Avoid like the plague
ZERO STARS - Absolutely Unacceptable and Ignorant Service It's as if nobody actually works here. My perfectly reasonable request for a reservation modification, which their website conveniently ignores while only showcasing a cancellation policy, was met with complete ignorance. Apparently, the concepts of "modification" and "cancellation" are too complex for this establishment to grasp. And the reservation confirmation? Still nowhere to be found! The sheer incompetence of not even sending a basic confirmation email raises serious red flags about the validity and security of my booking. Arriving to find no reservation would be entirely unsurprising given the complete lack of competence of everyone who works there. Furthermore, despite qualifying for a weekly rate and a lower resort fee (which I've already paid!), they're trying to sneak in extra resort fees. Their website is a complete mess and their policies purposefully unclear and bent to fit their misrepresentations. Avoid this place like the plague. Their customer service is non-existent, they clearly have no respect for their customers, and are definitely engaging in unlawful business practices. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

Beautiful
This resort is beautiful! My wife and i have visited and stayed at many resorts around the world. This is one of our favorites. Upon check in we were warmly greeted by Stacey C. She assisted us in upgrading our room to a ground floor bungalow. We are so happy we upgraded. the view of the ocean and the ease of gerri g around the resort made it totally worth it. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. The staff around the resort are attentive and friendly. Everything was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Disappointing Stay in April
Had a 6 night stay in mid April. Check in is at 4pm but they said the room wasn't ready yet and to come back in 15 minutes. Came back and was given a key. Went to the room to find someone else unpacking. We both went downstairs and they said the room was his and gave me a different room, Went to the new room and key didn't work. Went downstairs again and got new keys. Sure they apologized but not a great start. Unfortunately things got worse that night as bugs(probably terminates) started coming out all over the restroom area and crawling/flying around. Due to this as we were looking to see where they were coming from we found many spider webs in the space they put our towels by the sink. Maintenance was called and eventually they said they would move us since they would have to spray the room. Apparently the only room left with 2 beds was the furthest bungalow from the tower next to the golf course. This put a damper on the rest of the stay because all the amenities are in the tower or on opposite side from the bugalows so having to walk 5/10 minutes with a 1 and 4 year old became a choir(breakfast buffet and restaurant, pool, beach, ice cream shop, kids play area, luau, parking lot) as opposed to just going down the elevators. Nothing worse then having to go back "real quick" to the room and it taking 15 minutes. The bugalow itself had a cat that I'm sure has made friends with many visitors of the room because it constantly was meowing/pawing at the door and sitting/sleeping on the couch in the private patio area, and trying to dash in the room whenever the screen door was opened. I do not likes cats so was annoying not being able to just relax in the patio without a cat trying to get me to pet it and sit next to me. I'm sure cat lovers would be as happy as my 4 year old to adopt a pet for your vacation. The room itself had 2 issues. The shower glass door isn't actually a door it's just a glass that covers about half the space of the shower so water gets all over the restroom floor and the toilet is placed right there in front of the shower, just a weird design. The other issue was we found a Powerade bottle by the bed/curtains which just doesn't make sense. If you know how big a Powerade bottle is, a simple clean around the bed when making it by housekeeping should have easily discovered it. Last issue, The first night the front desk said we would not be charged a resort fee (45/night, 270 total) because of the issues the and on checkout I had a feeling it might be "forgotten", luckily I had some time and didn't do express checkout so was able to talk with someone. They printed all the expenses and of course it was still on there and had to get them to remove it.

Royal Lahaina is my favorite ❤️
I have been to the resort a few times now and I always enjoy my time there!!! The hotel is beautiful, the staff is great, the food is amazing, and the fact that you can just walk out to your own little piece of ocean heaven is a recipe for a perfect experience! I will be back again and again!

14 out of 10!
From arrival to departure, every aspect of our stay was perfect. The lobby is clean, bright and open with fast, friendly service. Our room was very clean and the view was like none other! We thoroughly enjoyed the lounging at the refreshing pools while enjoying a yummy ice cream from Royal Scoops! It was so convenient to have the swimmable beach right in front of our hotel and how fun was it that two monk seals came on shore to sun themselves while we were there! We looked forward to our nightly romantic serenade at the Branches. The Myths of Maui Luau was very entertaining. We are really going to miss Maui and The Royal Lahaina.
