  Amazing holiday! Will be back!

  We loved this hotel. Very, very clean. The staff go out of their way to make everything perfect for you. Rooms are very spacious, and the beds are comfortable. Mini bar topped up every other day or on request through the riu app. Check-in was easy enough, and we were brought a soft drink straight away. Always managed to get a sunbed around the pool, no matter what time it was. The food was brilliant, and we enjoyed the steak house the best. I'm a very fussy eater and always managed to get something to eat. White and neon parties are held here every Friday night. All the sister hotels guests join in too, so it's a very, very busy night! ... but amazing! There's a golf buggy that does trips down to the beach if you need it. The beach is amazing, like something out of a dream. You can eat lunch at the hotel there and get drinks from the bar too. Overall, an amazing time here and we will be returning!

  Exceptional service

  We have visited The Tequila nearly 40 times during the last 26 years or so. Why do we return? Because all the staff really look after us and the facilities are fantastic. We are both disabled and use electric wheelchairs, and all staff members can’t do enough to help us. Francisco, the manager, is extremely professional, courteous and friendly. He should be very proud of his team, everybody excels in their work. We will return!

  Excellent service

  Absolutely wonderful experience! The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Rosa and Felix, two of the waiters who were especially warm, helpful, and always had a smile on their faces. Their service really stood out and made our meals even more enjoyable. The manager, Angel (translated from Spanish), was truly brilliant. He was incredibly supportive and went out of his way to make sure we were well looked after. From start to finish, he went the extra mile to ensure everything ran smoothly and that we felt completely at home. It was a fantastic stay and one we’ll always remember. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere!

  Great hotel wonderful holiday

  We have just returned from a two week holiday at this hotel and it lived up to our expectations. The check in at the Rui tequila was quick and easy and after a 10 hour flight and an hours transfer from Cancun we were straight into our room. We stayed in villa 19 room 1912. On our arrival our room had been decorated for our 15th wedding anniversary and had a lovely card and bottle of tequila. The room was very comfortable and cleaned exceptionally well every day. Our room overlooked the main sports pool which was handy in a morning if we were spending time at the pool area. The pool areas were clean and regularly being cleaned throughout the day. Big shout out to the team that keep the toilets clean near the adult swim up bar, they were always spotless and dry. The entertainment team were great always friendly and always chatty to guests. Lupita from the team/rui Fit was such a great personality and I loved her aqua classes. The team also perform great evening shows and work extremely long hours. We used the swim up bar once but the area as expected gets louder through the day with some very drunk and sometimes rude guests (sad to say most of the rude guests were British) with comments to staff like I’m on my holidays and I’ll do what I want ! This was when a staff member asked the guest to use the designated areas for smoking. The buffet restaurant and the Al a Cartes were very good. I wasn’t keen on the steakhouse menu but that’s just my opinion. Breakfast had everything you needed and we always sat outside which was lovely. My husband liked the Italian especially so we visited that a few times. My favourite was the bamboo oriental as I’m a fan of sushi. The pepes pool side grill in my opinion was poor and I saw guests using their fingers to remove food rather than using the utensils provided. Great bars, great service, great drink choices nothing to complain at all about. Must say a very big Thankyou to Andrea in the sports bar she’s amazing with her service and can juggle several different guest orders at the same time. The hotel overall is very clean, great not to be on the Beach with all that wet sand about. The beach is a 7 minute walk down a lovely covered walk way or there’s a golf buggy if you fancy a ride. The beach has white sand and lots of palm trees for shade. Please watch the sea as it has very strong rip tides and there was a serious incident with a guest whilst we were there who needed CPR as they got into trouble in the sea. The Rui tequila has a full entertainment program both day and night so there’s always something to join in with if and when you want. Plus it hosts the white and neon parties every Friday. It’s a great hotel to visit and would love to visit again at some point.

  Great hotel, great food

  Rally nice renovated hotel, food is always great at Riu's hotels. Entertainment is great as well. 1km walk to the beach - you can take cart but there is always a lineup - but we didnt mind walking through the nice path surounded by the trees (took us usually 10 -15 mins) as we neded some excersize after all that walking. :-)
