over 15-20 minutes to go get it. Im not one to complain about an all inclusive buffet we have been to many all inclusive resorts before, I know they’re repetitive but this one was truly bad. In terms of the pool. The pool bar is awesome. I didnt get their name but the bartenders were fantastic all week! If you’re bringing kids PLEASE be careful because the tiles that wrap around the pool when they get wet the whole tile area becomes an ice rink. I watched so many kids slip and fall (including my own). The pool its self is very nice and clean. The staff at the resort were all fantastic! LIovany who is part of the Fun team was so great! He helped make my son’s trip fantastic! The rooms were kept clean the maids did a fantastic job every day. Can tell it was a quick flip renovation in the room though. Beds are very firm. Family member we were with had to go get a mattress pad from the front desk to use for the week. All in all, I feel the resort is being really cheap when it comes to the food in the buffet. Hiding certain foods like the bacon seems cheap. Im sure they will try and says its to “make it fresh” but its not. If they worked on the food and service and the friendliness of the servers at the buffet, this resort would very very good.
