  Can't wait to go back!!!!

  From the moment we arrived to the second we left, everything was fabulous. There was never a line in the lobby, it was clean, fresh, and we got to check in early. We got a deluxe double oceanfront room but paid a small fee to upgrade to the ocean view balcony with the outdoor hot tub, in which we used daily. WE got daily cleanings with fresh towels and TP. It was worth every penny for that room #1110. We got up around 8-8:30am each day to go place our towels and floaties, which we brought from home, on our pool chairs, and there were always plenty available but not too many umbrellas for shade. The pool was cooler in the morning but HOT by lunch time. The outdoor food was good, especially when they had the hot wings, didn't get to try the sushi, it was too hot out and I didn't want to risk getting sick. The daily pool activities were great, especially the pirate foam party and the Coco Bongo people coming out. We lounged at the pool every single day for a week and never got tired of it. The bar does not open until 11am but it is worth the wait. Give those men a few dollars and they will treat you like royalty, excellent hard working bartenders! All of the food as excellent, high quality, especially the wood fired pizza that my 10 year old daughter would eat about 2-3 pies each day. I never felt sick or bloated from their food, as I have at other resorts. The seafood restaurant was the best, my husband went and got the fried fish every day, along with the freshest guacamole. The nightly Lobby Bar made the best martinis around with great liquor. The morning coffee bar had excellent cafe con leches. The nightly shows were excellent, especially the Sunday Michael Jackson show. The Mexican Fiesta and Latin nights were my favorites. Everyone at the resort was so kind and caring, and we were never approached/harassed to take any timeshare tours. I hated to leave and go home, like its so close to the airport and Uber rides around the Hotel Zone were not expensive at all. Overall great experience!

  terrible service, cheap on food and hostile time share recruiting

  I used to travel here every year and haven't been back in 5 years. things have changed a lot!! service was terrible!. our room didn't get cleaned two days in a row w the sign hanging on the door. i had to call and ask for towels and toilet paper and wait over an hr. for an all-inclusive food items ran out quickly. during breakfast there were days my kids weren't able to get pancakes, or make an omelette bc they ran out of tomatoes and onions at 9 am with an hr still left for breakfast. one time during dinner she stopped making crepes because she ran out at 8! the same fruits were offered daily no variety. one time during breakfast we waited for someone to bring us coffee for over 15 min, we had finished eating and left. by the pool, service wasn't any better. we ordered drinks from female at 4pm Wed and they never came. we went to go get our own drinks and there was no ice in machine or cups. when we asked servers they said go to bar and get cups and ice. the cheese for nachos is watered down. the time share head manager was rude when we declined to sign up for a time share. he got up abruptly and made a smirk and rude comment. he saw us later in hotel and pretended he didn't know us. we misplaced our key and i had to get in room to get a diaper and they were charging us $20! for a new card. no wonder the price was so cheap i guess you get what you pay for. we will not be returning, i should have listened to other reviews. there are way too many nice hotels to waste your time and money at royal!

  Fun

  This is my second time going to GR Caribe. Had an amazing time with my family. Love the new editions and renovations. Sports bar was fun. If you looking for alittle piece and quiet and need a snack the cafe is the spot to go. Carlos and Alfredo are amazing waiters. They definitely had their work cut out for my family of 15 but they went above and beyond for our needs. Can’t wait to go back!!!

  Mini Club

  My review is specifically for the mini club (kids club). We chose this resort specifically because of the kids park. My son enjoyed it even though it wasn’t what I was expecting personally. There is a play room with AC. The mini club is mostly for kids 5 and under, It’s gated and the staff were very attentive. Emi was always very pleasant every time we checked in and out. There wasn’t much shade in the earlier part of the day and not many spots for the adults to sit out and keep an eye on the little ones. There is a gazebo on an upper level for the adults I assume but we didn’t see it till the last day we were there. There is kids music playing which I thought was great. Azucena is usually there also and she does a good job of playing with the kids. Overall the little ones all seem to enjoy it.

  Wonderful stay & service!

  We really enjoyed our stay much thanks to the manager Vanessa! My daughter was here for a cancer treatment and our original floor had some smells due to construction and Vanessa gave us a stunning new room! She had a wonderful dinner planned for us every night at a different restaurant each night with a reservation without us even asking for help. It was truly some of the best service we have ever had!
