Will definitely go back
Beautiful beach and the resort workers bring lounge chairs for you as you walk out to the beach. The pool was lively with the entertainment crew pumping everyone up. Rooms were very clean and food was great. The buffet had so much variety and did not seem like last nights dinner like many resorts. We stuck with the frozen drinks and asked for an extra shot of liquor. Very tasty! Staff was friendly too.
First time at Riu and loved every minute of it! Weather was a bit windy but over all it was a great trip. The food was amazing and even when the buffet closed there was always another option. Restaurants were first come first served, but it was not a bad wait.
Wonderful resort and yummy food! Buffet was Yummy and top notch overall. Rooms were always stocked and cleaned daily. Friendly staff everywhere we went love this resort! Hope to go back one day to visit!
My boyfriend and I stayed March 8 to 13. We received a free upgrade (to a higher floor) upon arrival. Almost all the staff was super nice and informative. We had some trouble with staff in the 24 hour bar (Calypso), but everywhere else was great. Food was surprisingly good. I've been to Sandals resorts a lot, so I would say it's not 5 star; but it's definitely 4 star. The steakhouse was our favorite. Kulinarium and the Japanese restaurant were also delicious. Breakfast buffet was decent. It was pretty windy for 2 days, but it wasn't cold. The only two things we would change is - restaurant reservations (you had to stand in line to get a spot at the specialty restaurants) and beach privacy (the beach was public so it was super packed). However, both those things weren't a huge deal - we stood in line to get a seat for a later seating, and we just walked down the beach about 15 minutes for privacy. The afternoon entertainment is just okay, but we were there to just relax so it wasn't a big deal. This trip was great. I definitely recommend it as an alternative to some of the higher priced adult only vacation spots. You won't be disappointed!
Hotel has been renovetade since last time we were there, staff are very helpful ,food is amazing many options.we stayed 4 days we had 2 good days and the rest was very windy and cold ,upon arrival we were told that we had a free room upgrade but our room was not ready few hours later our room was ready and when asked for the upgrade I was told that somebody made a mistake and if I wanted to upgrade it is $150 per night .i don't understand how you can make a mistake like that . Pillows in our room were old and no shape to it ,something they need to improve on .
