  The BEST hotel!!

  This is the best hotel I have ever been too! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. Staff - always so polite and friendly. Always saying good morning, cannot offer you enough drinks, food etc and so welcoming and will do anything for you. All so friendly, smiley and happy all of the time. Entertainment is also amazing! Non/stop and the staff work so hard! Alex is so much fun he is in charge of the Riu fit. He’s so funny and makes each day worth while. Food - WOW is all I can say. This food is the BEST food I have ever had at an all inclusive. So fresh and a wide and I mean a wide variety of foods. Loads of seafoods, tuna salmon mussels prawns and lobster every single night. As well as meats like steaks, chicken, beef, pork every night too. Wide salad bar and also selection of veg, rice , chips , burgers, sausages , sushi. Honestly this had the works. Picture an all you can eat buffet but a sit down meal vibe and this is it. Unreal! As well as the other 6/7 all included within your stay restaurants you can eat at. Italian, steak house, Japanese, grill etc. download the Tui app and you’ll see what you get. Also a coffee shop which does Costa//starbucks type of coffees and cakes all included for free within your stay restaurants open 7-5ish I think. The food made this trip. It was unreal. Drinks- also amazing! All premium spirits and also beer. Can ask for any cocktail you want even if not on the menu they will also do them all frozen for you which is amazing in the heat. I recommend the passion cocktail on the menu. This was unreal! 10/11-12 serving too, which is very very good. Also topped up 24/7 by the bar staff. They all work so hard. Bedrooms- massive! Clean! And also very spacious with a nice balcony. Air-con too, which actually works. Also get sprites and a mini fridge all inclined within your stay. Topped up everyday ! With non alcoholic cans, Pepsi, tango, sprite, water etc & tea and coffee/kettle also provided. As well as an iron. Also a jet bath is also included with bubbles etc and a shower and toilet which are separate. Activities - LOADS! To do. We did the Akulm turtles and cenote tour. Amazing!!! Book with your rep as there are so many you can do. Weather - absolutely a dream!!! 31/33 all day! Rained the last day but we were so grateful as it was soooooo hot. Resort is overall amazing. We also saw monkeys within the hotel. They are in between this hotel and the hotel next door which you can also use(along either the other 5ish hotels included within this hotel which you can use - speak to your holiday provider) Riu Yucatan. Go in the morning and you’ll be able to see some monkeys. There are also other wildlife on the resort! They are all so cute and friendly. Loads of birds as well! Playa del carmen- Safe and friendly to walk around. Such a good town for drinks, bars , food & souvenirs. And also had a shopping centre. Located around 25/30 mins walk away from Hotel. Ask at the hotel for more info! Worth the walk you see some lovely houses on the way. The resort around the hotel is amazing! I recommend going out and having a look around. It’s like millionaires paradise! The houses and apartments are a dream!!!! Safe too, as the resort is also guarded 24/7 and is located in a safe place where the guards check each individual coming into the complex! You have to show your bands to them to all you in and out. Made us feel safe. On the way there are also two sets of ruins I recommend you go to. We saw some iguanas there, and some lizards! As well as The ruins themselves. So interesting and beautiful. Beach - one word INCREDIBLE! Soft white sand, cleaned everyday!!! Sea is like a bath! And also very very blue! They also bring drinks around 24/7 to the beach! So you don’t have to worry about going back up to the hotel all the time.

  Lovely place!

  We stayed at this hotel for a wedding with the whole family, when we arrived it was a quick easy smooth check in considering there were a few of us! Arrived at our room, spotless! The fridge restocked everyday! The room cleaned everyday! Just little things like folding our PJs properly on the pillows everyday! All the staff very friendly and helpful! Love the pool bar! The only thing with the pools is we didn’t understand is the two infinity pools by the steps to go to the beach we couldn’t use, but nevertheless this didn’t effect our stay we just didn’t understand why. The beach lovely and clean, beds nice and dotted about not too closed to each other. We didn’t really enjoyed the restaurant other than the buffet and the steak house, only because we felt it was very limited options. The stake house on the other hand, was by far our favourite! The drinks were lovely and a great selection to choose from! The coffee shop was definitely up there with one of my personal favourite part! They catered to my uncle in laws wedding perfectly, it was lovely! Taxis right outside the hotel, we took a few down to 5th avenue, good price! The Friday night parties too, wow what an experience! Can get your face painted in the lobby of the hotel and then make your way over the road to the party! Lovely atmosphere they really do put on a performance! We were lucky enough to experience both the white party and the neon party! Weather was lovely everyday! The little shop inside the hotel has everything you need! Lovely place overall!

  Amazing

  From start to finish this is my favourite hotel and destination, friendly staff beautiful grounds and beach and the food and drink are the best I have had at an all inclusive. Can’t wait to return.

  Outstanding

  Hi, my dear friends, my family! For been so lucky to visit you for 7 times, I guess you know that you are "Family". 😊 In this review I will just say that if you would love to meet the most lovely, careful, attendant and hard working staff - yes, come here! I have before put up some reviews that you can check out with more detail review. But for now, I will say as every time before - what makes Riu Palace Mexico, to one of my most beautiful places on earth, is the staff! Here I have so many lovely person to mention. At the restaurants, Adela, Carolina, Addy, Faviola, Mary, Abraham, Hermino, Elisa, Christel, Emela, Edela by so many others. Hope you can forgive for forgetting names and slipping my tongue. ;( In the reception service is as splendid as everywhere at this hotel, very quick and most attentive. My deepest thanks to Paolo and Ulises among all of you all. :) I have spent the most time at this lovely, blended beach, with the most astonishing beautiful staff - the staff att bar "El Palmeral"! Come here, only for meeting them. :) They are my heroes and the most lovely, friendly, attentive and skilled persons you could ask for. Hope you will get the chance to meet Lazaro, Javi, José, Ravi, German, Pastor, Orlando, Pedro, Mario, Ermilo, Luis, Alfredo, Animele, Angel and Axel. Look out, you will fall in love! So for this time, I will end this review with saying, what makes, shapes and creates Riu Palace Mexico, is the Staff, this wonderful, amazing and most fabulous staff!. If you have the opportunity, come here. 😊 You will not regret it.   Great stay, great staff.

  I just spent 10 days with a group at Riu Palace Mexico. We had a great time, but the highlight of our stay was the friendly staff, particularly Alex. Alex's smiling face was seemingly everywhere. He did the yoga classes, he did the pool/water aerobics classes, he did pool bar games/entertainment. He remembered your name from the first time you met, and greeted you warmly thereafter.
