    Riu Republica for the first time

    Pleasant, but not spectacular

    The location and beach are wonderful. Seating available is sufficient to handle the crowds. The towel service is adequate, not spectacular (they say you can get a towel at 6:30 am, but there was never anyone there at that time handing them out). The food in the restaurant's buffet was of good quality and great variety. What keeps me from giving 5 stars is the employees' attitude; they seemed disgruntled and annoyed by questions about directions.

    Had an amazing time

    Great accommodations, very clean resort. Food was very good. Jerk chicken was Soo good!!. Frienly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend staying at Riu Republica.

    If you like to sleep at night, get a room in the back.

    The front desk people were very helpful by giving us a room with an ocean view since it was our anniversary. However, the room came with all of the music from the theater below. No shopping in the area and the shopping trip they take you to is lack luster to stay the least. I was looking for something with more of a local feel.

    3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:

    a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments

    b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.

    c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID

    d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.

    4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.

    5. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed from the property, at their own expense.

    6. Student / Spring Breaker Groups must comply with any protocols (hotel and government) in place at the time of stay at the hotel.
