Jul 03, 2025Amazing EVERYTHING!!
From the minute we walked in we definitely knew we were going to enjoy our stay and have a total blast. The ambience, decors, staff, EVERYTHING was amazing. The restaurants and food were awesome, we loved how there was a little of everything. The pools especially the swim up bar. Loved every bit of it! We only wished the pool stayed open to at least 10 PM. At least the main pool. Overall it was so much fun! One of our best stays thus far and looking forward into others on future trips. THANK YOU HOTEL RIU!

Great Place!
Very nice property. Friendly staff and good amenities. The only negative we found is that they do not provide shade umbrellas on the beach. Would stay here again!

Jul 01, 2025My Disappointing Experience at Riu Palace Pacifico
I recently stayed at Riu Palace Pacifico and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others. Unfortunately, my visit was marred by a serious issue that left me feeling unsafe and disheartened. During my stay, a gold ring—my only piece of real jewelry—was stolen from my room after housekeeping had cleaned. This was particularly distressing as it seemed clear that someone had gone through my belongings, given that the ring was hidden among fake jewelry. I promptly reported the incident to the hotel’s "prevention team," who assured me that an investigation would take place and that I would be contacted with updates. To date, I have not received any communication from them, which only adds to my frustration. What’s more alarming is the lack of empathy from the staff. Not a single person offered an apology or showed concern for my situation. As someone who travels frequently, I expect to feel safe and comfortable in my accommodations, but my experience at Riu Palace Pacifico was the complete opposite. Additionally, my friend encountered a serious issue with her room door, which failed to lock properly. This is simply unacceptable and raises significant safety concerns. In light of these experiences, I cannot recommend Riu Palace Pacifico. If you value your belongings and your peace of mind while traveling, I suggest looking elsewhere. Your safety and comfort should always come first

We will be back!
This was our second time staying at this property. We take about 3 trips to Mexico/Caribbean every year. We enjoyed it very much. The restaurants are great and this place has the best breakfast buffet I've ever seen. Our room was comfortable and everyone who worked there seemed to be happy and helpful. I have 5 small suggestions that could make this place better: 1. you need a bathroom on the same level as the pools (and restaurants) are. It makes no sense that you have to go down stairs to get to the spa or beach bathroom - I don't think that people ever left the "standing" pool - EWWWW 2. please put some type of non-slip mat in the shower. We had one the first stay but not the second and our shower was extremely slippery 3. BLANKETS - our room was so cold and there was no blanket, just the flat sheet and another sheet. Good news is our AC was amazing 4. you need more servers by the pool, they were running their tails off, sometimes having another person carry the 2nd tray of drinks they were bringing out. They need some help! 5. the pool was very, very warm. Not sure much can be done about this It would also be nice to have an a la carte option for lunch. Like I said, we will be back and these are wishes that would be very nice to have. Highly recommend this property...plus NO KIDS! Bonus!

Fantastic stay
Loved my stay at Riu Palace Pacifico. Must get in line early at the steakhouse. Also would recommend going into Puerto Vallarta with a taxi instead of booking a tour onsite.,Bucearias was another tiny town with a market. 10 minute taxi from Riu. This Riu also has designated taxi drivers when you have to go back to the airport. The pools and beach were very nice. Really liked the poolside food. Nice touch. You must go to the sports bar restaurant for wings, burger Mac and cheese and Cobb salad. Enjoy!
