Thanks for our rest! See you next year! Everything was good! Thank you to the staff! I hope that the RIU network will not suffer from global problems with the virus. Please wash the plates and glasses better.
Got back a few days ago after a 2 week stay. After hesitating between the various Riu hotels, we felt the Tequila was definitely the right choice for us. The hotel setting is beautiful. The gardens are well kept. We very much enjoyed the wildlife. The buffets were very good. We tried the various restaurants and they too were very good. Only had to book for the Mexican. Our room was great. It’s very spacious and nice to have some outside space. The lovely beach is a 5mn walk - beautiful turquoise sea and white sand. Plenty of sunbeds available and you can always find some shade. The entertainment is very good. We did an excursion to Chichen Itza and a catamaran one to Isla Mujeres. Enjoyed both very much. Booked them on line as we too thought the TUI excursions were expensive. All the staff is absolutely great and even though they were about to lose their jobs they managed to remain cheerful. It was our first visit at the Tequila but it certainly won’t be our last. We wish everyone at the Tequila all the best and hope they’ll be able to reopen in the not so distant future.
We arrived on the 6th march 2020, with a great welcoming the reception staff were fantastic and very helpful, the room was big and spacious with your own bar !! But would have like a coffee machine for a morning coffee once we got up, it was a long way to walk to the sport bar to get one which was open 24/7. The food was fantastic too and waiters were very helpful and help you as much as they could. The hotel was very clean and the gardens were fantastic. Everything of our hoilday was brilliant and we would go back. All the entertainment team were brilliant and the night show was different most nights. A fantastic hoilday
This was the first time for us in Mexico. The hotel was in a gated community, so it was ok to have a walk out of the hotel grounds. You could access other Rui hotel which was nice as it gives you more choice. The rooms are spacious and have minibars in, the beds are comfy and the rooms are cleaned daily. The pools are great, depending what you like to do wether it’s spend time in the swim up pool bar, plays games in the pool, just relax or have a good swim there is a pool for you. There was 4 places to eat the steak house was the best, the Italian restaurant wasn’t so great. In the main dining area there’s plenty of food but some strange combinations. The entertainment was good, the Rui staff really do an amazing job, my only disappointment was that we never got to experience the white party due to the current situation of the virus. But I totally understand that as people’s health is far more important. The neon party was great, the hotel and staff put so much work into this, and it was a fabulous night. The beach is a short walk but you can get the little buggy to it, which is free and runs all day. The beach is amazing and the boys on the beach can not do enough for you. As I said before you can use the other hotel facilities so you are able to continue using the all inclusive. Keep and eye out for the monkeys and turtles this was great to experience to see these in the wild but also so cared for. The hotel grounds are constantly kept clean and tidy, all Rui staff work so hard and are so polite. Over all we had an amazing holiday and will certainly will be returning. Toward the end of our holiday the hotels were having to close due to people unable to travel, I really do hope that they can come back from this and it does damage their business to much as you gave us an amazing holiday and I know many of us there are wanting to come back when it’s safe to do so.
Tequila no 4
We have just arrived back from the Riu Tequila. When we left the hotel was almost of guests, because of Covid19. Even with the world in turmoil at the moment ALL the hotel staff were still giving the same 1st class service that they always do. Considering that most of them are going to be unemployed tomorrow when the last guests leave and all the hotels in the area are closing down. I have written reviews on this hotel before saying that the service, staff, food, entertainment etc have been excellent, but in the current climate everyone stepped up a gear, I cannot praise them enough. When they are back up and running and the world is allowed to travel again, we will definitely be going again for visit no 5.
