What We Love
- No reservations needed for any of the restaurants.
- This palatial paradise has two shimmering pools, plus a prime beachy location. Sun worshippers, you'll be in love.
- Tucked into a gated, upscale community, the swanky decor here is modern and chic.
- This Beach Eden is geared for families and adults, so the crowd isn't a rowdy party crew.
- Weights. Cardio. Stretching. It's going on every morning and afternoon.
- Dipping into a relaxing steam bath and whirlpool after your stress-smashing workout.
- Carving out some much needed naptime on the beach. The swaying palms will be your lullaby.

Go for room 1047. It's awesome. And don't forget to go on the balcony pre sunrise - the birdsong is to die for. The hotel in general is spectacular, although the ahem, entertainment is dubious at best. The only "beasties" we saw were giant ants, but these were outside our block on the footpath and did no-one any harm.
Riu Palace Holiday
Fantastic hotel although we were absolutely gutted after 2 days they shut all the special restaurants. I appreciate numbers were down because of the virus but ah hang on what about the ones that were still there! Still paid the same, this could of been 10/10 but not now.
Hotel RIU Palace Mexico – Eternal love
Once again back there. Have tried quite a number of other ones, but this goes on being the best one for us, the place where we really feel almost at home. One of the most important point for the enjoyable stay is that during a holiday one definitely does not want to cope with problems. However, wherever you are, problems may crop up, and here it is really certain that in case of need the help is ready and quick. The front desk – or reception – has nice staff, always available and ready to help, and so is, if necessary, also the management. A most remarkable and high value feature of the place is the friendliness of the personnel. Wherever one meets anyone from the top management to the waiters, barmen, those who clean the apartments and the whole place, the black-cad workers, gardeners and repairmen, everyone is friendly, ready to give a greeting, a smile, and help if asked for. A large part of the personnel are Maya - very nice, pleasant, likeable people. Another requirement of utmost importance: the whole place is kept always impeccably clean. Suites are really correct – even if on the compact side. If you can afford it, chose one giving onto the courtyard between the wings of the U-shaped building: the wiew is charming day and night. Cleaning of the suite is good and daily, the beds always clean, the shower cabin nice large. A crazy feature of some RIU hotels, and also here, that the room and the part containing the wash-basins are not really separated – toilet and shower cabin of course, are! -, and in part of the suites not even visually. If you want some privacy there, ask for a room where a curtain performs the optical separation. Some madness of the RIU’s inner design of some hotels, here as well is that there is a difference in level between the part of the room where the beds are and where the table and the sofa, so that one has to go down on steps. The steps are built so into the floor that if one goes around the bed, the steps form a pit in the walkway, invisibly black in the night, and it is easy to fall down on them. In night I put a large suitcase on them so as to block the way into such a mishap. Air conditioning set, because of some higher regulation, so that the maximum cannot be higher than 23 Celsius grade. Fighted them for 25 C., but in vain. Thus getting in from the outside heat often feels not really comfortable. A small piece of advice: bring along air-refreshener, because the ventillation system of the toilet is poor. Food. In the all-inclusive catering, the food is really plentiful, its quality mostly good enough, sometimes excellent. The main restaurant is self-service with nice, helpful people at the food-counters, and courteous waiters. In the theme restaurants there is table service, choice is not really wide and always the same, quality very good. Unlike years before, there is no registration for the theme restaurants: if there is free table, you may just have it. WiFi is good but some may find hard to log in. The reception helps really kindly. Sunbeds in the pool area are plenty. However, they replaced the former ones, and now it is up to one’s requirements or physical conditions, how comfortable they feel. Their fabric is thin and tight, somewhat hard, and in two parts with a gap towards one’s hip – it may be a good idea to use some inflatable cushion to cover the gap and thus make it more comfortable. The entertainment programme – well, this is up to one’s taste. Those who would prefer to enjoy local culture, will mostly be disappointed. In the bar there is live piano music almost every evening, but almost always flat international consumer products are played. Mostly so are the music performances in the theatres as well. However, once a week there is a magnificent group, the Los Mariachis, performing real Mexican music and songs. We had the misfortune to be there when the wordwide CoVid problem flared up and, due to it, the number of the guest went down. The operation of the Hotel came therefore to a forced halt, but we heard that towards May they plan to restart it.
Home from home!
We actually travelled here in 2018 but didn’t get round to the review. We love this hotel having been twice now! This place has got everything from great choice of good food ; (the buffet is amazing and the themed restaurants superb!) great location on a beautiful white sandy beach and great service! We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel for a fantastic holiday.
Very beautiful Palace
Visited here on the 16th March, first impressions from outside are just WOW, when inside it gets even better, it is beautiful from start to finish, pools are lovely and the beach is to die for, the staff are utterly amazing, so friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding, we tried the Mexican and I had a whole octopus and the steak restaurant twice because it was so good, best fillet steak I’ve had !! You can go over to the other 5 star RUIs locally which are a bit busier in the evening and the hotel next door has monkeys in the trees. Yoga every day was outstanding and there’s always something going on.....Was very sad to be the last guests to leave before they shut the hotel down for a few months due to the virus.....will definitely return here as it’s just absolutely beautiful
