    Only drawback is the food is mediocre and tastes pretty bland. Also the restaurants are the same only the steak restaurant is ok and the jerk chicken on the beach

    Buyer beware!!

    This was my first trip to the DR and I decided this place had a lot of options. My room's thermostat failed to work properly. At times I felt as if the Devil was taking shots of Fireball, eating a double-meat Chipotle bowl, and passing out on my bed. I complained about this matter for 3 days and I was never offered a credit or exchange to another room. When I asked what was the outcome of the technician inspecting my room, I never received any updates. The buffet food was accompanied by a family of flies that I assume also had a reservation because I everytime I showed to eat, they a table reserved. The best option is to reserve at one of the restaurants, but be weary of the amount of food and preparation of it. In good spirts, I cannot recommend this resort for anything other than to find a better place. The staff was the highlight of the stay as they were always welcoming to my group, but we could nto get past the constant site of flies.

    Great Trip! Returning in September!!

    We had a great time with another couple! We travel often and realize we are not paying top dollar when looking/booking a great deal! Several pools (8) to choose from, something for everybody whether you want to party or just hang back in a quieter atmosphere. We really appreciate all RIU properties have the built in tables and chairs in the swim up bar pools for chatting with several people we meet throughout the week, or just the people you arrive with! Service was great! A smile and " HOLA" goes a long way. The buffet offered several options, never got bored with it. The servers remember you and go out of their way to greet you after meeting you once! Jerk chicken stand was a savior while we were in the pool all day long! Asian restaurant was a hit! We were there during APRIL spring break (we are late 40s early 50s) and just booked to return Sept 2025! Definitely try out the water slides!!

    Not Too Bad

    I came for my 60th birthday, it was 12 of us! This was better than expected, reading some of the reviews I was terrified of coming here! Everything was alright, room was nice, beds were very comfortable, some of my birthday crew had problems with no sound on their TV. The food is good, drinks good, plenty of pools, beach was nice! I think the service was good as well! Now the place very much so needs to be updated on all levels! We were in a three bedroom, there were only 4 outlets, one in the bathroom, one between two of the beds and the other two between the bar and refrigerator which is difficult to plug things into! Bathroom smells a little musty but other than it was a alright stay!

    HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

    WARNING!!!! PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!!! We stayed there 4/17 to 4/21/25 and our vacation was ruined!!! The hotel had roaches in the hallway and rooms, bed bugs, rude staff, unclean rooms and filthy sheets, plumbing and water problems, rude staff, cheap liquor and tasteless food!!! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT IS AGAINST THE LAW!!! Take my word for it, we wanted to leave the same night that we checked in but we could not get our money back. A bunch of Scammers!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!
