RIU Palace Las Americas
Great adult only Party Hotel, entertainment staff don’t stop. The waiters and waitresses are excellent, the food good, not great. Buffet good but repetitive. Mexican nice, Japanese poor. The Crystal restaurant good ( probably the best). Black and White is a joke. The only way to get in I guess is to bribe the manager. As for a first come first served restaurant we were told at .19.15, I hour 45 minutes to wait, despite at least 10 empty tables. Apparently everyone is on a buzzer 🤔. Having said that the restaurant is positioned in a corridor so I imagine it’s like being an inmate at a zoo. I’ll never know. This blip aside the Hotel is good fun especially the organised parties.

Great party and nice beach, but average food and disappointing room conditions
The room cleaning was below expectations, as it was limited and insufficient. Additionally, there were no duvets provided, only light sheets, and the room itself felt rather damp.

THE GREATEST VACATION!!
This was a trip for my daughter and I before she left for college, we had THE BEST TIME! The resort was gorgeous, the activities were amazing, and the food was fabulous. The two people that stood out the most to us during our stay were Johnathon at the activities pool and Miguel at the buffet. They were both so kind and had so much personality. We will be returning to this resort soon !

Fantastic Beach and Pool- A Senior view
I tend to rate tropical hotels first by the beach and pool and both here are fantastic. Although it was very hot (August- so what do you expect?), we had no trouble finding chaise lounges with easy access to the beach and pool. Since I have some mobility issues (I am a senior, so this review is from thast perspctive) that's important to me. However, the hotel is only moderately accessible friendly with only one ramp (to the lobby) and a number of staircases and a bit of a walk to the bathrooms. The junior suite that we had had a beautiful ocean view and the furniture, depsite some critiical reviews, was fine. We did have a bit of an issue with housekeeping, which was not particularly responsive, requiring multiple calls for some minor issues and although the hotel says it replenishes the fridge evetry 2 days, the porter missed our room for some reason and when I called for more items, never got them. The food was similar to that at the RIU Palace Peninsula, where we had previously stayed and was quite good, although we ate mostly in the buffet. I felt the entertainment was hit or miss, with some quite good and some some somewhat amateurish. the hotel ran a complementary bus to the RIU Caribe next door for evening parties 3 nights a week, which we heard were quite good, although we never went. Finally, the staff was absolutely exceptional, very friendly and many recognised us during the week. There is, however, no concierage .desk and all inquiries need to go the the front desk staff, all of whom were very accommodating and friendly. All in all, a very good vacation and we intend to return.
