What We Love
- No reservations needed for any of the restaurants.
- This palatial paradise has two shimmering pools, plus a prime beachy location. Sun worshippers, you'll be in love.
- Tucked into a gated, upscale community, the swanky decor here is modern and chic.
- This Beach Eden is geared for families and adults, so the crowd isn't a rowdy party crew.
- Weights. Cardio. Stretching. It's going on every morning and afternoon.
- Dipping into a relaxing steam bath and whirlpool after your stress-smashing workout.
- Carving out some much needed naptime on the beach. The swaying palms will be your lullaby.

Enjoyable with 2 teens. Few things to improve.
Writing this on day 13 of a 14 day vacation with my wife and 2 teens. Our first impressions were not so great. We arrived during the night and were put off by all the cold white lights in combination with the kitschy purple and metal color theme. It gave a very strange vibe also cause the hotel felt empty and cold. The rooms have the same issue with cold white leds, funky purple colors and open bathroom (lack of privacy) it took us some time to get used to. We would prefer warmer lights all around. BUT: The hotel facilities are great, nice pools, beach and the gardens are perfectly maintained. They trim the grass and bushes with lots of care. Pitty that on the beach, there is already a serious lack of shadow, the gardeners are too pro active cutting palm leaves which are still perfectly fine and green. The result is even less shadow and very tall palms with only 4 or 5 leaves remaining. Also bringing a parasol from pool to beach is not allowed. Other hotels nearby do offer better solutions for people who prefer beach above poolside which we found pitty. If you want shadow you are forced to wake up ealry and fight for the sunbeds near the pool which are occupied since 6am. The hotel does a GREAT effort trying to remove the seagrass from the beach each morning. Its a Sisyphean task. Unfortunately we only had few days where grass was not an issue and we could enjoy true clear blue waters. Staff is super friendly, they bring drinks on the beach and around the pool. Also honorable mention to the cleaning staff, never stayed at a hotel where public spaces and toilets were kept so clean at all times! Also i found the beautifull white orchids in the restrooms fascinating. The food is pretty good but the buffets in evening suffer from toooo much choice resulting in 100 of small pots scattered around the place. Impossible to keep them all filled, warm and look appetising. I would reduce the choice by 25% and focus more on refilling with warm fresh food, sure still everyone could find something they like. Evening entertainment is rather average but my kids loved the weekly RIU Fluo / all white Parties at Tequila across the street and the foam parties.

Spot on again
This is our eighth visit to this hotel and yet again it didn’t disappoint, as other people have said it’s immaculately clean, the staff are very friendly the food is good etc the only thing that lets it down are the guests, as said in an earlier review people started putting towels on beds the night before, there weren’t enough brollies so if you left yours unattended there was a chance it would disappear, people filling their plates with food then leaving it, I disagree with a previous reviewer about the clean towels they are clean and smell of detergent and the vegetarian who complained about the steak house, why would a vegetarian go to a steak house ? There is something magnetic about this place it draws us back every year it’s a Caribbean holiday for Tenerife money the only negative is the nine and a half hour flight

Great holiday !
5 Stars – Amazing Holiday at Riu Palace Mexico We stayed at the Riu Palace Mexico between 25th June and 9th July, and it was truly fantastic from start to finish. The hotel itself is immaculately clean, and you can see how hard the staff work to keep everything spotless and running smoothly. The service was outstanding – nothing was ever too much trouble, and everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The food was perfect, exactly what you’d want from an all-inclusive buffet, with plenty of variety and fresh options. We also tried several of the à la carte restaurants – the steak was particularly delicious. A special mention to Cynthia, who looked after us so well in the buffet restaurant, and to German at the pool and lobby bar, who never let our drinks run dry! Francesco the bell boy was so helpful and friendly whenever we needed anything. The entertainment team were fantastic – they work so hard all day to keep guests entertained, always with a smile and great energy. While the beach did have some seaweed during our stay, it didn’t spoil the holiday at all. There was no smell, and it cleared for a few days so we could enjoy the beautiful turquoise water and have a swim. It was also really nice not to be constantly approached around the pool by people selling trips or services, which made relaxing even easier. We did have a small issue with our room, but it was resolved very quickly and without any fuss. We met some great people and had such a brilliant time that we would 100% return and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality all-inclusive experience. Thank you to all the team at Riu Palace Mexico for making our holiday so special!

Mexico 2025
An amazing hotel, everyone who works here very welcoming and can’t do enough for you. The food is delicious and always lots to choose from. Gustavo is amazing, does amazing aqua gym in the morning and always a joyful person around the pool. I can’t wait to come and visit the hotel again. The parties they do are really good, as I’m not normally out a lot but I loved the parties here.

Not vegetarian friendly
Check in was quick and initial perception was positive. On reaching by the rooms it was immediately evident that they were very dated and in need of a refresh. The food was disappointing and repetitive in the buffet restaurant. Whilst initially it looks like there are a lot of options. as a vegetarian, the food choices were very limited and poorly labeled. There was also a lot of cross contamination where serving spoons were being used across multiple dishes. If there had been a separate area for vegetarian dishes it would have helped. We also felt that there was a lack of authentic Mexican food available even on the Mexican themed nights. The coffee shop however was great, serving nice coffee & cakes. Options for lunch were also good. There was a wait for the Italian restaurant, but the food was good. One member of our party got very ill after eating in the steakhouse. Service wasn’t very good and they were not very accommodating for vegetarians and said there would be a 40mins delay for any vegetarian food and it would not arrive together as was cooked elsewhere. Some food did not even arrive so overall the steakhouse was disappointing and suggest avoiding the crabcakes! The pool area was nice and as early risers we had no problem with finding sun loungers, however they soon filled up. The entertainment around the pool was not to our taste and very loud, however some people seemed to enjoy it. We took a few walks along the beach but the seaweed and smell was off putting, appreciate this is out of the hotels control though. The grounds are well maintained by the gardeners who worked hard. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Most were friendly, particularly Ana in the buffet restaurant who was great! Also Pastor the pool waiter, he was always working hard with a big smile on his face! This hotel is not a 5 star but could be so much better, if only they would update the rooms and better cater for vegetarians.
